There was another resounding slap.

The gang was stunned. What was going on?

Blondie, confused and covering his face with both hands, said, "Big Brother, I..."

He hadn’t finished speaking.

"Slap!"

Another loud slap echoed.

Blondie, with his face covered, was bewildered. What was happening? Unable to beat others, taking it out on him?

Scar, lying on the ground, trembling and gritting his teeth, said, "You blind dog! Do you know who you’ve provoked? You’re going to get us all killed!"

The subordinates were terrified, while Blondie wanted to explain, feeling wronged.

Who are they? These are just country bumpkins and little punks. How could they be someone important?

Peng Hu glanced at the scar-faced man on the ground, a fleeting hint of murderous intent in his eyes. Without looking at Scar again, he walked up to Chen Dashan with a smile and cupped his fists. "Brother Chen, we haven’t seen each other in a few days. You’re looking more handsome!"

Peng Hu sported slicked-back hair, shiny and smooth. He cared a lot about his looks and had a great impression of the handsome young man since their first meeting.

Seeing Chen Dashan smile, Peng Hu continued to ask, "These bastards didn’t hurt you, did they?"

Scar, lying on the ground, felt a chill run through his body as he heard this. He was starting to panic.

Blondie’s heart trembled. But thinking nothing more sinister, before he could recall, Scar, lying on the ground, crawled on his knees towards Chen Dashan.

Blondie’s eyes widened in disbelief.

The rest of the gang was also shocked, not knowing what to do.

"Big... Big..."

Blondie had just started to speak when he heard Scar pleading, "Mr. Peng, I was blind, offended your guest. Please spare my life. I will certainly reform."

Scar was sniffing and crying. Peng Hu was ruthless; if he displeased him, survival was impossible.

"Scram!"

Peng Hu kicked Scar in the face, sending him tumbling to the ground. His face was swollen, nose bleeding, but ignoring the pain, Scar continued to apologize.

The gang was terrified, kneeling and begging for mercy.

Blondie was already scared stiff, staring at the ground, not daring to look at Chen Dashan.

Jiang Rou stood proudly beside Chen Dashan, chin up like a proud peacock. She happily leaned closer to Chen Dashan for a sense of security.

"Forget the punishment,"

Chen Dashan spoke, causing Scar to feel relieved. Just as he was about to kneel and thank Chen Dashan, he heard Chen Dashan say, "Since it was a bet, let’s honor it. You said if I lost, I’d have to leave my hands and feet. If you lost, you’d kneel and apologize and never show your face to me again."

Scar stole a glance at Peng Hu, who was glaring at him.

I happen to be free today and would like to invite you and Miss Jiang to the Red Leaf Resort. There’s a natural hot spring there, which is said to be good for health."

Chen Dashan nodded.

With just one call, Peng Hu came to support him. He couldn’t be ungrateful.

"Red Leaf Resort?"

Jiang Rou’s eyes widened. "I know Red Leaf Resort. It’s the largest entertainment center in Longshan Town. When it opened, they even invited celebrities to sing."

"I want to go too! I want to go!"

She didn’t want to miss any chance to be with Chen Dashan.

Chen Dashan, his head full of black lines, felt like he was taking care of a child with Jiang Rou. Peng Hu surely had serious matters to discuss, so he said, "I’ll take you home first."
