Chapter 619: Chapter 619: Celia Wade Awakens (7)

"Celia Wade?" Avery Saunders’s scream came from the other end of the line. How did this woman have Jordy Wade’s phone in her hand, when he had clearly promised never to meet her again? And now, not only had they met, but she even held his phone.

"Yes, it’s me," Celia Wade calmly admitted.

Avery Saunders, hearing Celia Wade’s straightforward response, was so angry that she nearly stood up from her wheelchair. Over the years, Jordy had tried everything to help her stand up again. She had nerve damage in her legs, but there were medical miracles for this. She had been to the hospital several times before, but it had been of little success.

Later, Jordy found a renowned doctor who used acupuncture to gradually restore sensation in her legs. Eventually, she even felt pain. Once her nerves regained sensation, the doctor recommended rehabilitation training. Although it was tough, Jordy spent most of his time accompanying her, and she gradually became confident.

She knew that Jordy was helping and encouraging her just so he could leave her one day, but she deliberately ignored his intentions during this period.

By now, she could actually stand and walk a few steps. Fearing that Jordy would leave once she recovered, she intentionally slowed down her rehabilitation. When she was disabled, Jordy treated her incredibly well, making her feel warm and loved.

So, she didn’t want to face Jordy’s coldness once she fully recovered, just like before. She loved this man, even if he was so resolute toward her. She still loved him.

Some might say this was self-degradation, but to her, it was worth it for Jordy Wade.

"I’m looking for Jordy, and I don’t want to talk to you," Avery Saunders said as she sat back into her wheelchair, suppressing her anger.

"He can’t talk to you now, and he might never get a chance to in his life," Celia Wade calmly explained.

"...Celia Wade, I’m telling you, if it weren’t for Jordy’s sake, we’d be at each other’s throats. You’ve gone through a lot, yet you still don’t know how to be sensible, do you?" Avery Saunders threatened coldly. After so many years, she hadn’t spoken to Celia Wade. Their first conversation in years was filled with so much explosive tension.

"If I hadn’t learned, Jordy wouldn’t be unable to speak to you now," Celia Wade replied confidently. She just couldn’t bear to watch the man she loved suffer. Otherwise, she never would have allowed Avery Saunders and her family to be so arrogant in her presence.

Celia didn’t want Jordy to make a tough choice and was willing to wait for him. Since she loved him, waiting for ten or more years didn’t matter. But was Avery Saunders too full of herself, thinking she had won?

"..." Avery Saunders knew that Celia Wade was telling the truth, so she had no rebuttal. If Celia had truly pressured Jordy, he might have abandoned her, "Celia Wade, Jordy said he would wait until I was well. I’m not well yet."

"Hmm, I know. Otherwise, I would have brought him back a long time ago," Celia Wade snorted coldly. In this lifetime, she was the one Jordy truly cherished. Other women, including Avery Saunders, couldn’t compare.

Besides, with Jordy’s personality, how could Avery Saunders ever keep him if he wasn’t willing to stay?

"Celia Wade, I need to speak to Jordy," Avery Saunders said, not wanting to waste her time arguing with this woman. The more they talked, the angrier she became.

"You want to talk to him? Well, you better stand up straight away and come to Brighton Hospital. Maybe he’ll be relieved to hear you and wake up once you stand up." With those final words, Celia Wade hung up the phone.
