Chapter 604: Chapter 604: Heading to Kyoto (9)
On the other hand, Stella, in order to win more love from her father, would often tell harmless little lies to compete with Liam for their father’s affection, but he didn’t seem to mind much.
Thinking about it now, perhaps that was a huge mistake.
"Daddy, she stole the clothes! They were in my room just now, and now they’re gone, but she has a set in her hands. How could she not be the one who stole them?" Stella stubbornly insisted. How could it be such a coincidence that the little girl arrived, and her things disappeared, just as the girl happened to have a set?
"It’s not her because Daddy had given her a Barbie doll just like yours." Simon Carrington said with certainty.
"What?" Stella widened her eyes, then began to be unyielding. "Daddy is the worst. Didn’t you say that everything you gave me was unique in this world? I don’t want that doll anymore, I don’t like having the same thing as someone else. I hate Daddy—"
Having said that, Stella wanted to run upstairs, being very domineering and unreasonable.
"Stop." The Master spoke, his voice cold and authoritative.
With such a tone, it was not only Stella but also Simon who dared not disobey. Stella knew that if she rebelled against her grandfather at this time, her life would be even worse later.
"Grandfather—" Stella turned around, calling grievously.
"Kneel." The old master showed no mercy at all, and as soon as he spoke, Stella knelt down immediately. "You have parents who don’t just give birth but also raise you; who taught you to be so spoiled? Who told you that everything you own must be unique in this world? Have you lost all decency?"
Stella didn’t dare to talk back, only silently shedding tears.
Irene Houston couldn’t bear to watch any longer and wanted to step forward to say a few words for her daughter, but Simon quickly pulled her back and signaled her with his eyes. Since they had decided to leave, they shouldn’t interfere at this moment.
Irene Houston looked at Simon with some resentment, knowing in her heart that he was doing it for the child’s good, but emotionally she couldn’t accept it.
Finally, Irene Houston went straight upstairs.
Out of sight, out of mind; she had no choice but to leave her daughter behind. The Carrington Family couldn’t afford to lose that face, and she didn’t have time to take care of the child either.
Daisy Willow wanted to say something, but the atmosphere made it impossible for her to speak.
Elena was also scared, while Liam was unfazed, standing there with Elena, silent.
"Do you know your mistake?" The room was very quiet, and the old Master’s voice was very loud, questioning Stella.
"..." Stella was inherently stubborn and didn’t think she was wrong. What was wrong with her demanding that her father treat her uniquely? This was what her father had promised her before, and now he bought her a gift that was the same as someone else’s. Didn’t she even have the right to be angry? Why?
Suddenly she looked up at Elena, who was standing next to Liam. This little girl was quite capable, able to get Liam to play with her. In the past, when she brought her friends home, Liam was very aloof and refused to hang out with her friends, leaving her with no face at all.
But now, he was getting along so well with a country girl; it was too much.
She really didn’t like that girl called Elena; on her first day, she made her lose face like this. They had formed an enmity, and Stella thought resentfully.
Elena had been keeping her head down and hadn’t seen Stella’s unfriendly gaze. Instead, Liam, who was standing next to her, noticed his sister’s unfriendly gaze and shook his head disapprovingly.
Stella was too spoiled, and it was all due to her parents.
"Still daring to glare at others like that, huh? Summon someone, take her back to the room, and have her contemplate her errors for a day. Besides water, no food should be sent in." The old master spoke up, originally not wanting to interfere in how Simon disciplined his child, but he really didn’t know why Simon spoiled Stella so much.
It had turned her into such a bad-tempered girl.
If he didn’t intervene now, this child would probably be beyond saving when she grew up.
"Daddy—" Stella finally became scared, having not eaten breakfast and now having to starve for a day. She couldn’t take it. Last time, she had witnessed Liam being starved by grandfather for a night; that night, Liam was so hungry he couldn’t even sleep. How would she endure being starved for an entire day?
"What are you calling for? Take her away—" The old master was very assertive.
So, the butler took Stella away, and no matter how much she shouted, it was useless.
The Grand Hall quickly quieted down. Daisy Willow didn’t know what was going on, and as an outsider, she couldn’t interfere in other people’s family matters. Elena felt wronged, but she knew that her child wouldn’t steal things from others.
Moreover, Elena’s Barbie doll was given to her by Daisy and she had seen her put it in the bag to bring to the Carrington’s.
It was probably just a misunderstanding that hadn’t been properly explained.
She looked apologetically at Simon, who smiled back at her. "It’s nothing; you don’t need to feel sorry. Stella really does need some discipline."
"Sister Elena, let’s continue playing." Liam said, holding Elena’s hand, asking.
"Sorry, Liam, I don’t want to play anymore. I want to find my mom." Elena refused and went to Daisy Willow.
Daisy Willow took Elena’s hand and held it in her palm. Liam picked up the toys himself, and also picked up the Barbie doll that Stella had hit on the ground earlier. "Sister Elena, this is your Barbie doll, here."
"Thank you." Elena took it.
"Simon, why don’t you take Daisy and Elena out for a stroll? It’s a rare visit, take them out to have some fun. Liam, do you want to go with Daddy and the others?" The old Master suggested.
"Alright." Simon nodded in agreement.
Frankly speaking, Daisy didn’t want to go out and have fun. She had just made someone cry, and Irene Houston was clearly very heartbroken. She was even thinking about whether to explain the situation to Irene.
Not to mention that there was still a child being punished at home.
Simon went upstairs to get ready and then came down. Daisy reluctantly went back to her room to get a bag, and the two of them, along with Elena and Liam, went out.
