Chapter 424: Chapter 424: Daisy Willow’s Rise (1)

Near eleven o’clock, Cole Duncan received a call from the butler, saying that Daisy Willow and little miss, Elena, had fallen asleep here. He told the butler not to disturb them and to return at once.

Madam Duncan rolled her eyes when she heard this, she really couldn’t stand her son’s concern for Daisy Willow.

After hanging up the phone, Cole Duncan was relieved and decided to wash his face, and wipe his back before going to sleep. Since Daisy Willow wasn’t by his side, he didn’t want anyone else to help him bathe. He wasn’t used to being touched by others.

"Mom, it’s getting late, you should rest. I will have a good talk with Daisy tomorrow. Also, I really hope you can treat Daisy and Elena better, for the sake of your son. Elena is your biological granddaughter too." Cole Duncan played the family card. He hoped that when Daisy returned tomorrow, their lives would be different from before.

Madam Duncan said nothing in response. She thought her son was under some kind of charm tonight, so she decided to let him sleep it off. Whatever he wanted to discuss could wait until tomorrow. Besides, there was no way she would treat Daisy kindly.

Cole Duncan didn’t call out to his mother. It was late, and he needed to think carefully about what he was going to say to Daisy tomorrow. If she really wanted a divorce, persuading her was the most important thing.

That night, Cole Duncan didn’t sleep well because of all the thoughts running through his head.

The next day

Daisy Willow found out that her phone battery had died overnight. Her charger was at the villa, so she had to go back at least once, even if she was planning to leave with Elena. She was determined to have a proper conversation with Cole Duncan, so she had to go back.

Elena slept soundly beside her, breathing evenly. Daisy felt satisfied, knowing that Elena wouldn’t sleep this well at the villa.

Daisy decided to make breakfast with the flour, eggs, and milk she found in the fridge. She could bake some bread and fry a couple of eggs.

As Daisy was stirring flour in the kitchen, the front door was opened from outside. It was the servant, Katie, who had brought breakfast for them.

"Lady, young master gave me the key and asked me to bring you breakfast," Katie explained.

"Oh, thank you, Katie." Daisy nodded, surprised that Cole could be so thoughtful. But their relationship had already changed, and she couldn’t return to the past.

The only reason she had endured it all was for Elena, to give her a complete family with both parents. But clearly, her efforts hadn’t been appreciated, and instead made Madam Duncan think Daisy was cheap. It even made Elena unhappy.

"Lady, the driver is waiting downstairs. Is little miss awake? Young master said you can go back after having breakfast." Katie relayed Cole’s orders.

"I see." Daisy was planning to go back anyway. "Elena is still sleeping, let her wake up naturally."

After that, the two didn’t say much. Then Katie volunteered more information. "Oh, by the way, Lady, Miss Jane Auclair didn’t come today. She probably won’t be back for a while. I heard her say yesterday that she’s going to H Country."

Katie thought Daisy was worried about Jane and wanted to reassure her. She figured no wife would be comfortable with her husband’s mistress showing up to make trouble every day.
