Jiang Rou clenched her little fists in protest.

This was the only chance to get close to Chen Dashan right now, and she refused to give it up.

Peng Hu watched the interaction between the two and tactfully lagged a few steps behind, knowing if it weren’t for the urgency, he wouldn’t be pestering Chen Dashan like this.

Thinking about the troublesome matter, Peng Hu pondered for a moment before calling out to their retreating backs, "Brother Chen, how about this? You take Miss Jiang home first, and I’ll wait for you at Red Leaf Resort?"

"Sure!"

Chen Dashan had already guessed that Peng Hu was going to ask him for a favor.

Seeing his sleazy look, Chen Dashan couldn’t help but smile wryly.

Half an hour later, Chen Dashan had dropped Jiang Rou off at her place and was driving alone to Red Leaf Resort.

Red Leaf Resort was the only high-end leisure club in Longshan Town; those who entered were either prominent figures from Longshan Town or wealthy tourists staying for a few days.

The resort covered a vast area, nestled against the mountains and beside the water.

Even the road leading to the resort had been constructed into a brand-new asphalt road, with specially assigned personnel to maintain it, planting many ornamental trees and flowers along the way. This place was worlds apart from the impoverished Longshan Town.

The air was fresh, and the scenery was beautiful.

Chen Dashan had not even parked when he saw that the resort entrance was already packed with black-suited security guards and qipao-clad hostesses lined up to welcome guests.

"Are you Boss Chen?"

As soon as he parked the van, a petite beauty with an explosive figure came up to ask.

Chen Dashan’s gaze landed on her heaving chest as he said, "Take me to Peng Hu."

"Yes!"

With utmost respect, the young lady, swinging her hips, led Chen Dashan into Red Leaf Resort on her high-heeled shoes.

Logically, with the hot weather, the resort’s business should be booming at this time. Built halfway up the mountain and surrounded by lakes, it was an excellent place for avoiding the heat and recuperating.

But from the moment he entered, Chen Dashan noticed there were more staff members than guests in Red Leaf Villa.

The business was quiet.

Peng Hu asking him to come over was probably not business-related; the chances were higher that it had to do with medical treatment.

After walking for a minute or two, Chen Dashan saw Peng Hu from a distance, waiting for him by a wooden bridge. He turned to the waitress beside him and said, "What are you standing around for?"

"Haven’t you seen that our honored guest has arrived? Hurry up and brew some tea. Oh, and take out my treasured pre-rain Longjing tea for Mr. Chen to taste."

As soon as Peng Hu finished speaking and turned to Chen Dashan, he frowned and said, "Brother Chen, I won’t lie to you, I really am in trouble!"

Peng Hu looked distressed.

Once Chen Dashan was seated and the tea was served, Peng Hu was so restless that he motioned for the waitresses to leave with a wave of his hand.

Seeing the door close and the room left with only the two of them, Peng Hu pulled his chair up close to Chen Dashan and suddenly blurted out, "Brother Chen, save me!"

Chen Dashan was startled.

Peng Hu continued, "Brother Chen, you’ve seen it yourself, the business at Red Leaf Resort is getting worse day by day, and it’s not just the resort—it’s the same with my other ventures these days."

"Wasn’t my hand broken by someone not long ago?"

Peng Hu’s eyes were cold and detached. Seeing Chen Dashan staring at him, his face flushed with embarrassment, feeling humiliated. Chen Dashan nodded; he now understood the whole story.

Then he asked, "When is the Lei Tai set?"

Hearing Chen Dashan ask this, Peng Hu was overjoyed, his whole person utterly excited as he said, "In two days, Brother Chen, does that mean you agree?"

"How could I not know of your righteousness, Brother? I, I toast you with tea in place of wine!"

Having said that, Peng Hu held up his tea cup and drained it in one gulp.

Chen Dashan smiled and simply sipped at the tea.
