After counting silently to three, Bernard Taylor turned and left.

It was the first time a woman had called him a scoundrel, a word that didn’t exist in his vocabulary.

Well, Avery Graham really had guts.

As Bernard left, the only expression left on Avery’s face was happiness, pure happiness.

She went into the doctor’s resting room with Carolline Ruiz, sipped the fruit juice Carolline had drunk, and asked, "Did you come with Gavin Campbell? Where is he?"

She once asked some male colleagues about this, then learned that Carolline had long been seen as Aguirre Family’s future daughter-in-law. They dared not compete for the woman Andy liked, and they were not capable of doing so either.

The relationship between the Ruiz Family and the Aguirre Family had always been good. It was possible that they had been engaged since childhood.

As for Andy, she only knew him by name but not by sight. Since he had come, she would stick to Carolline and have dinner with her and Andy. She had to help Carolline see if this man was truly the right one for her.

Later, the two women talked a lot about Bernard Taylor. As Avery complained, she found that she had no one to vent her frustrations to until she met Carolline, who listened to her grievances.

For the rest of the time, Avery listed Bernard’s crimes, and Carolline listened without being able to get a word in. Two hours later, Andy finally came out of the operation room.

The first thing he did was to look for Carolline. When Avery saw Andy in person, her first impression was quite good. He was indeed a striking man; no wonder Carolline was waiting for him.

"Dr. Aguirre, thank you for your help. Let’s have dinner together tonight. I’ll arrange a special car to send you and Nurse Carolline Ruiz back. It won’t take much time, only an hour and a half. Please do us the honor?" The head surgeon who followed behind asked Andy to stay and noticed Avery by Carolline’s side, "Nurse Avery didn’t leave either? So Dr. Taylor is still here, right? Let’s invite everyone to dinner together. We, City Hospital, will be the host. I’ll make the call now."

"Dr. Taylor? Is it Bernard Taylor?" Andy hadn’t looked into the details before coming; he only cared about Carolline. But he really didn’t know why Bernard was here.

Could it be that he was trying to secure his future in medicine? But with Bernard’s medical skills, he could go anywhere he wanted.

However, Bernard’s personality was similar to Carolline’s father, Henry Ruiz, especially when he was young. Back then, his father often said that if old Henry hadn’t met Auntie, he would have been a bachelor for his entire life.
