Chapter 29: The Thrilling Reencounter at the Amusement Park

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Thrilling Reencounter at the Amusement Park

Amelia Garcia was taken aback upon hearing this and instinctively looked at her younger brother, "Ethan, are you feeling unwell too?"

Her brother murmured under his breath, "With the way he eats, growing strong as an ox, how could he fall ill."

"So what you’re saying is..."

"I was just asking because of something I read in a book."

But in reality, Noah wasn’t asking just for the sake of it.

Last night, he had been thinking about his sister’s illness and was really worried.

If it’s true that twins feel each other’s sickness instinctively, then if they fell ill together, they should also recover together, right?

He was feeling much better today, so his sister should be bouncing around and back to normal now, shouldn’t she?

The little guy was lost in his thoughts, his brow slightly furrowed.

Amelia looked at her eldest son and couldn’t help but feel he was hiding something.

This child had always been mature and thoughtful since a young age, enigmatic, and neither force nor persuasion would get him to do or say anything he didn’t want to.

In this, he truly took after that man.

Thinking of that face, Amelia watched her son’s furrowed brow and silently marveled at the strength of genetics.

Even though they had never met or lived together, his facial features were increasingly resembling Christopher Hart.

She wondered whether she could keep the existence of the two brothers a secret forever...

------------

A few days later, Hope Hart recovered from her illness.

But her yearning for her mother only grew stronger.

Christopher Hart had been tied up with a multi-billion dollar project these past few days and couldn’t stay with his daughter all the time.

With the little girl causing a ruckus in the office, he had no choice but to let Aunt Harper and Fuller take her out to play first, and he’d join them once he finished his work.

In the children’s park, Hope sat in the little sightseeing train, her little head bowed as she stared at the photo in her hands, her eyes brimming with longing.

Having mom around felt so good.

She could listen to her tell stories, play princess, and snuggle securely in her arms to sleep.

How wonderful it would be to have such happiness every day!

Sadly, as soon as she got well, mom disappeared.

She had asked dad to take her to look for her, but for some reason, he stubbornly refused, saying that lady was not her mom.

Regardless of whether she was or not, in her heart—that was her mom!

Snow Fitch had bought tickets for the children’s park for her and the brothers. As soon as they passed the security check, the two boys ran off.

"Don’t worry! I know what I’m doing. Focus on your business, and leave your sons to me! I guarantee I’ll return them to you safe and sound."

Snow quickly made this boastful promise over the phone to Amelia, then hung up and hurried after the rambunctious kids.

Fortunately, the nanny was also there. With one-on-one care, it wasn’t too hard.

"Aunt Snow, I want to ride that one!" Ethan pointed to the parachute floating in the air and called back.

Snow looked up, shielding her eyes from the sun with one hand, and asked doubtfully, "You dare?"

"You don’t?"

"Joke! There isn’t a ride here your godmother’s afraid of!"

"Then let’s go!"

Ethan pulled Snow to the queue, and all she had time to do was hastily tell the nanny to keep a close eye on the elder brother before she was dragged away.

"Aunt Snow, why haven’t you come to play with us for such a long time?"

"Ugh... I’ve been busy!"

The truth was, she feared Christopher had people tailing them, so she dared not come.

But after days of meticulous observation and seeing no suspicious people following them, and since Christopher had already approached Amelia directly—she felt it should be safe now.

But sometimes fate loves to throw unexpected curveballs...

"Hmph! I thought you and my mom were like plastic sisters, no longer friends."

"Childish nonsense! Your mommy and I are like steel sisters!"

"Hurry up, hurry up, it’s our turn, let’s go!"

Excited, the two of them rushed in.

Although Noah, the older brother, appeared mature and daring, he was actually afraid of heights.

He only dared to watch those thrilling and challenging rides from a distance.

After wandering around the amusement park for a while, he found a leisurely sightseeing train, waved, and then boarded it.

The nanny sat beside him, reporting their location to Snow Fitch at all times.

After about half the park had been toured, the little train stopped again, some getting on and some getting off.

He was too lazy to move, so he decided to go for another round.

However, just as the train started, he suddenly stood up, his eyes fixated on a spot.

Before the nanny could stop him, the little guy had undone the safety lock, and before the staff could react, he had already jumped off the little train and sprinted toward a spot.

But as he was running, he suddenly stopped, then flashed behind a doll for cover.

Aunt Harper caught up to him and grabbed him, "Noah, you can’t run off like that, what if you get lost? How would I explain to your mother?"

"Auntie, don’t worry, I won’t get lost. I just saw a friend and wanted to go play with her."

Noah stared at the pretty, sweet figure until he was sure he hadn’t mistaken the person, then his handsome little face broke into a smile.

It was indeed his sister!

Too bad there was a butler and a bodyguard beside her.

How could he approach her without being discovered?

As he pondered hard, a group of workers dressed as dolls suddenly appeared before him, and seizing the opportunity, he slipped into the doll performance troupe.

This group of doll performers was there to interact and play games with the children.

As soon as they appeared, they immediately attracted a crowd of children who stopped to watch.

The staff worked hard to create a lively atmosphere, and in no time, quite a few children joined in the games, playfully interacting with the doll performers.

Noah was dressed in a Pink Duckling costume, his large eyes peering through the eye holes at the crowd outside, heading straight for the target when he spotted her, wagging his fat and perky duck butt as he bounced toward the lovely little girl.

Miss Hope stood by, clapping and cheering, curious when a pink duckling approached, she reached out to touch it.

Noah took the opportunity to grab her hand, signaling her to join in the game.

Aunt Harper was worried, "Miss Hope, we should just watch from here, we need to go play elsewhere later."

The Pink Duckling cocked its head and acted cute, holding the girl’s hand with its fuzzy gloves, continuing to lead her further in.

"Aunt Harper, the duck is so cute, I want to play..." Hope was completely charmed, hardly listening to the adult’s advice.

"Oh, Miss Hope, Hope..."

Just as Aunt Harper was about to pull her back, her phone rang; seeing it was from the boss, she dared not delay and quickly answered the call.

The Pink Duckling led the little girl to the center of the game circle, where everyone hopped and jumped jovially.

Hope was oblivious to everything, simply giggling away.

It wasn’t until the Pink Duckling took off its head that she saw the head revealed before her and then the face, her eyes lighting up with surprise!

"Big brother! How is it you?"

"Shh..." Noah quickly signaled her to be quiet and asked with a smile, "Sis, are you feeling better from being sick?"

"Yes, I’m better!" The little girl nodded her head like she was pounding garlic, taking his duck headpiece and putting it on, happily swinging her head from side to side, "Hehe, so much fun!"

"By the way, big brother, are you better from being sick?"

"I’m better too!"

Hope, wearing the duck head and unable to see her face, but her voice conveyed a touch of disappointment, "Actually... I wish I didn’t get better so soon..."

"Why? Being sick is terrible."

"But when I was sick, I got to see mommy! She fed me and slept with me..."

Noah was surprised, "Mother? I thought you didn’t have a mother?"

"I didn’t before, but now she’s back!"

As Hope mentioned her mother, she suddenly remembered something, took off the headpiece to give back to Noah, and bent down to fish something out of her pocket.

"Big brother, I’m not lying, my mommy is really pretty! She’s back!"

Hope took out a photo she had always carried with her to show Noah, then furrowed her brows in confusion.

"But, she can’t be with me every day... Sigh—"

Noah looked at the photograph, his handsome little face freezing in astonishment.
