At least in terms of work, Liu Changfu was relatively fair and just to his staff.

"Well, once your quotas are confirmed, you can directly contact Dean Jin of Love Home Hospital." George Edwards nodded. Since this matter was entrusted to Carolline Ruiz, everyone had full trust in her.

Although this matter was important to the government, it was not a big deal for their hospital, and as members of the management team, they didn’t need to worry too much. Besides, with someone as responsible as Carolline Ruiz handling it, there was nothing to worry about.

"Okay, I got it." Carolline Ruiz took the business card.

After George Edwards left, Carolline Ruiz reopened her computer to prepare the materials, and then received a call from Dean Jin of Love Home Hospital.

"Is this People Hospital?" When the call went through, Felicia Miller asked. She had just received contact information from various hospitals and needed to go over them one by one.

"Yes, hello, Miller..." Carolline Ruiz replied, but before she could finish the polite remark, Felicia Miller interrupted her.

"Well, the focus this time is on children, so the list of beneficiaries you guys confirm should preferably be under the age of 14. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by not making this clear earlier." Felicia Miller said in a formulaic tone.

"That’s fine, I understand. Thank you." Carolline Ruiz didn’t really mind.

"Okay, let it be." Felicia Miller hung up the phone.

Targeting children under 14 years old made things much simpler for Carolline Ruiz. She could directly check the records of pediatric patients, and soon she shortlisted five children.

Then she registered these five children and prepared to go out to see these poor kids.

Among them, two had leukemia and had been hospitalized for over a year, two had cerebral palsy, and one was an infant, less than a year old. The infant had a weak body, requiring hospitalization for treatment every month, lasting for ten days to half a month, and the family was gradually unable to afford these expenses. In fact, their hospital had previously made targeted donations for these five children, but since the staff all had limited salaries, the donations were also limited, and the financial gap these five children needed was really large.

Five children desperately needed help, but their hospital had only two spots, meaning she had to painfully choose two children from the five.

Carolline Ruiz sighed, the children all looked lovely, but unfortunately, they had been struck by illness either at birth or during their growth.

It was at this moment that Bryan Hawkins called. He had finished a meeting and only then thought to check his phone, finding the text message Phoebe Miller had sent in the morning, reminding him of the charity banquet on Friday.

He dialed Carolline Ruiz, "Honey, can you switch shifts on Friday? There’s a charity banquet that I’d like you to attend with me."

"Is it the Miller family charity banquet?" Carolline Ruiz thought, it must be that one.

"Yeah." Bryan on the other end gave a very refreshing answer, likely feeling there was nothing to avoid since he wasn’t doing anything wrong.

"I just received a task assigned by the hospital leaders, and if nothing goes wrong, I should be attending that day, representing our hospital." So, she couldn’t say she would accompany Bryan Hawkins to the event, but they would see each other there.

"That’s fine, we’ll go together. Can we have a home-cooked meal tonight?" Bryan Hawkins nodded and suddenly changed the subject.

"Sure, we’ll have to stop by the supermarket to buy some groceries first." Carolline Ruiz agreed.
