Chapter 541: Chapter 541: Success in Lawsuit (3)

As for the small houses Cole Duncan gave to Jane Auclair, Daisy Willow did not mind, and Simon Carrington didn’t insist on pursuing them either.

The outcome of the judgment satisfied Daisy Willow. Both parties divorced, Elena went to Daisy, and some money was granted. Cole’s mother was so angry that she fainted on the spot. Daisy Willow felt that this was enough.

Originally, she was not a person with great ambitions and did not care too much about whether she could claim all of Cole Duncan’s assets. As long as Elena lived with her, she would go out to find a job and find a way to raise Elena.

Of course, the current result is even better. With this money, there’s no need to worry about Elena’s future.

She wouldn’t use the money for herself or her parents because they didn’t care for the Duncan Family’s money. Elena was Cole Duncan’s daughter, so he should provide child support. Since Cole’s assets included a share for Elena, Daisy Willow convinced herself to accept the money on this basis.

Before Elena comes of age, Daisy Willow will save the money for her.

After the judgment came out, the Judge asked Cole Duncan if he wanted to appeal, but he ultimately shook his head and refused. Hearing this, Jane Auclair was even more furious, as she knew Cole wouldn’t appeal.

She also knew that even if she appealed, she would still lose, as long as Simon Carrington was on their side. Unless Simon Carrington stopped acting as Daisy Willow’s attorney, Cole’s decision to give up made Jane very upset.

The Duncan Family’s assets were now reduced to two-thirds of their original size, which originally belonged to her, were now reduced to so much less. Jane felt very uncomfortable about this situation.

"If you want to sell your shares, come to the Duncan Family office building tomorrow morning, and I’ll wait for you there," Cole Duncan approached Daisy with his wheelchair. "Take good care of Elena."

Having recovered for so long, Cole Duncan already started working at his company three days ago.

"I will, and as the judgment says, you can visit Elena on weekends if you have time," Daisy Willow nodded. She would, of course, treat her own daughter well.

Now that Elena had been granted to her, Daisy would not hide Elena away. However, if Elena had been awarded to the Duncan Family, she might have never had the chance to see her daughter again.

"Good, thank you," Cole Duncan nodded. He had already come to terms with the situation, and he had to cheer up as he was still a leader responsible for providing meals to hundreds of workers.

"You’re welcome," Daisy Willow’s voice still sounded soft. She had no plans to become enemies with him since he was Elena’s father.

"I heard that you’re taking Elena back to your old house. Is that true? I think G City would be better in many ways, and Elena’s already adapted to the environment here. Going back might make her uncomfortable," Cole, having overheard Daisy’s mother talking about it, took the opportunity to discuss the matter.

"Hmm, I’ll reconsider," Daisy Willow nodded, knowing that it would be better to stay in G City than to return to the old house.

For Elena’s future, Daisy Willow actually preferred G City. She would need to communicate this decision with her parents, though.

"I’ll be waiting for you tomorrow. You can come anytime," Cole Duncan nodded.

Jane Auclair couldn’t bear it and walked over, "Are you done talking?"

"Let’s go back," Cole Duncan nodded to Jane Auclair. He had asked her earlier if she didn’t mind his assets being reduced so much, and if not, they would get married. Since he had decided to marry Jane, Cole wasn’t as reluctant as before.

"Okay," Jane Auclair agreed and went behind the wheelchair to push Cole personally. After taking two steps, she turned back to Daisy Willow and said, "That money is from the child’s father to the child. I hope, no matter how many years later, you won’t instigate the child to come back and ask her father for anything else."
