Chapter 1076: 027 Pampering Wife Epilogue (Final Chapter)_7
The child was taken away, and Bernard Taylor came to his wife’s side, "Must it have been very hard? Honey."
Bernard truly felt sorry for Avery. When she was carrying Lulu, it had already been tough on her, and Lulu was not even a year old yet, and here they were with another on the way. Bernard really felt sorry for her.
He had initially thought the baby in Avery’s belly was going to be a mischievous little boy. Instead, it turned out to be the lovably plump Princess Lulu. He had even said that when the naughty boy was born, he would spank him well. But now, it turned out to be a little princess, and Bernard really couldn’t bear it.
Now, to top it all off, he, as her husband, had gotten his wife pregnant again, leading to another whole nine months.
"Not at all," Avery Graham shook her head. She felt that with such a loving husband, such well-behaved children, and a peaceful and harmonious family, how could she possibly feel it hard?
Bernard gave her a kiss, and the two embraced tightly.
"I have a feeling this one will definitely be a son." After a long time, Avery Graham suddenly spoke up.
"If you want a son, then it’ll be a son," Bernard didn’t mind either way. He already had a daughter, and having a son was still acceptable. Mostly because his wife wanted a son, so they would have another son.
Everyone hopes to have one son and one daughter to form a perfect ’good’ character. It’s every couple’s desire, as well as every family’s.
However, having a boy or a girl isn’t up to them to decide, so Bernard wasn’t too demanding about whether it would be a boy or a girl. As long as it was a child Avery gave birth to, whether boy or girl, the child would be his treasure.
Avery Graham snuggled up to him on her own, "Honey, do you think there really is such a thing as reincarnation? Zoe is so clingy to you, it seems like she doesn’t like me at all."
Zoe Taylor’s full name was Zoe Taylor, a name Avery Graham had chosen, meaning literally missing Violet Orson.
Violet Orson’s life had been brief, passing away so young, and even if she had not, she would not have had her own children; such is the sadness of a woman. So, when Bernard asked for her opinion on their daughter’s name, she almost blurted out Zoe’s name.
She still remembered Bernard’s incredibly moved expression in the ward at that moment. If it weren’t for too many people being in the room, she thought Bernard would certainly have embraced her and expressed his gratitude to her.
Actually, she did not need Bernard’s gratitude; she just needed Bernard to remember that she loved him too. Since she loved, she would unconditionally accept everything he had in the past.
Violet was his first love, so it was very fitting for their daughter to be named Zoe.
Everyone, including Carolline Ruiz, said the name sounded beautiful, marveling at how Avery Graham, usually so rough around the edges, could come up with such a lovely name for their daughter.
"How could that be? Zoe is still young, right? When she grows up, she’ll know you are her dearest beloved mommy," Bernard comforted her, and he wasn’t just saying this to placate her.
Because when Zoe grew up, and her teachers and classmates would gather around her, commenting on how lovely her name sounded, she would rush home to ask her father who had come up with her name. Bernard would tell her it was her mother, and from then on, Zoe would adore Avery, hanging around her all the time.
From then on, the bond between mother and daughter only grew stronger day by day.
"Mmm, I know you’re just sweet-talking me, but I’m still looking forward to it." Avery Graham nodded, and the couple stayed nestled together all afternoon. There was no passion, but the affection was thick and sweet.
Bernard held his wife with one arm and laid his other hand gently on Avery Graham’s belly, softly caressing it. That was his second child, and aside from his concern for his wife, he was quite excited.
As someone once said, if your wife is willing to have a second child for you, then please, men, cherish your wives.
For him, even if Avery did not have a second child for him, he would still cherish her all his life, because she was his wife, not because of what she could do for him.
"Honey, I love you," Bernard spoke tenderly.
After a long while, getting no response from Avery Graham, Bernard looked down to see that Avery Graham had actually fallen asleep.
Indeed, it’s typical of a pregnant woman to be so sleepy.
But it was quite alright. Bernard bent down to kiss her smooth forehead, then laid her flat on the bed. Outside the room, the sound of Lulu’s crying could be heard. Bernard knew the little one had thought of him and wanted him to come and play with her.
