Chapter 486: Chapter 486: Enemies Encounter on the Narrow Road (5)

As they took the elevator, people going in gave them extra glances. The two parents wondered if their attire was embarrassing their daughter. In contrast, Celia didn’t mind at all and continued chatting with the elder couple.

It somehow made those people feel strange for giving the elderly couple extra looks.

Daisy Willow deeply felt that Celia was such a considerate girl. If she had any misgivings about her before, there would be none left after today.

It would be hard to find another girl like Celia in this world.

After tidying up for her parents and boiling some tea, Daisy told Celia that she was meeting Simon Carrington at five. Celia waved her off, assuring that she would take care of the parents and child.

Daisy expressed her gratitude and said goodbye to her parents and Elena Duncan before leaving.

Simon Carrington arranged to meet Daisy at the café below the hotel he was staying in. He had already prepared the documents and didn’t disturb her knowing that she was going home to enjoy family time.

When Daisy arrived, Simon was already there. She rushed over, panting, "I’m sorry, Mr. Carrington, for making you wait."

"It’s fine. I ordered a cappuccino for you." Simon nodded and gestured her to sit. A waiter quickly served her a cup of cappuccino.

"Thank you." Daisy nodded, without any particular preference for coffee.

"This is the contract appointing me as your attorney and the related documents. You need to sign at the bottom right corner of each page and place your right thumbprint." Simon instructed.

Daisy did as Simon instructed. There were three copies of the contract: one for Daisy to keep, one for Simon, and the other for archiving, which Simon would take back to his law firm.

After signing, Simon asked Daisy some related questions, like her official position and income, and requested evidence. Daisy immediately called Carolline Ruiz, who told her to go to the Hawkins Family office tomorrow and meet Bryan Hawkins, who had already prepared the documents. Daisy just needed to sign them, and they could be photocopied and used as evidence.

"Carolline says to go tomorrow." Hanging up the phone, Daisy told Simon.

"Mhm, I’m free tomorrow, so I’ll go with you. We’ll get all the evidence together to save you some extra trips." Simon said considerately.

"Thank you." Aside from showing gratitude, Daisy didn’t know what else to say.

"No need to be so polite. You’re paying me attorney’s fees, so I should be the one helping you." Simon nodded, "Also, are you sure you don’t want to include child support from Cole Duncan for you and Elena in our lawsuit? He shouldn’t be lacking that money."

"Forget it, I just want him and his mother to agree to the divorce and grant me custody of Elena. I really don’t care about the rest. Besides, I’m sure his mother wouldn’t agree, and who knows how long the lawsuit would drag on." Daisy didn’t want to waste too much time on the lawsuit.

She had already decided to use the power of the Hawkins Family to gain custody of Elena, and once her divorce with Cole was finalized, she’d take Elena back to her hometown. In the future, she needed to devote herself to being filial to her parents.

"Alright, I just wanted to fight for my client’s best interests. Since you insist, I won’t pressure you. Would you like to bring Elena out for dinner?" Simon didn’t have many friends around, so he suggested inviting Elena, whom he quite liked.
