Chapter 1003: 018 Shall we be together_5

As soon as Avery heard the words "brother-in-law," her eyebrows lifted. Seeing this, Giselle Browman immediately conceded, "Don’t glare at me, you were the one who said Bernard Taylor isn’t an outsider."

"I said he’s not an outsider because we’re partners, what on earth did you make of that?" Avery was really frustrated.

"I know you guys are partners, life partners, work partners, all kinds of partners, anyway, I don’t care too much about it, just hurry up and make Bernard Taylor my brother-in-law, I’m waiting to make all those girls jealous. I have to get up early tomorrow, sis, I’m going to sleep now, goodnight." With that, Giselle Browman slipped away.

She definitely had to slip away, given the look Avery was giving her, she might have killed her.

Avery listened to Giselle Browman lock the door, feeling a thousand silent curses sweep through her mind.

Eventually, she opened her neatly packed suitcase again, resignedly hanging each piece of clothing back in place, deciding to stay since there were still so many things to do here.

As they had thought, Ryan Parker was eager to marry Celia Wade. A perfect date had come up right before the Tomb Sweeping Festival, and Ryan Parker picked it, much to everyone’s surprise when they received the invitation. Wasn’t it supposed to be on May Day?

Even if they didn’t have to wait until May Day, they expected it would at least be close to that date. However, while spring was still in bloom, Ryan Parker was already impatient to marry Celia Wade.

Everyone was happy for them and the Parker Family even chartered a plane to bring Celia Wade’s friends and family from G City to Kyoto.

That day, everyone was happy for Celia Wade, congratulating her on finally seeing the sunny skies after the storm. Avery was moved too. They used to bicker when they met in the past, but seeing Celia Wade so beautiful and happy today silenced Avery completely.

"Yo, what’s up today? Lost for words at the sight of me, huh? Heard Avery opened a branch, is that true?" During some free time, she went with Carolline Ruiz, Mia Parker, and Megan Clifton, who had been wildly active since giving birth, to see the lovely bride. The ladies huddled together in one room, sharing intimate gossip.

"Yeah, that’s right, some influential people helped." Carolline Ruiz is rarely gossipy, but whenever she mentions her relationship with Bernard Taylor, Avery thinks Carolline Ruiz gets as excited as if she had adrenaline injected.

"Yeah, those really are some influential people." Celia Wade knew who Carolline Ruiz was talking about.

"Whose big day is it exactly today? Need to make fun of me? Be careful, you might just invite trouble in the bridal chamber tonight." Avery threatened with wide-open eyes.

"Alright, alright, let’s not tease Avery anymore. She’s not causing a fuss today, and if we really offend her, she might make a scene that would spoil Celia’s day. After all, you and Carolline Ruiz married men who are richer than each other," said Mia Parker, sticking up for Avery by steering the conversation towards the wealth of the two men.

"Right, we’re now so poor all we’ve got left is money. In the future, if there’s anything that needs money, just let us sisters know," said Celia Wade with a grand gesture.

She meant to say that she was practically a rich woman now. Ryan Parker had transferred all his previous assets to her and had made some investments on her behalf. Now, her money was truly more than she could ever spend.

Whenever there was a call for charitable donations, she would donate a lot, always anonymously.

She didn’t know how else to spend it. She didn’t want to live a life of constant luxury shopping any longer, nor was it possible to flaunt wealth, and after the wedding, she planned to continue running her online store and do something meaningful. Otherwise, life would just be too boring.

Of course, she didn’t have to do anything. She could lie in bed all day, and the money in her account would be enough for a lifetime.

"Alright then, since you mentioned it, give me a million to spruce up my house. I just bought a small villa and only have enough to cover the cost of the house, not the renovations." Avery joked, spreading her hands.

Celia Wade actually got up and took a check from her bag, writing one for 1.5 million, handing it over to Avery, "Since it’s a villa, make sure the renovation is top-notch. We’ll visit your place next time."

"?" Avery looked at the generous Celia Wade. That’s definitely the attitude of a rich lady.
