The nurse came over, checked the drip rate of the IV tube, and made a slight adjustment. Seeing so many people in the room, she said, "One person staying for care is enough. Too many people will affect the air quality in the ward."

"Auntie, let me stay." Joyce Lopez immediately said. She wanted to stay by Bryan Hawkins’ side to take care of him, hoping that when he woke up tomorrow morning, the first person he saw would be her.

She couldn’t just do nothing now. She had to show Bryan and the Hawkins family her sincere devotion and her unwavering love for him.

"What reason do you have to stay?" The old lady Hawkins was not very comfortable seeing Joyce here, and was even angrier after hearing her shameless words.

After William Hawkins arrived, the Hawkins family left. Joyce had no choice but to leave with them.

Joyce took a taxi in front of the Hawkins family and politely refused their offer to give her a ride home. Old lady Hawkins watched the taxi drive away for at least ten minutes before calling her family to get in their car.

"You’re too hard on little Joyce." The master said to his wife. He knew his wife liked Carolline Ruiz and, to tell the truth, he liked her too. But Joyce was also a child of the Lopez family, and their families had been friends for generations. If Mr. Lopez found out, he would be heartbroken.

"If we’re not strict now, it’ll be harder to untangle later. Bryan won’t like her. We’ve already had a Matilda Ferguson in the past. If there’s another one, who can stand it?" Old lady Hawkins wasn’t worried. The reason she was doing this was because she highly valued the relationship between their two families.
