"..." Megan Clifton hurried back to the office room.

Carolline Ruiz entered the elevator just like that, and Megan couldn’t help but be amazed by her courage.

The two sat quietly in the elevator. Carolline couldn’t find a topic to talk about with him, while Gary Skate didn’t know what to say for the moment. However, Carolline had left an impression on him.

His memory had always been quite good, so he had memorized almost all the names of the management team after one meeting. But after seeing Carolline today, his memory of her was even more vivid.

Carolline’s floor came quickly, and she left without even a word of politeness.

As Gary watched her leave, he was somewhat at a loss for words.

Just as she stepped out of the elevator, her phone rang. It was Bryan Hawkins calling. He was worried that Carolline would have a hard time dealing with the new dean, so he called to check up on her, "How is it? Haven’t been scolded, right?"

"I haven’t done anything wrong." Carolline said frankly. Moreover, she really didn’t like Gary’s mindset. Medical staff should put everything aside and treat the patients as their top priority.

This is the most basic professional ethics for medical staff, and she believes that those who choose this profession will put their work first during working hours. However, they also need their own personal lives and circle of friends.

If she encounters someone who needs help, she would help them even if it’s not during her work hours. However, she can’t agree with his extreme thinking.

"Well, that’s good." Bryan Hawkins nodded. In fact, he was thinking that it would be better if Carolline felt a bit wronged. Being wronged might make her quit in anger, which would be the best outcome.

"Don’t worry about me. I’m at work, you should get to work too." Carolline finished and hung up the phone.

There were some things piled up from yesterday, so she spent the whole morning in the office room collecting data. She went home for lunch.

Carolline told her parents about Celia Wade’s situation, and Emily Hill sighed upon hearing it, "Poor Celia."

"..." Carolline nodded her head without saying much. She only hoped that Big Brother Qifeng would wake up soon and not really sleep for decades.

"Vegetative states can often have surprises and accidents. Since Celia has decided to stay with Qifeng, I believe Qifeng will feel it and try his best." Henry Ruiz rarely said such emotional words. He was also moved by the two children’s situation.

"Yeah, since Dr. Ruiz said so, Celia should have more confidence." Carolline nodded.

"By the way, I heard that you and the new Dean Gary don’t get along?" Henry Ruiz suddenly changed the subject.

Carolline’s face darkened, what does he mean they don’t get along? It’s just a difference in ideas, how did it get related to not getting along?

"Who told you that? That’s not true." Carolline denied, "It’s just a difference in ideas, we don’t have any conflicts."

"It’s normal for a leader’s ideas to be different from those of us, front-line staff. But don’t be at odds with leaders. It’s best if there is no conflict." Henry Ruiz nodded, he still believed in Carolline.

Nearing the end of the workday, Gary Skate mentioned he would be hosting a dinner for the leadership team in the hospital, kind of a small meeting. As the head nurse, Carolline was naturally on the invitation list.

However, Carolline wasn’t very willing to go. She had just promised Axel during lunch that she would go to Hawkins Mansion to have dinner with him after work. Besides, Bryan Hawkins was on his way to pick her up.
