Chapter 564: Chapter 564: Honeymoon Internship (2)

"Why not? Here it is." Despite being self-created, someone still believed it with conviction.

Carolline Ruiz didn’t bother with him, closed her eyes, and decided to take a rest, as they were going out to have fun today. Axel was so excited last night that she had told him five or six stories by his bedside, and he still refused to sleep.

Finally, after a lot of threats, he agreed to close his eyes. Upon returning to her room, she was tossed and turned by the child’s father and forced to wake up at 6 a.m., having barely slept for a few hours.

She didn’t sleep well either, worrying that if she slept late on her own, it would be bad for the whole group.

The man also liked to leave hickeys on her. In the past, when she read novels, she thought it happened casually, but after experiencing it personally, she realized it was deliberately done.

Of course, when both of them lost control, it was another story.

Luckily, he knew not to mark her in conspicuous places. Every time she saw the red and blue marks on her body, she pouted in discontent. However, the man had no awareness and even arrogantly said, "This is my seal on you, letting others know you’re mine."

She felt dizzy. Who would dare to look at or show off those marks? He had absolutely no sense of propriety.

As soon as Carolline closed her eyes, she fell asleep in no time. Bryan Hawkins stopped by the side of the road, lowered her seat, and covered her with a thin blanket so she could sleep well without catching a cold in the air conditioning.

Then, Bryan got on the expressway to catch up with the others.

Halfway, they stopped at two service stations for a break. Carolline didn’t wake up, so Axel came over to see her. Carolline was snoring, clearly exhausted.

"Dad, why is mom so tired?" Axel held Bryan Cooper’s hand and asked curiously.

"Well, she told you stories last night and you wouldn’t sleep no matter how long she told them." Bryan had been waiting in the room for his wife for a long time and almost spanked his son before grabbing his wife back.

"Oh, then I won’t ask mom to tell me stories anymore." Axel shrank his neck and felt guilty, but he didn’t know why he always became excited the night before an outing.

"Axel, are you hungry? Grandma will take you to buy something to eat," Sophia Lawson came over and brought Axel away.

"No need, Grandma. We have plenty of food in the car." Axel said sensibly. His mother had told him to be thrifty and frugal, whether rich or not, only spending money when necessary and not when it wasn’t needed.

Sophia liked this about Axel, but the Hawkins family wasn’t short on money. Although she liked his frugal attitude, it also made her heartache. Emily Hill didn’t feel sorry for Axel at all. Instead, she praised him and everyone ate what they had in the car, be it pastries or milk, until they weren’t hungry anymore and resumed their journey.

Bryan also ate some food, two sandwiches, and had a cup of coffee. He left some food in the car for Carolline, but she still didn’t wake up.

Carolline finally woke up when they exited the highway and approached Rainbow Town. She felt like she had slept for a long time and even had a few dreams.

"Finally awake?" Bryan finally felt relieved. He had given her a thirty-minute deadline; if she hadn’t woken up by then, he would have woken her up himself, fearing she might have slept too much.

"Did I sleep for a long time?" Carolline asked in confusion, and looked out the car window, noticing the sign indicating the direction to Rainbow Town, "Are we almost at Rainbow Town?"
