Although the room was beautiful, it was too whimsical for her taste. She was about to graduate from kindergarten and start elementary school soon. Her mom had said that elementary school students are like little adults, so she didn’t want such a room.

After lunch, Daisy Willow and Simon Carrington bid their goodbye. Although Axel and Elena were reluctant, they knew Aunt Carolline needed to rest well, so they didn’t stay. After all, they were going to spend the entire summer vacation in G City, so there would be plenty of time to play with Axel.

Carolline had not told him that even though she was indulging him, she had not gone to see a doctor to determine whether the baby in her belly was a boy or a girl. But those experienced elders were all saying her belly looked like it carried a boy, and she feared that if their words proved prophetic, it might upset him.

"My wife, so you’re worried about this?" Bryan Hawkins chuckled, "Actually, as long as the child comes from your belly, whether a boy or a girl, I’ll love them. Also, I genuinely have a feeling that this time, it is definitely a girl. But if not, it’s fine, don’t worry."

Bryan Hawkins watched Carolline asleep and began to speak softly to the baby in her belly, "Daddy’s little princess, you have to be good inside mommy’s tummy. Mommy and everyone else seem to think you’re a boy, but daddy believes you are the little princess he has long awaited. So, my little princess, make daddy proud. Daddy has prepared many beautiful Barbie dolls and a pink dreamworld for you. Your Sister Elena says they are incredibly beautiful, so don’t disappoint daddy. Daddy is waiting for you, and he will love you and mommy for a lifetime, along with Brother Axel."

Carolline couldn’t hear him, but the little one in her belly suddenly began to move around excitedly. Bryan Hawkins was pleased to see it but worried that his little princess’s vigorous movements might discomfort Carolline, so he quickly soothed her with his hand.

"Okay, okay, daddy knows you’re excited. It won’t be long now; you can come out and see daddy and this beautiful world. For now, quickly sleep well with mommy, because sleep helps you grow well," Bryan Hawkins said happily. Under his touch, it wasn’t long before the little one in Carolline’s belly settled down.
