The night gradually deepened.

Bryan Hawkins suddenly took out his cell phone and called his brother, William Hawkins. Perhaps it was time for him to take care of everything he ought to and give Carolline Ruiz the happiness she deserved, as it was something he owed her.

"Hello, big brother, hello, hello, ..." After several hellos, with William Hawkins not hearing Bryan Hawkins’ voice, he assumed that his phone was being accidentally pressed during his sleep and decisively hung up.

Since her last leave, only a month had passed, but Joyce Lopez felt as if she had not seen him for a very long time.

However, due to the unpleasant scenes that had occurred in the hospital ward during the past few months, she had not had the courage to appear before Bryan Hawkins. Firstly, his words had been too direct last time, truly hurting her and requiring a period of time for her to recover. Secondly, she had given some thought to her approach, realizing that if she did not give up, she would have to change her tactics and not stick to him relentlessly as she had previously.

For over a month, Bryan Hawkins had not shown up at the company, so managers from various departments brought their folders to report their work to him. Joyce Lopez was also there to report her work and, additionally, to make a cup of apologetic tea for him.

She was the last one to come in and managed her time extremely well.

"Mr. Hawkins, this is West Lake Gritist. Drinking too much coffee isn’t good." Joyce Lopez no longer referred to him as brother Bryan, remembering his words on maintaining the proper etiquette in public settings. She could not display her special relationship with him in the company.

Therefore, no one at the company knew about the close relationship between the Lopez and Hawkins families.

"Thank you." Bryan Hawkins glanced at her. She had not caused any trouble recently, nor had she brought up topics that he disliked, so he accepted the cup of tea she offered.

While he was in the hospital with a fever last time, she had stayed by his side for the entire night, despite the fact that he had later taken out his frustration on her, making her cry. He had always thought Grandfather Lopez would come to settle the score, but he never did.

"You’re welcome." Joyce Lopez smiled, opened the folder, and began reporting her work. Details of each collaboration that Bryan Hawkins had completed were relayed back to the company, and she developed corresponding public relations plans based on each specific agreement.

Joyce looked stunning, but no one in the company dared to call her just a pretty face. Her work capabilities were exceptionally outstanding, and Bryan Hawkins was at least satisfied with her plans.

She had already drafted a perfect public relations plan today for the contract he had just signed before returning to the company.

"Very good, let’s go with this." Bryan Hawkins nodded his head, highly satisfied with Joyce Lopez’s work plan.

"Then I’ll go back to work." Joyce Lopez nodded, and with Bryan Hawkins’ signature, she did not linger and took her leave.

Joyce Lopez left, and Xavier Estrada entered. In recent months, her performance had been commendable, so he had not targeted her particularly.
