Axel is almost six years old now, and it’s entirely possible for them to have a second child, considering Carolline had a normal delivery at the time and could have had another baby a long time ago.

"Can you talk about something else?" Carolline was speechless, "Fine, just go up there, don’t let people gossip."

"What’s there to gossip about? I’m a pregnant woman now, they all have to take care of me." Megan Clifton looked very matter-of-fact, but while she could be taken care of, Carolline still had to work hard.

After Megan Clifton left, Carolline called home and told Emily Hill to cook for an extra person at noon. Axel talked to her for over ten minutes and then hung up, saying he didn’t want to disturb her at work.

With everything ready, Carolline changed into her nurse’s uniform and started her rounds.

When Bryan Hawkins arrived at the Hawkins Family company, Xavier Estrada contacted the other party and advanced the meeting time a bit. They left at 10:10 and met at a coffee shop nearby.

After waiting for a while, the other party arrived. Bryan Hawkins was a little surprised to see Joyce Lopez. Even Xavier Estrada hadn’t guessed it was her before.

Although Joyce Lopez was no longer the manager of their Public Relations Department, she had plenty of ways to make an appointment with the Hawkins family, instead of going through the official channels. Who knows how long that would take.

After Joyce got married, Xavier didn’t have any hostility towards her anymore.

"Why is it you?" Bryan Hawkins laughed when he saw her, and only then remembered that he had received a call from her some time ago. However, the call was interrupted before they finished talking, and Joyce never contacted him again.

He really didn’t expect her to follow the rules so strictly now.

"I had no other choice. I wanted to respect the Hawkins’ rules. Luckily, you have time now," Joyce Lopez smiled. Over the years, she had let go of her past grievances.

Her marriage was quite happy now, and her husband treated her well. He had even driven her here himself before rushing off to a company meeting.

"I’m sorry about that. You never called me again after that day. I thought it wasn’t anything important. So, what can I do for you?" Bryan Hawkins asked her to sit down, "What would you like to drink?"

"Just some plain water, I’m still breastfeeding." Joyce Lopez didn’t hide anything, and she wanted to get back home quickly because her baby was waiting for her.

"Things are different now, huh? Alright, let’s go with lemon water then." Bryan Hawkins decided for her. Adding a bit of lemon and rock sugar to the water would undoubtedly improve the taste.

"This is the first time Brother Bryan has taken care of me like this. It’s nice being friends again," Joyce sighed, "Brother Bryan, I’d like to hold my baby’s Hundred-day Banquet at the Royal Winery. Could you please help me arrange it?"

They had thought about going through the reservation process, but the Royal Winery wasn’t available for rent just because they had money. That’s why she came to ask for Bryan Hawkins’ help.

"Since you’ve called me brother, I naturally have to arrange this for my sister. Xavier, I’ll leave this matter to you. As for the specific time, you can tell Xavier later." With a generous heart, Bryan Hawkins agreed quite readily.

"By the way, I think I heard Carolline that day. Brother Bryan, can I gossip a little? Are you together with Carolline now?" Joyce Lopez had always been unaware of the relationship between Carolline and Bryan Hawkins. She never imagined Carolline would be Bryan’s type and hardly took her seriously. It seems she had underestimated her.
