"Ah, here we are." Liam Carrington glanced at Charles Morrison, then closely followed Axel Hawkins and Elena Duncan, watching the couple snuggling up ahead without feeling like a third wheel at all.

"Why did you come today? I was saying that when I return this afternoon, I was planning to book a flight to celebrate your birthday with you." Elena Duncan cradled the roses, loving them dearly. The surprise from Axel was indeed too overwhelming for her.

"I thought of coming over early to surprise you. My birthday is in just four days, and I was worried you might not make it back, so I came early." Axel Hawkins explained, pleased to see how much Elena liked the flowers he had given her, and thought to himself that it was true what they say in books—girls really can’t resist red roses.

"It’s a good thing I came early, otherwise who knows how popular you’d be over here. If I had come later, someone might have swept you off your feet, right?" "I was just joking." Seeing Elena pout, Axel Hawkins explained with a smile.

"Brother Axel, my sister knows you’re joking. Otherwise, she would’ve asked the driver to stop and made you walk back a long time ago." Listening to their dialogue, Liam Carrington couldn’t help but join in.

"Really?" Axel Hawkins didn’t feel that Elena could be so cruel to him.
