Chapter 188 Grandma Finds Her Grandson
Chapter 188: Chapter 188 Grandma Finds Her Grandson
Amelia Garcia bitterly smiled, "What’s there to discuss? His intentions are clear—he wants a reunion, and he doesn’t want his son to be left out in the cold. But I have no such plans, let alone now with Hope being so resistant to her brothers. It might not be a good idea for them to live together."
Snow Fitch nodded, "Indeed, it’s a tough situation. But the commotion you guys made at the airport yesterday was too big. Even though the online news has been dealt with, surely many people still saw it—the Hart Family must know by now."
Amelia Garcia looked at her, her eyes filled with increasing worry.
"Just think about it. If your former mother-in-law finds out that in addition to Hope, you secretly took the two sons you had with her and hid them for all these years—ha, just think about the consequences."
Amelia had thought of this very point last night.
They would definitely insist it was she who abandoned her daughter in preference for her sons, hence why she took the sons and ran away.
They might even suspect that she intentionally kept the sons by her side as bargaining chips, thinking that someday she could return to the Hart Family and carry on being the young madam, buoyed by her motherly status.
So what she needed to guard against now was not only Christopher Hart, but also Emma Carter and the others.
"No... no," she thought, shaking her head, "I can’t let them see Noah or Ethan; they might just forcibly take the two brothers away."
"Mom, who’s going to forcibly take us away?" A voice came from behind. Startled, Amelia turned to see it was her older son and immediately went over.
"Noah, you’re awake." She walked over and smiled, taking her son by the hand.
"Yeah, I went to bed late last night, so I got up late."
"It’s okay, kids need to get plenty of sleep to grow."
"Mom, is little sister still mad at us?" The sensible little guy was always mindful of this.
The smile on Amelia’s face stiffened slightly. Knowing her son was smart and couldn’t be fooled, she had to tell the truth: "Well... she still is a bit, but mom believes she will accept you guys very soon."
"Ah, it’s all my fault..."
"Silly boy, it’s not your fault. Your sister grew up without a mother and lacks a sense of security. She thought you came to compete with her for mom’s affection, that’s why she couldn’t accept it at first. But you are siblings, you share blood ties, so she will naturally feel close to you. Sooner or later, she’ll accept you, don’t worry."
Amelia comforted him time and again until Noah finally relaxed a bit.
The young one turned around to wash up. Watching the small figure, Snow Fitch sighed with envy, "How did you raise such a considerate and sensible son? You’ve done a great job."
But Amelia said, "I wish he wasn’t this obedient and sensible."
Because the more obedient and sensible a child is, the more they take on in their heart.
Yet he was just a child, innocent and young, not meant to bear the right and wrong of the adult world.
Ethan knew his mom had come and quickly got up.
Feeling guilty, Amelia unusually helped the two brothers with excellent self-care abilities to dress and wash up today.
Sister Jones had prepared breakfast—or rather, it was close to lunchtime, and the children were already hungry. They hurriedly climbed into their chairs and started eating with big bites.
Amelia also joined her sons for the meal.
However, before they had finished, her phone rang.
Snow Fitch glanced at her, "Are they hurrying you up now? Are they worried you might run away or something?"
Amelia answered the call: "Hello..."
"It’s the man’s voice. "When are you coming back?" Hope is asking."
"I’ll come back after finishing the meal with the kids."
Christopher Hart, upon hearing this, raised his eyebrows slightly: "They’re with you? Let them talk on the phone."
He missed his sons. If he couldn’t see them, listening to their voices was the next best thing.
Amelia looked at Noah and Ethan, "That man wants to talk to you guys."
Noah didn’t hesitate, "I have nothing to say to him."
His words weren’t loud, yet Mr. Hart heard them distinctly and momentarily...
Amelia didn’t want to argue, so she just said: "I’ll be back soon, bye."
Without waiting for the man to respond, she hung up.
Snow Fitch seemed almost gleeful, "Mr. Hart could never have dreamed that the biggest trip of his life would come from his own son."
Amelia: "..."
Her daughter kept urging her on, so with reluctance and no time to linger after the meal, she had to awkwardly tell her best friend, "They... might need to stay at your place for a couple more days."
Snow was easygoing about it, "No worries at all! It just means Sister Jones has to sleep on the sofa, which is a bit of a shame, but I get to come back to ready meals, and I saved on a cleaner—it’s not a loss to me."
Despite saying this, Amelia knew her best friend was kind, and she truly appreciated this good friend of hers.
After a hug with her children and several admonishments, Amelia then turned to leave.
What she didn’t know was that just as her car was leaving her best friend’s neighborhood, the Hart Family’s vehicle drove in right behind her.
Seeing the familiar luxury car, Emma Carter’s eyes reddened with anger, "So vain! If she truly had no designs on Christopher, why does she always choose to drive his most expensive car?"
George Hart snorted coldly, "It’s because your son is indulging her!"
"Isn’t that your son too? He takes your name, look at what he’s turned into!"
George Hart: "..."
After seeing off her friend, Snow was just about to take Noah and Ethan to the study to play games or read when the doorbell rang.
She was slightly puzzled—who could be looking for her on the weekend?
Sister Jones, cleaning up in the kitchen, came out upon hearing the doorbell and looked towards her.
Snow nodded, "Go see who it is."
"Oh," Sister Jones replied, wiping her hands and going to open the door.
In front of her stood a middle-aged couple with an air of wealth and distinction.
Sister Jones froze, "Who are you...?"
Emma Carter spoke up, "Hello, is this Snow Fitch’s home?"
"Yes..."
"Then it’s the right place." Emma Carter responded and stepped in.
Sister Jones hurried to block the way, "Who are you? Miss Fitch, there are people looking for you!"
Snow came out upon hearing voices, and when she saw who forcibly entered the house, she was instantly shocked and petrified!
This... this was from the Hart family...
Before she could react, Noah walked out from behind, "Aunt Snow Fitch, about the book we were reading last night—"
"Child!" Emma saw Noah, reminiscent of her own son at a young age, and she quickly stepped forward excitedly.
Snow swiftly shielded Noah and commanded, "Sister Jones, please ask them to leave!"
Sister Jones realized what was happening and blocked the way, "Madam, please leave, you are not welcome here."
George Hart, recognizing Noah as his own blood, pushed Sister Jones aside and said sternly, "Snow Fitch, this is a matter for our Hart Family and has nothing to do with you, an outsider. Hand over the child to us!"
Thinking of her disadvantage, Snow immediately pushed Noah back into the house, "Go, lock the room door from inside!"
Noah reacted swiftly, turned, and retreated to the study, shutting the door.
Emma Carter tried to follow, but Snow stepped in her way, "Aunt, this is my home and your intrusion is illegal. I will call the police if you don’t leave now!"
Snow shooed them away without politeness and quickly dialed a number.
Calling Amelia Garcia.
