Carolline Ruiz had arranged everything for later.

"How long till the court session?" Daisy Willow was very touched that Carolline Ruiz had considered so much for her. A simple thank you would never be enough. In the future, when she was able, she would definitely repay Carolline Ruiz’s kindness.

"From the time the subpoena is received, to the lawyers’ meeting to discuss, and then to set a trial date, at the very least it will take a week." This was Carolline Ruiz’s guess; she didn’t understand the exact procedure and would have to ask Simon Carrington.

After having dinner, seeing that Daisy and her daughter’s faces had improved somewhat, Carolline Ruiz again called Celia Wade and told her about Daisy and her daughter’s situation. Celia Wade happily accepted and said that she would be back on time after work, telling them to go home early to prepare food. They would have a hot pot tonight, and she would go buy hot pot ingredients after work.

Daisy took out her wallet, wanting to pay, but Carolline Ruiz stopped her, "Wait until you’re working and have an income. Then you can treat me. For now, don’t worry about it."

On the way, Elena remembered to ask about Axel. Carolline Ruiz said that Axel had been living with his great-grandmother lately, and she would bring him to play with Elena next time she had a day off.

Elena nodded her head, nestling close to Daisy Willow, feeling extremely happy. The two hours they spent apart previously had been terrifying.

At home, Celia Wade had already returned, and she was cooking chicken soup in the kitchen, having bought a small hen.

Just a small hen, yet the kitchen was a mess. Celia Wade looked at the chaos in the kitchen helplessly, scratching her head, feeling very embarrassed.

"Sorry, I heard that hot pot soup tastes better when you use chicken or bone soup as the base, so I... and then the kitchen just..." She couldn’t bring herself to finish the sentence.

"..." Carolline Ruiz and Daisy Willow walked to the kitchen door and saw the scene inside. Both were quite surprised. Daisy didn’t know what to say, but Carolline Ruiz bluntly joked, "Are you sure you were making chicken soup and not just slaughtering the chicken?"

"Do supermarkets sell live chickens?" Celia Wade rolled her eyes, then soon realized that Carolline Ruiz was being sarcastic. She flicked Carolline Ruiz and then smiled at Daisy Willow. "So this is Daisy and Elena, huh? Nice to meet you. I’m a disaster in the kitchen, studied for a while but with no success. Sorry for the mess! I’ll call the hourly worker soon to come clean this up. We can continue later, continue with our meal."
