Chapter 571: Chapter 571: Honeymoon Internship (9)

However, everyone else seemed to enjoy it, except her. Luckily, Fog Mountain was very refreshing, making it a perfect place for families to escape the summer heat during vacations.

"We can just go take a look." Bryan Hawkins noticed Carolline Ruiz’s interest and gladly led her there.

"But we have to go at six o’clock. What if they can’t find us later,..." Carolline was worried that if they were not found by dinner time, the family would be worried.

"That’s fine, the bonfire party will start at nine, dinner is booked for seven, so we can go down the mountain around six forty." Bryan checked the time, the current moment being ten minutes from five o’clock, everything was still on schedule. "How do you charge for renting these vehicles?"

"Electric ones have a deposit of 500, 50 per hour, bicycles have a deposit of 300, 30 per hour." The boss kindly replied.

"We still have an hour left. We can just walk up there." Carolline looked at the people passing by them, asking about the rental vehicles, and everyone else also walked.

"Miss, going up and coming down will take about an hour and a half." Seeing the hesitation in their client, the boss quickly chimed in.

The elderly like to walk, but that’s because they have been exercising regularly at home. However, the business before him was about to be completed, so the boss increased his persuasiveness.

"That’s right, you really shouldn’t be walking that far these days. Let’s get the electric one." Bryan took out his wallet and paid the 500 yuan deposit directly. He could pay however much he used later from the deposit.

After learning how to operate it from the boss, Bryan carried Carolline on the vehicle and they set off.

The road was not rough but rather flat, making it more crowded the higher they went. It seemed everyone was heading to Sumoon Mountain.

At this time, people woke up from their afternoon nap and came out for some exercise. After witnessing the spectacular view of the sun and moon in the same sky, they descended the mountain for dinner and then attended the bonfire party. The schedule was just perfect.

Since the two were using a vehicle to travel, they reached Sumoon Mountain first.

The so-called Sumoon Mountain was nothing more than a small hill. Rainbow Town was situated in a very high place, so even a seemingly not-so-high hill was actually quite high compared to other hills. It just seemed not that high in comparison.

Sumoon Mountain’s beautiful scenery was indeed as impressive as described, full of birdsong and fragrant flowers. There were lush green trees and winding streams, all marvelously captivating. Carolline was stunned as soon as she got off the vehicle.

She looked at the scenery without taking her eyes away. Bryan parked the vehicle in a designated spot, and they held hands and walked to the top. Bryan picked a spot with the best view.

They leaned together, waiting for the amazing scene of the sun and moon in the same sky.

The two drove slowly on their way, admiring the beautiful scenery as they chatted. They drove leisurely, arriving twenty minutes early.

As time passed, those who chose to walk arrived one after another. At first, there were only the two of them, but the area gradually became more crowded. Seeing them in the pavilion, others also came in.

At six ten, the sun was still quite dazzling, and the moon really appeared in the sky. The sun and moon were indeed in the sky at the same time. Carolline didn’t have a good grasp of geography, so she wasn’t quite clear about the principles behind this.

Some people in the crowd began to exclaim. Those taking photos continued taking pictures. In fact, this phenomenon of the sun and moon in the same sky also happened in other places, but it was rare and usually involved the sunset and the moon instead of the sun.

Carolline was quite excited to see this spectacle with her own eyes and couldn’t help but take out her phone to snap several photos. She regretted not bringing Axel along. "We should have brought Axel out to see this."

"We can come back again when the trip is over tomorrow. We’re going to stay here for three to four days." Bryan reminded her casually when he saw Carolline’s regretful expression.

It’s not like they were going back to G City tomorrow. If she liked it, he could bring his wife and child here every day.

However, it was he who suffered the most during these five days of romance, right? This wife, all she had in her eyes and heart was her precious son, without any place for her husband.

"Yeah, we’ll bring everyone to see it next time." Carolline nodded, feeling enlightened.

After watching the sun and moon in the same sky, the two left the pavilion hand in hand, freeing up the spot for others. On the mountain, there were also clear springs. Some people filled their water bottles at the spring. Seeing how refreshed they looked, Carolline felt intrigued as well.

At heart, she was still a little girl who was curious and easily moved by all sorts of rare and interesting things.

Bryan bought a bottle of mineral water, poured the water out, and handed the empty bottle to her.

Carolline took the bottle and happily lined up by the spring. Usually, tourists would take photos of the sun and moon in the same sky before coming to the spring to fetch water after they had seen enough.

Carolline didn’t have to wait long in line before it was her turn. She filled the bottle to the brim, threw a coin into the pool, followed others in making a wish, then joyfully held the precious spring water. "We’ll bring this back for Axel to drink. It can ward off disasters and relieve pain."

Bryan couldn’t help but chuckle. As for warding off disasters and relieving pain, he thought only old men and women would believe in such superstitions. He never thought his own wife could buy into such nonsense.

Although these were mere nonsense, who could say that Carolline’s love for Axel was not included in the mix? The love of a mother for her child should not be tainted.

So, Bryan just let her do as she pleased.

After walking and sightseeing for a while, the couple decided to descend the mountain at half-past six.

Just as they sat back in the car, they received a call from Axel, who sounded very unhappy, "Dad, Mom, where are you guys? You went out to play without me?"

Carolline knew she was at fault and quickly apologized on the phone, promising to return as soon as possible.

However, Bryan took the phone, "Be good and wait in the hotel. Your mom and I will be back soon."

After hanging up, Bryan looked at his wife, "My dear, when Axel grows up, we don’t need to coddle him like this. He’s a boy and will have to bear a lot of responsibility in the future."

Actually, he quite agreed with Mr. Meng’s way of educating Axel. In contrast, he didn’t like his own grandmother’s way of spoiling a three-year-old.

"But I see you usually indulging him a lot." Carolline pouted. What a double standard! This was the epitome of the official setting a fire and forbidding the common people from lighting a lamp.

"Yes, I indulge him, but you apologizing and flattering him is coddling him, not indulgence. We have every right to have our own fun. Who said we have to bring him?" He spoke earnestly, without an ounce of shame.

Carolline simply turned her head and refused to entertain him.

Though seemingly quarrelsome, their sweetness was overflowing!
