Carolline nodded her head, and soon, grandmother Hawkins focused her attention on her. Even if grandmother Hawkins temporarily ignored her, Austin and Sophia wouldn’t.

"Fine, let’s talk here. When are you two going to hold your wedding? Find some time for both families to meet, let your grandmother check the calendar for an auspicious date. I’ll tell you what, Eldest son. If you don’t give me a wedding this year, get ready for me to break your legs."

Austin Hawkins laid it out firmly. It didn’t matter that he was the eldest son or that he was bringing honor to the family. Getting married and starting a family were things a son was supposed to do. Besides, Carolline was such a good daughter-in-law, who had been lost once; they couldn’t let her leave again.

"Ok, we’ll wait for our family to initiate the conversation. Please, grandmother, help us find a good date. As for the families meeting, we’ll follow my father-in-law and mother-in-law’s schedule. Once we’ve talked with them, we’ll set a date for the meeting." Bryan Hawkins, holding Carolline’s hand, happily said.

"You finally know what’s right, young man." Austin Hawkins finally showed a smile to his eldest son. As long as the eldest son agreed, the matter would be handled by them, and more joyous events in the family were welcomed.

With their son’s issues resolved and the issue of carrying on the family line taken care of, they just needed to focus on their daughter’s happiness, and their family would be truly complete.

For the rest of the time, Carolline was chatting with Emily Hill. Emily pulled her aside and said many words of gratitude. She never thought it possible for the two of them to wind up together after going through so many twists and turns, and she had to marvel at the wonder of fate.

Before dinner, Madelyn Lincoln was brought back by William Hawkins. It was then that Carolline officially met William Hawkins’ wife and learned that Madelyn Lincoln was an editor at a magazine agency.
