Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy!
Chapter 91 Do You Want to Steal My Daughter Again?

Chapter 91: Chapter 91 Do You Want to Steal My Daughter Again?

Talking about the time Wendy Hart fell into the sea.

All these years later, Amelia Garcia still relived that scene in her dreams, like a nightmare she couldn’t wake from.

It was clearly an accident that occurred during a quarrel with Wendy, but Wendy was adamant it was Amelia who intentionally pushed her.

To make matters worse, Lily Garcia happened to witness the incident.

As one might expect, with such conclusive evidence, Amelia found herself unable to defend against the accusation.

Wendy, already frail and often unwell, was fished out of the sea and underwent several resuscitations in the ICU, almost meeting her demise.

At the time, Emma Carter was furious and wanted to call the police to arrest Amelia, but it was Old Master Hart who suppressed the matter and saved her from prison.

To this day, she remained deeply grateful to the old man.

Back then, even Christopher Hart didn’t dare to speak up for her.

But Grandpa Hart was insistent, stating it must have been a misunderstanding, and that Amelia couldn’t possibly be so cruel.

"You don’t know, do you? She is especially hypocritical, always acting uncompetitive and docile, intelligent and reasonable, soft and weak. She’s fooled many elders. Thankfully, my mom has an eye for detail and could see right through her, calling her out for being cunning and sinister."

Listening to this, Amelia was practically amused to anger.

Indeed, she had always been docile and intelligent, taught from a young age by her mother and grandmother.

That’s how a lady of standing should be.

How did it turn into hypocrisy and deceit in these people’s eyes?

Those who carry malice in their hearts see malice in everyone else.

Amelia retorted abruptly, "So, your mom is the Monkey King, then."

Ah, the audacity! It was nothing but an attempt to create a charge where there was none.

"What?" Lily Garcia was lifting her teacup as she spoke, stunned for a moment before raising her eyes to Amelia, spotting the mockery in hers, and with a thud, she slammed the cup down. "What do you mean by that?"

"I’m praising your mom."

"..." Lily gritted her teeth, "Do you think I’m stupid? Can’t I tell you’re being sarcastic?"

"Oh, then you’re certainly not stupid." She was being sarcastic, indeed!

"You!" Lily, so infuriated she almost wanted to slam her hand on the table, held back, but spitefully said, "You are just like my short-lived sister, utterly repellent!"

"If I’m so repugnant, why come to see me? Do you enjoy suffering?"

Lily rose up suddenly, looking down at Amelia with contempt.

"Like I enjoy seeking you out! I’m here to tell you that I am marrying Christopher and from now on you better stay away from him! You’d best go back wherever you came from!"

"And that child, don’t assume just because you have a fox’s face resembling her mother, and she’s called you ’mom’ a few times, that you actually are her mother! She’ll soon be calling me ’mom’!"

After saying all this, Lily leaned forward, boastful yet furious, pointing to herself, and enunciated each word, "I! Am the future Mrs. Hart of the Hart Family!"

Amelia watched her claim her territory with calm eyes, as well as the rage-filled figure storming off.

Lily’s previous words couldn’t get to her, all except for one—that the child would soon call her ’mom’!

Hope had said she didn’t like Aunt Lily, naturally not wanting the woman to be her mother.

What was she to do?

If only she could take Hope and leave.

Disturbed by Lily’s words, as she drove back, she ended up outside the hospital as if possessed.

When she came to her senses, she found herself standing at the bottom of the inpatient building.

It was dinnertime; was the little girl eating right now?

Should she go up?

What if Christopher was there too...

Feeling a retreat in her heart, she turned to leave, but after taking only two steps, she suddenly clenched her teeth and turned back, striding into the hospital ward.

Having come all this way, the thought of not seeing her daughter made her uncomfortable.

If she encountered Christopher, all the better; she could talk to him and have him give up custody of his daughter.

He was married to Lily Garcia, and they would undoubtedly have children of their own in the future, so why keep a child from a previous marriage and let it become a nuisance in their relationship?

Amelia reached the outside of the hospital room, and Fuller, upon seeing her, was taken aback, "Mis—"

"I’m Clarke Norton," she cut in swiftly.

Fuller hesitated for a moment before correcting himself, "Miss Norton, you’re here to see Miss Hope."

"Hmm, is Christopher inside?"

"President Hart is not here."

She pushed the door open.

What she didn’t know was that as she entered, right behind her—around the corridor corner—a man had finished a phone call and was walking over.

Fuller hurriedly greeted him, whispering, "President Hart, madam is here."

Christopher Hart looked up at him and, without correcting the term ’madam,’ merely asked, "Does she know I’m in the hospital?"

"She doesn’t... she just asked if you were in the room. I said no, and she went in," Fuller replied.

The corner of the man’s mouth curled into a half-smile.

Standing outside the hospital room, he was about to enter directly, but through the glass window, seeing the woman by the bed feeding the little girl, he decided against it.

Inside the room, Hope was thrilled to see her mom, immediately acting spoiled and asking her mom to feed her.

Amelia had always been firm with her children, never indulging or compromising; her sons were fully capable of taking care of themselves.

But faced with her daughter, her guilt-ridden daughter—she felt the request was a blessing!

So, sitting by the bed, she spoon-fed the little girl.

"Are you afraid of having surgery?"

"Not scared. Daddy said I’d be fine after a nap. And after the surgery, I won’t get sick again! I’ll be able to go to kindergarten and can play in so many places, make lots of friends!"

The little girl was adorable and spoke as sweetly as a nightingale singing.

Amelia watched her daughter’s animated gestures, her face beaming with smiles.

Talking about making friends, she recalled the morning’s events, "Did that Aunt Snow Fitch come to see you?"

"Yeah! And the little brother came with her."

Amelia inquired subtly, "Do you like the little brother?"

Hope swallowed a mouthful of rice and nodded vigorously, "I really like him!"

"What if you could live with the little brother... like see him every day, eat together, and play? Would you like that?"

Hope’s eyes widened, "Yes! Can I? Is the little brother going to my house, or am I going to his house?"

Before Amelia could answer, a man’s dark and displeased voice came from behind, "Are you trying to steal my daughter away again?"

The woman jumped with a start, turning to face the tall and imposing man. Her complexion tightened for a moment before she rolled her eyes and diverted her gaze, "Mr. Hart, don’t you know it’s rude to eavesdrop on others?"

"And you think stealing someone else’s daughter is honorable?"

"What do you mean by stealing? I am originally—" Amelia almost let the truth slip, but she managed to catch herself just in time.

She pursed her lips trying to hold back, stood up, putting down the spoon, and said calmly, "It’s good that you’re here, I have something to discuss with you."

Christopher Hart’s thin lips parted as he walked towards the couch, "I know what you’re going to say. No need to talk."

"!!!"

Amelia was furious, she walked over, stood across the coffee table facing him, and lowered her voice, "Lily Garcia already came to threaten me, saying Hope is about to call her mom! Can’t you give me this one favor for old times’ sake? You and she can still have more kids, but if Hope stays with me, I’ll give her all my love!"
