"That’s good." Carolline nodded and walked in.
The two of them were silent on the way. Edward didn’t know what to say to Carolline, and she felt there was nothing to say to him.
As the elevator door opened, they walked in different directions. Carolline was going home for dinner.
——Dividing Line——
Daisy Willow returned from Kyoto, accompanied by Simon Carrington.
Simon found a hotel to stay in, while Daisy brought Elena back home. When she got home, she was utterly confused about the trip to Kyoto and how it ended up like this.
In the end, she agreed with Simon that she would go abroad with the Carrington Family in the capacity of the master’s personal caregiver. The master seemed a little disappointed, but eventually accepted this arrangement. It was enough that Daisy was willing to go to M Country with them.
Her biggest problem now was not knowing how to convince her parents after she returned. Simon volunteered to come with her to help solve the problem, and she naturally didn’t object since her own eloquence could hardly compare to Simon’s.
After she agreed, the master immediately arranged for Elena’s school enrollment, along with Stella Carrington and Liam Carrington.
The day before they returned, Fiona Adams visited Daisy in her room to tell her that she had entrusted Stella and Liam to her. Fiona felt very relieved.
Some of her words Daisy understood, while others, she didn’t quite comprehend. Wasn’t she just going with them as the master’s personal caregiver? She thought she only needed to take care of the master, and the Carrington Family was paying her a high salary for it.
Originally, Simon planned to accompany Daisy to visit the Willow Family first, but Daisy asked to go home by herself and have Simon come over later. Simon agreed.
During the journey, Elena didn’t talk much. When they arrived home, she happily hugged her grandparents, expressing her longing for them.
"What’s wrong? My precious Elena, did you not have a good time in Kyoto?" Elena’s grandmother held her and looked up at Daisy carefully, not noticing any unusual reactions on her daughter’s face.
"I had a great time, Grandma. I even made a little friend." Elena nodded. Besides the somewhat overbearing Stella, everything was fine. Especially Liam, who took out all his precious toys for her to play with.
He followed her everywhere, calling her "sister" all the time, treating her even better than his own sister.
"A little friend?" Elena’s grandmother was puzzled. Wasn’t it just a regular friend?
"It’s the son of Mr. Carrington, the lawyer. He is two years younger than her." So, he was a little friend, Daisy explained.
"So, is the master all right now?" Elena’s grandfather walked over and asked about the purpose of their trip to Kyoto. Elena making a few friends was a minor matter; the master’s health was of greater importance.
These days, while at home, he couldn’t help but worry.
Whenever Daisy called back home, she didn’t say much, but her father felt that she wasn’t as straightforward as usual. Her hesitations made him uneasy.
He always felt that something might happen. Elena’s mother, a rather rough woman, would scold him whenever she knew about his inexplicable worries.
"Yes, he needs someone to take care of him." Daisy didn’t elaborate for the time being.
"All right, clean up and go back to your room to rest." Elena’s father wanted to ask more, but her mother, concerned about the fatigue of their daughter and granddaughter, sent them to their room.
Daisy took Elena back to their room, and it was only then that Elena looked at her mother and asked sweetly, "Mom, why didn’t you tell Grandma and Grandpa that we’re going to travel with Uncle Carrington?"
