She had never known this side of Bryan Hawkins before. Although he had been passionate in their previous encounters, she had always been cautious and restrained herself.

After all, he didn’t love her enough. If her flaws were exposed one by one, would he soon tire of her?

Carolline did not dare risk it, so in front of him, she felt like she was not being true to herself and had to hide her perceived shortcomings.

In front of Avery Graham, Carolline was lost in thought, and Avery believed even more in her conjecture. Weighing the situation, Avery decided to be the third wheel in their relationship.

Bryan Hawkins was genuinely curious and couldn’t understand what exactly Avery Graham, who was just a little above average in looks, found contemptible in Bernard Taylor.

"Can we eat prestige? Besides, other people might take such a boyfriend, but I dare not. Furthermore, I don’t like men who are too effeminate, I prefer ones with a more masculine demeanor. Also, Bryan, I’m not the type of girl who cares about looks alone. A handsome appearance isn’t my standard in choosing a man."
