Chapter 89: Chapter - 89 Racing Rotors

Bennhayzin’s Point Of View

"What did he need you for, Bennhayzin?" Zachariah asked when I walked back into the room.

"Oh...? He wanted to know about the facility in Delgaide... I promised him it would stay dead..." I shrugged.

"What are we going to do Zachariah? They have the details of his creation." Naithynn said.

"The only thing we need to do is make a decision. Will we conform in the way that Tristan asked us to, or continue down the path of ignorance? As someone who knew Charles personally, I will do what I can... the problem will be... his wife..." Zachariah said.

"Yeah... there’s no way that this information would stay out of her hands if it went public inside the facilities..." Lyukhe replied.

"Well I, for one, do not fear that loathsome bitch. And when I construct my facility I will not need her funding to do it!" Dyahlettah said firmly.

I couldn’t be bothered by their discussion. None of this had anything to do with me anymore. I had passed on all the information to Tristan and Ferdinand, and I wouldn’t be reviving the facility in Delgaide ever again. It was all so ridiculously tedious, and if I was being honest I would probably kill Danhiel if we ever met again.

"Well, my facility is privately owned as well... I haven’t used a single Cora for its build or function. I will do what I can to make sure I don’t let him down..." Aidehynn said.

His brothers gave him a glare but didn’t say anything more. I found it curious that he had a facility this whole time and his brothers knew nothing about it.

"Well, I’m going to make sure he gets back to Danhiel. I don’t give a shit about some potential information he might have. If he did have it, there’s no way they would have let him put such a large target on his back. How gullible do they think we are?!" Rahzden yelled.

"You are the only one who believes he is lying. With your logic, why would they put such a large target on his back if he didn’t have it? Are you perhaps just jealous that even if you do reform your facility, they would never give you that information?" I chuckled.

"What do you know, you lazy bastard!? We wouldn’t even be in this mess if you would have just done your job!" He yelled angrily.

"Did you ever stop to think that maybe I let him go? Maybe I didn’t agree with the facility abusing a young boy. Maybe I was feeling a bit spiteful, knowing they killed his mother and let her die in his arms out of petty maliciousness. Maybe Daize Omega Zine had it coming after breaking protocol. I’m not understanding why you want to be in Danhiel’s good graces so bad... he’s powerless and utterly useless without impregnating Tristan. Could it be he promised you something extravagant? A piece of the Omega, perhaps? Hahaha! How naive..." I laughed.

"You don’t know what you’re talking about! You may be a lazy bastard, but there’s no way you let him escape! What purpose would that serve?"

"That doesn’t concern you. I have my reasons, it’s not my fault you’re too ignorant to figure it out. I owe it to him and his mother, and he’s clearly happy. Did you all gloss over the fact that he is mated to 4 Dominant Alphas. They were also willing to end your life in the blink if an eye. I have no doubt that if Tristan didn’t speak up, you’d be a stain on that chair right now." I shrugged.

"Yeah, everything he said seems much more rational when you factor in his genome. Even after taking 4 mates, his pheromones still affect other Alphas. Not only that, but his constant reliance on suppressants and building up a tolerance for them would be financially devastating." Gaibe added.

"I will pull out all the stops to get top geneticists to research whatever information he gives us. Killing over 100 Omegas would defeat the purpose." Dyahlettah sighed.

"Yes, also letting the children just be children is a double edged sword... I get not wanting them to grow up too fast, but how can we justify adding Omegas to our Duhtchies that aren’t necessarily conducive to it?" Naithynn asked.

"Pretty sure that’s what he meant when he said education in all things. This isn’t going to be some overnight fix to our problems, but Maybelline was an Omega who loved to tinker with DNA. One day she had an epiphany and two years later Tristan was born. It should also be mentioned that after her murder, the creation of Omegas was on the decline. Proving that Omegas can be outstanding in the things they want to do." I said.

"What are you getting at Bennhayzin?" Waihlynn asked.

"What I’m saying is, if the facilities nurture talents and just let them grow into what they love, then everything will happen naturally. Find the scientific way to alter their genome to just affect what they give birth to. Leave everything else alone. Tristan will suffer the rest of his life, and honestly it was one of Maybelline’s biggest regrets. However, we can be better, we have to be better. Treat everything like it’s personal." I said.

Just then, Jaymehsyn walked into the room at a brisk pace and leaned in to whisper into Zachariah’s ear.

"HE WHAT!?" Zachariah yelled.

"That’s what I’ve picked up so far... I’m unsure what is happening currently..." Jaymehsyn replied.

"This meeting is adjourned. If you are willing, we can pick it up tomorrow at noon. Men, detain Rahzden and his men. Jaymehsyn, Bennhayzin, and Gaibe... come with me." Zachariah said.

We all stood up and began to file out, however as Gaibe and I reached his office, the news that Zachariah had just spoken of sent me reeling.

’Damn it... don’t fail me boys...’

Sylvester’s Point Of View

"Meyhymn, are you sure you’ll be able to fly? You seem a bit..."

"I’m fine, Payhne. Let’s get going." Meyhymn replied.

He really did look to be on the verge of going catatonic. We all climbed into the helicopter, Ferdinand handed Tristan to me before he climbed in as well. Once Cole, Bellamy, and I were situated in the far back end of the helicopter, Ferdinand began to pass out the headsets.

Meyhymn began take off in earnest, he didn’t waste a single moment in is ascent nor his speed. He had a firm grip on the cyclic sticks. We had been in the air for no more than 45 minutes before a voice came over our frequency channel.

— Triiistan... you should know I have your brother and sister... And wouldn’t you know it that useless Ezekihel was still alive as well... if you surrender yourself now, no harm will come to them... If you refuse however.... I will shoot you out of the sky!

It was definitely Danhiel’s voice, I just didn’t trust anything he said. There was no way he went to the mansion and then came for us. Tristan began to cry softly, as much as I wanted to tell him not to believe it, I couldn’t... my stomach had been in knots ever since I left that meeting.

I took out my phone and began to call Santiago, but it just went to voicemail. Then I called Justus, Blaihre, Jerhemy, Jasper, Raihne, and Rohlander. Not a single person answered. Then I opened the CCTV app on my phone and gasped loudly in horror.

Nearly all the cameras were blacked out or unavailable. The cameras that could still be used showed the house entirely engulfed in flames. Bellamy looked at his phone as well, then he called his mother, who also didn’t answer.

Ferdinand let out a curse before attempting to contact someone in the house. No one was having any luck.

"Payhne, I need you to get my phone out of my breast pocket..." Meyhymn said slowly.

Payhne did as requested and held out Meyhymn’s phone. Then Meyhymn began to contemplate something.

"Unlock it. The code is 2449. Once you do, locate the blue app icon called find me." He instructed, as he careened through the sky.

— Would you like to speak to your siblings, Tristan? Their freedom for yours. I think it’s a fair trade, if you actually love your siblings. What do you say?

"I found it Meyhymn... what now?" Payhne said, speaking louder than Danhiel’s transmission.

"Just show me the screen..." Meyhymn replied.

Once he was shown the screen, Meyhymn’s pheromones flared extremely hard. Somewhere in between a mix of Sage and Lemongrass. The smell was so ungodly strong that even Tristan flinched before trembling even harder than before.

"I know you’re angry Meyhymn, but your anger is damning for Tristan. Do you want to go into rut right now?" Ferdinand asked.

Meyhymn’s pheromones calmed down, but everyone was pretty shaken. Suddenly, things went from bad to worse, as alarms began to blare in warning of an impending attack. I looked out the window and saw three helicopters surrounding us.

— You have until the count of 5 to land, and come peacefully. I will not hurt your siblings... much... just agree to come to me and I give you my word, Tristan.
