His work rarely had any flaws, and he had even delegated many tasks, but he still felt he wasn’t spending enough time with Carolline. He had to think about whose remaining labor could be squeezed, of course, the second child was definitely a choice. However, Madelyn Lincoln was pregnant with twins, so she had to take good care of herself.

Once the two little ones were born, he wouldn’t let the second child escape.

Recently, the second child seemed quite cocky in front of him, since he got two children at once. Um, he glanced at the girl who was concentrating on her phone, sizing her up, wondering if she would be willing to have another child with him.

Suddenly, Carolline shuddered and closed the novel page on her phone, realizing it was almost 5 o’clock. She looked up at him, whose thieving eyes stared at her with a smile, making her hairs stand on end.

Was he plotting something against her again?

"Do you want to go to the Hawkins Family for dinner tonight?" Bryan Hawkins coughed lightly, feeling embarrassed under the scrutiny of Carolline’s eyes, and quickly diverted her attention.

"Sure." Carolline nodded her head. The other day, Axel had missed them and had asked Sophia Lawson to get them. She wondered if it was appropriate to keep Axel at the Hawkins Family just like that. Half of Axel’s summer vacation had already passed.

Except for the first few days of summer vacation when Bryan had taken Axel to the Maldives, Axel had been cooped up at home. In the past, she used to schedule a few days off to take Axel somewhere with Emily Hill and Henry Ruiz to escape the heat, but this summer, she hadn’t made any arrangements.

Bryan immediately turned off his computer, packed up his things, and called home to let them know the two of them would be coming for dinner. Naturally, the happiest person was Axel.

On the way, Carolline thought for a while before speaking to Bryan, "Why don’t we take Axel back home tonight? Axel is also restless at home, and it’s better for Sophie Carlson to have some peace and quiet since she’s pregnant."

Bryan knew that she was missing Axel, and it would be nice to have him at home as well. "Okay, I’ll talk to Grandma and my parents about it tonight. Let them all go take care of Sophie and the child in her belly."

With two new little ones soon, the old lady wouldn’t be as clingy with Axel.

As they expected, when they got home, the Hawkins Family had already started dinner. After the meal, Bryan explained the situation, and the old Mrs. Hawkins didn’t object. She agreed to let them take Axel home on Friday, stay the night, except when Carolline had her night shift.

The couple agreed readily, and Axel, overjoyed and not caring about video games or cartoons anymore, cheerfully went upstairs to pack his stuff, getting ready to go home with his parents.

Carolline naturally went up to help him, and she had a little secret to share with Axel.

Bryan, being the clingy husband and father, wanted to follow but was stopped by his grandmother. "Have you resolved the issue online? You know, Axel doesn’t know about it now, but if he finds out, he won’t spare you."

"Grandma, there wasn’t anything wrong in the first place. Why do you make it sound so serious, as if I did something unforgivable to my wife and child? My relationship with Phoebe Miller was before I met Carolline, alright?" If he had known he would meet another Carolline in his life, he would never have had that relationship.

But how could someone meet their future so easily?
