Chapter 1114: 007 The eldest Li who is crazy about his daughter_2
She knew her husband, who was utterly infatuated with their daughter, would definitely not agree to going abroad for their wedding.
"Exactly," Daisy Willow nodded in agreement.
"Anyway, if you’ve decided to keep it simple, then just keep it simple. Simon Carrington, just make sure Daisy isn’t short-changed," Carolline Ruiz genuinely felt that Daisy being with Simon was the best thing that could have happened to her in her life.
She also believed that Simon would never let Daisy suffer. The reason she said it was merely for the sake of saying it.
"Yeah, don’t worry, I won’t let her suffer," Simon nodded, giving his assurance.
The three of them chatted for quite some time, until they saw Bryan Hawkins had already opened up the two boxes of beautiful clothes Simon had bought, captivated by the pink and yellow baby clothes, and was so enamored with them that he hadn’t heard any part of their conversation.
Simon saw Bryan’s enraptured expression and meticulously removed the pins that secured the clothes, then carefully examined them before finally putting down the piece in his hands to reach for a new one to unpack.
Seeing the astonished expressions on Simon and Daisy’s faces, Carolline Ruiz smiled helplessly and explained, "Yeah, he really likes girls. He treasures all the girl’s clothes and gifts sent our way, handling them personally."
"But what if..." Daisy was a straightforward person, but before she could finish her sentence, at the mention of ’what if,’ Bryan’s sharp gaze swept over like a machine gun, scaring Daisy into quickly shutting up.
Previously, when Simon had bought two boxes of girls’ clothes at the Maternity and Baby Store, she had suggested buying one box for a baby boy and one for a baby girl, since no one knew whether Carolline Ruiz’s baby was a boy or a girl.
It was best to be prepared for both; that way, once the baby was born, at least one set would be useful. Otherwise, what would they do with two boxes of girls’ clothes if it turned out to be a boy?
"There’s no ’what if.’ Carolline Ruiz is definitely having a daughter this time. My little princess came to me in a dream, saying she was royalty. Right, Simon? You’ve really got a good eye, I really like these two boxes of clothes you sent. In fact, out of everything I’ve received, these are the most to my liking," Bryan joined their conversation as he walked over.
The others had given more neutral gifts, suitable for both a boy or a girl, but he couldn’t understand why—after he had made it so clear they were expecting a daughter, they would still send things that could be used for both. It was truly annoying.
So, he liked the purely girlish items Simon had brought today the most.
"Well, as long as you like them," Simon nodded, not saying much more.
"I just heard ’wedding’—are you two getting married? When is it happening, and what venue and scale are you thinking of? I can offer a fifty percent discount," Bryan said, very generous and forthright.
"Thanks in advance, we’re tentatively aiming for the end of this month," Simon replied with a smile. The fifty percent discount really meant they could save a lot of money—who said wealthy people don’t know how to economize?
"No problem, there aren’t many days left this month. Are you sure you can complete all the necessary arrangements in time?" Bryan thought they might be rushing things.
"No, we just have some time over the kids’ summer vacation. Besides, your family will have another little one in the second half of the year, which will be busy too. Now’s the perfect time. We can all have a meal together, liven things up, and letting people know is enough," Simon said carelessly.
This was also what Daisy Willow wanted, and her parents didn’t see the value in making a big fuss over things either.
At the time of Daisy Willow’s wedding to Cole Duncan, it had been quite the spectacle, but behind that spectacle were many tears shed and indignities suffered.
So this time, they agreed that a simple ceremony would suffice, and there was no objection from them.
"It really is simple, but you both indeed don’t have much time. That works then. Once you’ve set a specific date, just call me, and I’ll have someone arrange everything for you. Are you planning to do it in G City?"
"Yeah, it’s convenient for Daisy’s family. My parents don’t mind, they’re used to flying around anyway. We just need to let them know when the time comes," Simon nodded, having thought through many of the details.
"Alright, you guys keep chatting. We’ll have lunch at home in a while. I’m going to wash the clothes you gifted for my princess," Bryan said, taking the clothes he had unpacked to the Laundry Room.
