Chapter 442: Chapter 442: Coming Back Early (2)

Emily Hill brought a bowl of porridge to Carolline Ruiz’s room, pushed open the door, and found her sprawled out on the bed, fast asleep. Emily wondered if she had snuck out again last night.

It was rare for Henry Ruiz to sleep in. Today was his day off, and he was going fishing with Garth Aguirre, so he quickly ate a bit of breakfast and was done.

"Carolline came home this morning?" asked Henry Ruiz, preparing for his fishing trip while waiting for Garth Aguirre to join him.

"Yes, your daughter is becoming increasingly out of line. Bryan Cooper spoils her and refuses to utter a single word of reprimand. But we can’t let this go on." Emily Hill still felt Carolline staying out all night was a serious issue, especially since she was both a mother and wife.

"Carolline is Bryan Cooper’s responsibility now. If he wants to say something, he’ll say it, and if he doesn’t want to, he won’t. Besides, Carolline is our daughter, she wouldn’t do anything outrageous." Henry Ruiz didn’t seem overly bothered.

Emily Hill was speechless. Carolline was her daughter, and she knew she wouldn’t behave inappropriately. However, if her in-laws found out about it, it wouldn’t look good. She didn’t want Carolline’s behavior to give people a chance to criticize, so she had always held her to tight rules since her childhood.

In the evening, when Carolline gets off work, Bryan Hawkins timely picks her up at the hospital gate. They drive home to the Hawkins’ villa where the dinner starts only when they arrive.

Axel was very happy to see his daddy. Bryan Hawkins took out a model airplane he had bought in City A and gave it to Axel, who gleefully accepted it. Hugging his father tightly, he planted a kiss on his cheek, "Thank you, daddy."

"No need to thank me." Bryan Hawkins replied, looking pleased.

Carolline sat in the living room chatting with Sophia Lawson and Madelyn Lincoln. Madelyn gave off the vibes of a gentle and tender woman, especially since she was pregnant now. She was cherished by all members of the Hawkins Family. The Hawkins matriarch paid more attention to Madelyn than Carolline, but Carolline didn’t feel jealous at all.

Carolline also knew that Madelyn Lincoln had already registered at a well-known private hospital for regular prenatal check-ups.

Bryan Hawkins was chatting with William Hawkins. William couldn’t believe that Bryan let Frank Ferguson, that scoundrel, off so easily after the incident at the Seagace Hotel, "Brother, you let the Ferguson people off too easily again. If you leave a snake alive, it will come back to bite you."

"The Ferguson’s are only good at scheming, Frank Ferguson himself is not worth fearing. He’s now relying on a woman to survive. There really isn’t much he can do." Bryan responded.

"Yet he dared to scheme against the Hawkins Family. I just can’t let him off so easily." William was still displeased. Matilda Ferguson had brought a fair share of troubles upon his sister-in-law, and now her brother wanted to profit off their Seagace Hotel.

"Enough, leave room for others to retreat. It also leaves a way out for us. Doing business, making friends is better than making enemies. And you, after Sophie has the baby, you should close up the Law firm and take over the Hawkins Group. I’ve worked hard all these years, now I want to enjoy life with my wife and Axel. As for Camellia, have her stop this celebrity lifestyle. The position of public relations department manager has been always kept for her."

Bryan Hawkins starts planning for his future. Ever since Joyce Lopez resigned, the PR department has had a deputy manager. The position of General Manager has been always kept for Camelia Hawkins.

"You better talk to Camellia yourself about that. She and Dustin Paul are deep in their romance. She won’t be willing to give up her freedom to be tied down by a job." William Hawkins was nonchalant.

Soon, the butler came over to announce dinner time.

Axel sat between his parents. Madelyn Lincoln sat next to the matriarch, naturally accompanied by William Hawkins. Camelia Hawkins had not been coming home for dinner recently.
