Chapter 1143: 012 I said I have a boyfriend_3

"Ah, here we are." Liam Carrington glanced at Charles Morrison, then closely followed Axel Hawkins and Elena Duncan, watching the couple snuggling up ahead without feeling like a third wheel at all.

The three of them got into the car, and Liam Carrington took the initiative to sit in the passenger seat. The driver waited for them to settle in before driving off.

"Why did you come today? I was saying that when I return this afternoon, I was planning to book a flight to celebrate your birthday with you." Elena Duncan cradled the roses, loving them dearly. The surprise from Axel was indeed too overwhelming for her.

"I thought of coming over early to surprise you. My birthday is in just four days, and I was worried you might not make it back, so I came early." Axel Hawkins explained, pleased to see how much Elena liked the flowers he had given her, and thought to himself that it was true what they say in books—girls really can’t resist red roses.

"?" How could she not make it back?

"It’s a good thing I came early, otherwise who knows how popular you’d be over here. If I had come later, someone might have swept you off your feet, right?" Axel Hawkins said this on purpose, knowing well that Elena felt the same as he did—that she had eyes only for him—but he also knew that foreigners can be quite assertive in pursuing girls.

Only Elena would be different. Had it been someone else, they might have been charmed away by a ’prince’ like that.

"Am I that kind of person?" Elena pouted. They had both expressed their feelings to each other back when they were sixteen, and over these past two years, hadn’t they trusted each other?

"I was just joking." Seeing Elena pout, Axel Hawkins explained with a smile.

"Brother Axel, my sister knows you’re joking. Otherwise, she would’ve asked the driver to stop and made you walk back a long time ago." Listening to their dialogue, Liam Carrington couldn’t help but join in.

"Really?" Axel Hawkins didn’t feel that Elena could be so cruel to him.

"Did Sister Stella and Kent Auclair come with you?" Elena suddenly remembered an important issue. She knew that Stella Carrington and Evelyn Willow had also taken a liking to this school before their high-school exams, and they were all supposed to attend the same university.

Of course, next year there might be five of them.

She actually quite envied Axel and the others for at least being able to experience the domestic college entrance exams, something she had never felt. Whenever she followed domestic forums, she heard a lot about it and kind of wanted to experience it too.

"No, I came alone. They might arrive a few days later." Axel Hawkins shook his head. He had come early to surprise her; if Evelyn Willow or Stella Carrington had known about it, it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore.

Liam Carrington breathed a sigh of relief, though he didn’t quite understand why he felt somewhat uneasy at the thought of Stella Carrington arriving soon. Over the years, without Stella Carrington around, his interactions with Elena had been incredibly wonderful.

Similarly, Elena also breathed a sigh of relief.

She was quite afraid of facing Stella Carrington, although Evelyn Willow had said that Stella wasn’t always difficult to get along with. She didn’t say much about it, considering her as a sister in her heart for her father’s sake, but every time they met, she knew Stella hadn’t accepted her.

Nevertheless, she still asked Evelyn Willow and Axel Hawkins to look after her a bit, knowing the three of them not only attended the same school but were also in the same class.

In fact, Evelyn Willow was actually two years older than both of them, but he had previously performed poorly in school, had to repeat a year in elementary school, Axel skipped a grade, and Stella started school early, so by the time they reached junior high, all three were in the same class.

"That’s absolutely great, Brother Axel, you really do have foresight!" Liam Carrington applauded.

"..." Elena was speechless; this guy, if Stella saw him, she could definitely be infuriated by his antics.

At noon, Elena chose a Chinese restaurant that served Chinese cuisine; she sometimes really enjoyed eating there. Liam Carrington particularly couldn’t handle spicy food, so he could only eat the less spicy dishes from the Chinese cuisine menu.

So when Elena had their family driver head to that Chinese restaurant, Liam Carrington was unhappy for a moment.

Elena couldn’t bother with him; when she felt like it, she just loved eating Chinese cuisine. Sometimes she could be quite willful.

At that time, Liam Carrington usually let her have her way. After all, he was the boy and Elena was the girl. Boys should be gentlemanly and not be too petty with girls, as his father had taught him.
