Chapter 512: Chapter 512: Causing a Commotion in the Courtroom (7)
"\"She’s doing well.\" Daisy Willow glanced at him and then looked away.
\"Those shameless adulterers, just wait, we will definitely fight to get Elena back.\" The elevator arrived, and Mother Duncan glared at Daisy Willow and Simon Carrington. She knew that Daisy Willow would bring Simon Carrington. These shameless adulterers, hiding under the guise of lawyers and clients, dared to be so brazen.
Carolline Ruiz and the others took the next elevator up. When they arrived, Cole Duncan and the rest had already entered the courtroom, and they too followed inside.
Daisy Willow and Simon Carrington sat in the plaintiff’s seats, while Cole Duncan and his mother, along with Jane Auclair’s hired lawyer, sat in the defendant’s seats. Bryan Hawkins and Carolline Ruiz sat on the audience side, while Jane Auclair, looking lonely, sat on the other side with the Duncans’ servant.
Carolline Ruiz glanced at Jane Auclair, remembering the eldest daughter of the Morris Family, Oscar Brown. Although she rarely visited her father in the Hospital, her whole family had attended Oscar’s wedding. Oscar had the air of a normal Morris Family heiress, completely different from Jane Auclair in front of her.
Even though Jane Auclair was the illegitimate daughter of the Morris Family, one couldn’t deny that she shared half of the same blood with Oscar. However, their demeanors were entirely different; Jane Auclair didn’t have the slightest awareness of a lady.
Jane Auclair didn’t know she was being observed. She played with her phone, not worrying about the lawsuit’s result, only waiting for the verdict.
As for Elena, whether she could return to the Duncan family or not, she didn’t care. After all, a five or six-year-old child couldn’t pose a threat to her. She could still have her way in the Duncan family.
Celia Wade, along with Mr. and Mrs. Willow, arrived at the trial before the court session started. They naturally sat in the audience’s seats.
\"Order in the court, the trial will now begin. I am the presiding judge, Gao Jie.\" With the statement of the judge, the trial officially began. \"Firstly, the plaintiff’s party will present the claims.\"
\"Respected judge, esteemed jury, I am the plaintiff’s representative lawyer, Simon Carrington. On behalf of my client, I present the following two requests for divorce: first, due to the irreparable breakdown of the marital relationship, my client requests that their daughter, Elena Duncan, be under my client’s custody, starting from the divorce date; second, as the breakdown of their relationship was caused by the husband’s repeated infidelity, my client requests half of their joint marital property, along with half of the pre-marital property as my client’s emotional compensation. Thank you!\"
As soon as Simon Carrington finished speaking, he sat down.
Before the opponent’s lawyer could begin, Mother Duncan couldn’t hold back anymore. She threw everything she could reach at Daisy Willow and Simon Carrington. All of the thrown items hit Daisy Willow and Simon Carrington due to the short distance and her furious emotions.
Not only that, Mother Duncan also cursed loudly, \"Daisy Willow, you shameless, wanton woman! You have no moral sense, and yet you dare to demand half of our Duncan family’s property! You conceited and ignorant woman, are you out of your mind?\"
\"...\" Daisy Willow did not respond. However, when she heard Simon Carrington’s claim for half of Cole Duncan’s property, she was shocked too. She had never thought about taking that much from Cole Duncan.
The situation happened so suddenly that Carolline Ruiz and Jane Auclair in the audience seats didn’t respond immediately. Jane Auclair was also surprised. Previously, hadn’t Mother Duncan told her that Daisy Willow only wanted Elena and would not claim the Duncan family’s property?
