Secret Wealthy Marriage
Chapter 229: Time Flies (3)

Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Time Flies (3)

They had been married for three years, and every year she fantasized about having a grandchild. However, Megan Clifton’s period was always punctual, which annoyed Auntie to no end.

So, Axel’s godmother shifted all her love to Axel. Every time she saw Carolline Ruiz, she would criticize Megan and say that Andy Aguirre’s failure to marry Carolline was the Aguirre family’s loss.

After every such encounter, Megan would confront Carolline, "Carolline, what kind of friend are you? You know my mother-in-law can’t stand me, yet you still listen to her complaining about me, right?"

"..." Carolline couldn’t be bothered to respond. Auntie was not only Megan’s mother-in-law, but she was also the aunt who had watched Carolline grow up. Moreover, Auntie was Axel’s godmother. Should Carolline kick her out of the house?

If Carolline did such a thing, Auntie’s close relationship with her mother Emily Hill would surely guarantee a fierce whipping from Emily.

"Why aren’t you saying anything?" Megan was quite frustrated. In fact, apart from the issue of having a child, she and her mother-in-law got along quite well in other aspects.

It’s just that she might have a child later than expected. She still had a few years until thirty. After all, if she had a child before thirty, wouldn’t that be enough?

Not everyone was like Carolline, who gave birth to such a big, chubby baby like Axel when she hadn’t even turned twenty-one. When Megan wanted to refute her mother-in-law’s views, her mother-in-law immediately brought up Carolline as an example.

At times like this, Andy Aguirre never made a sound. He would not speak up to help his mother nor his wife. Whatever the two of them bickered about, he always had a casual attitude.

When they got back to their own home, Andy’s thick skin would come out. He would be like a sticky candy that couldn’t be shaken off. Whenever they made love, he’d conscientiously use protection, giving her the power to decide when they would have a child. Even if she wanted the Aguirre family to have no more descendants, Andy wouldn’t have an opinion.

She loved Andy, and now Andy loved her very much. She was not part of a Double Income No Kids Family and naturally wanted a child of their own. A child is the crystallization of love between two happy people. Thus, how could she let the Aguirre family line end with them?

However, all she needed was some time, as she was busy with exams now. She wasn’t like Andy, who could get promotions step-by-step through technical skills alone. She had to study some boring theoretical knowledge to improve herself.

"What do you want me to say?" Carolline rolled her eyes and told her, "Anyway, let me tell you, since Axel’s godfather loves Axel so much, if you have a baby, I guarantee Andy will spoil you even more than he does now."

The reason Carolline said this was that she was taking Auntie’s side in trying to persuade Megan. Mainly because Auntie, like her own mother, constantly pressured her to encourage Megan.

"He already spoils me to the Heavens. If he spoils me even more, does he want to send me to the universe? Is this pampering or a disguised way of driving me away?" Megan had some peculiar views.

Other women would never be satisfied with their current situation. No matter how much their husbands spoiled them, they would always want more. However, Megan was easily satisfied. She was pleased with the current state of affairs, where Andy would never dare go against her.

She said she didn’t want children, and Andy never went to bed with her without taking any contraceptive measures. He would never resort to childish actions such as poking holes in condoms. This was precisely why Megan loved Andy more and more every day.
