Chapter 202: Chapter 202 “Deep Sea Messenger”_1 Chapter 202: Chapter 202 “Deep Sea Messenger”_1 Buzz!

The roaring of the invisible engine exploded beside Colin’s ear. Everything seemed to slightly lose color, being dragged into some sort of unseen field, falling into an apparently eternal stasis and solidification.

“That was close.”

Colin’s eyelids twitched as he saw the solid steel-reinforced concrete wall bulge slightly outward.

The tip of a harpoon, glittering with a heart-palpitating, cold sheen, was about to breach the surface like a bamboo shoot ready to emerge.

That harpoon’s tip was directly aimed at the position of his heart…

He was only half a second away from possibly being impaled by this massive harpoon.

But luckily, his “Deadly Insight” once again came in very handy.

As the thought flashed through his mind, Colin’s hands did not slow down in the least, and he used another card, “Force – Repulsive Force.”

With the power of this card, he repelled the people who had been in the direct line of fire and quickly retreated to a comparatively safer position.

“5 seconds is still too short to do much, need to repair it…”

Colin had just hurriedly completed these actions when the sound of a clock’s second hand ticking rapidly rang out beside his ear.

At the same time, several armed personnel, along with Xia Liufang, Hu Zheng, and Wang Hu, found themselves inexplicably flying into mid-air, each wearing a face of shock and uncertainty.

They had no idea what had suddenly happened.

However, it was at that moment that, with a thunderous boom,

A gigantic tri-tipped harpoon broke through the wall with a terrifying force, piercing straight through several walls at the base of the building before finally lodging in a load-bearing wall.

The dreadful noise and the resultant tremors made the entire building shake incessantly.

“Fuck, what kind of monster…”

Colin caught a glimpse out of the corner of his eye of the harpoon in the dust, still quivering. He saw that it was thicker than his thigh and estimated it to be around five meters long, with lots of rust, barnacles, and similar encrustations on it.

But he had no time to think any further, as he suddenly heard a terrible commotion outside. It seemed like some colossal creature had charged over, which, if he was not mistaken, should be the owner of that harpoon.

“You guys hurry and escape… be careful!” Xia Liufang was about to use her trump card, but suddenly saw a monstrous creature with an ugly, massive body, similar to a fish, bursting forth.

Its upper body somewhat resembled those of the Fishmen, but it was more ferocious, and just its upper body alone was two to three meters tall. Unlike other Fishmen, it lacked a bipedal lower body and instead was dragging a bloated, fat tail covered in scales, reminiscent of an eel or snake, as it surged into the building.

At that moment, this terrifying deep-sea creature charged in, and whether intentionally or not, headed straight for Colin, swinging its giant arm, covered in dark blue, nearly grey scales, viciously towards Colin.

“Why me again…”

Colin ran off to one side. If the first harpoon aimed directly at him was a coincidence, then this time it was definitely no stroke of luck!

This monster was coming for him!

Colin could even sense in the creature’s dead fish eyes, which were larger than his own head, a terrifying hatred as profound as avenging the death of one’s father.

Even as Xia Liufang launched an attack at it, it did not respond, still focusing solely on Colin.

In his contemplation, Colin narrowly avoided another attack. Just as he was about to grip the Revolver of the Contrarian to engage in direct combat, he suddenly saw an armed person lying on the ground, not knowing when he had fallen. His helmet was dented in, apparently having been hit in the head by splattered stones from a harpoon attack, and he was now as dead as one could be.

Seeing this corpse, Colin took a silent moment to mourn. Though the thought was somewhat hellish, he realized that with the addition of those Fishmen corpses, there were now enough materials on the scene for a sacrifice.

“Get out of the way quickly!” Xia Liufang’s anxious voice came again as she saw Colin standing still.

She swung her energy longsword, chopping down on the creature, but this time the blade that easily sliced through ordinary Fishmen could only pierce its scales before it could go no further.

“Hiss!!!”

The giant Fishman emitted a serpent-like scream, blowing Xia Liufang away, then continued to charge towards Colin with extreme speed. Sounds of electricity crackling appeared on its body, seemingly intending to use certain organs to unleash a powerful current, ensuring an unavoidable attack.

“You really hate me, don’t you…”

Colin stood still, looking as if he were frozen in fear to the others.

At that moment, watching the loathing-filled monster, reminiscent of a dump truck wrapped in thunder and lightning, charging toward him, a blur of icy blue shadow flew beside him. The frigid air rolled forward, causing the merman-serpent creature’s movements to pause momentarily…

But the pause was brief, and with a rushing sound, it erupted from its body, instantly dispelling all the chill.

Colin heard “Yukionna” let out a miserable shriek as she was electrocuted and flung away. “Yukionna” wasn’t very strong unless she lost control and her humanity was overtaken by instinct, so he didn’t expect her to hold out for long. His hand touched another card—

“Fusion Card: Smiling Mountain of Corpses”!

In an instant, all the corpses around him—friend and foe alike—melted away rapidly. They then gathered at an extreme speed on the body of the armed person lying not far from Colin.

“┗|`O′|┛Ao~~”

A one-ton heavy, gigantic black flesh orb with the speed of lightning struck the Fishman creature. Two equally thick arms clung to its head, ignoring the crackling electricity, then opened its own mouth wide, unleashing a “Soul Scream” up close.

The merman-serpent creature’s brain vibrated before it quickly regained its senses and began to furiously tear at the smiling face on the black lump of flesh.

In the contest of strength, it easily gained the upper hand.

However, this time, perhaps due to the sufficiently high-quality sacrifice used for the summoning, Colin saw its body rapidly writhing and then splitting into a second equally massive flesh orb, clawing back some of the disadvantage.

Suddenly, two vast beings of flesh collided with passion, grappling desperately with each other…

It was at this point that Colin pulled a bone spur filled with black cracks from the “Storage Room”, planning to hand it to “Yukionna” for a stealth attack, but just as he grasped the bone spur, he abruptly felt an extremely terrifying gaze sweeping over him.

“What?!”

Colin’s scalp tingled, intending to trace the gaze to its source, but found that the sensation had vanished without a trace.

“Ao!!!” Corpse Mountain let out a wail as one of its arms was bitten off by the giant Fish head. Seeing the two flesh orbs of “Smiling Mountain of Corpses” steadily losing the struggle, he couldn’t be distracted with that and handed the bone spur to a nearly invisible “Yukionna”, asking her to find a chance for a secret stab.

While he made these arrangements, the others weren’t watching this scene but were instead staring in shock at the black flesh orb creature.
