Chapter 200: Chapter – 179 - Backstabbing Treachery

Casteille’s Point Of View

"Sir. We’ve reached capacity at two of our facilities. We are rerouting all other transports to the remaining two facilities... However..."

"Spit it out, Ja’aire... No need to beat around the bush..." I replied with an exasperated sigh.

I already knew what he would say. It was obvious as hell. We hadn’t expected so many citizens to turn in Omegas, or that they’d actually be in our databases. I also knew that the government was terrorizing the Mafia King’s Duhtchies by abducting their Omega citizens off the streets. All of that could only accumulate to one glaring issue.

"Sir... As it stands, we’ll surpass the capacity of all 4 facilities by tomorrow night..." He replied nervously.

"Yes, I know. What do you think the next plausible action should be, in order to solve this problem?" I asked dryly.

"I-I’m not... sure?" He murmured.

’And this is why pawns are useless... They can never think for themselves...’

"Haaah.... Find. A. New. Building. To. House. Them. Idiot." I growled through gritted teeth.

Ja’aire looked up at me with a start. His eyes clearly said that that option had never even crossed his mind.

’Unbelievable... What an idiotic buffoon...’

"Do you understand?" I asked, threateningly.

"Y-Yes, Sir... R-Right away, Sir..." He replied hastily, before stumbling over his feet to escape my glare.

When I inherited this position after Mr. Wyhett’s passing, my department was basically frozen in a state of limbo. Due to the fiasco in Delgaide, the higher up’s wanted to disband the department altogether.

Visiting our remaining facilities too frequently risked unnecessary exposure. Wyhett kept all of his operations for damage control off the record. When it came to the Mafia Kings, we couldn’t act rashly, and we couldn’t risk the remaining facilities under our control to collapse.

Then, just when things started to calm down, Danhiel and Hastings had essentially screwed us over with their rashly fabricated plan, and we lost Lore’rahlye in the process.

To the untrained eye, Lore’rahlye’s facility was just another Omega facility... But to those of us in the know, it had been extremely close to replicating Tristan’s genome.

As a geneticist, I understood their impatience in wanting to study the genuine article... But their impetuous behavior and planning, was mind-numbingly aggravating.

*Knock...Knock...Knock...*

"Come in..." I sighed wearily.

Truthfully I was already burned-out from all the visitors I had already hosted over the past few weeks. I didn’t want to deal with anyone else.

’I’d give anything for a damn vacation right about now...’

"Sir, I have a report for you." Xeenahm said, closing my office door softly.

"What is it, Xee?" I asked, massaging my temples.

"Well... I’m told that Rahzden has created a nearly perfect Omega. The tests can’t be confirmed, since the Omega has not come of age yet... But all of his preliminary tests have recieved exemplary scores." He said, looking both excited and vexed at the same time.

I couldn’t blame him though, Xeenahm was an overseer for our largest facility. He had watched the scientists put in unconscionable hours of overtime, to perfect the infallible genome. After all these years, there was no way he could remain impartial. He was more soldier than scientist, but all winners detested losing, no matter what games they played.

"Who else knows about this?" I asked thoughtfully.

"We can’t be sure, considering that we were able to gather this intel from their system with little effort. Their security and Spyware, were subpar at best..." Xeenahm chuckled sinisterly.

"Well... That’s to be expected, considering that he was banished to the Whastelahnd Duhtchy. However, if he did produce such an Omega... Then that means, he safeguarded the information from Lore’rahlye. That information would be incredibly valuable to us..." I said, pondering our options.

"Indeed. I wonder if we can get him to agree to a meeting with you. We could fabricate a reason, like wanting to fund his facility. Once we are inside his building, all we’ll need to do is get close to any computer available. Then, we can download a copy of everything he’s saved to his system for the last 4 years." Xeenahm suggested.

"Hmm? That’s not a bad idea... It’s risky though, since there’s no way we could fund his facility or contract with him... So we’ll need to devise a plan or excuse to help us back out of the deal. Ooh! What if we got the schematics for the DNA strand, and took the rare Omega, too!?" I said, clapping my hands together.

"Sir... I’m gonna be completely transparent with you about that greedy little plan of yours..." Xeenahm sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, evidently disgruntled.

"Greedy? Seriously?" I asked, perplexed.

"Yes, greedy... You essentially just said that you wanted to take everything from Rahzden... I’m telling you right now, I won’t sacrifice a single one of my men to retrieve that boy. Securing the DNA schematics will be our top priority. If the situation gets too dicey, I will order my men to fall back and retreat." Xeenahm said, a serious glint in his eyes.

"You and your boys are irreplaceable to me, so I will respect that decision.... On one condition..."

"And that is?" He replied, dryly.

"That you at least try, first. Don’t just assume it’s not worth it, or that it’s too much work. I promise to bail you out of any trouble that you run into, and help you guys withdraw." I ordered, grinning confidently.

"That’s a bad habit of yours, Boss..." He chided.

"C’mon, imagine the research the geneticists would be able to do with him here. Its easier to copy genes that have already been created, no?" I said, trying to explain my reasoning.

"In truth, I am not interested in the DNA of the Golden Goose... No, what I desire is the blueprints to his sisters genetic codes." He replied, his eyes gleaming.

"What are you talking about now, Xeenahm?" I asked, perturbed.

"Did you not read the dossiers on the 5 runaway Omegas?" Xeenahm asked, incredulously.

"At the time it didn’t matter. I was tasked with one mission. Everything else was inconsequential." I shrugged.

"Unbelievable..." He sighed.

"Well then Mr. Know-it-all, please enlighten me." I said dryly.

"Haaah... The genetic compound of those 5 runaways was not logged into any database or computer. Dr. Maybelline hid all the relevant data for their creation... What was submitted to the journal entries however, were their unique traits." Xeenahm explained.

"What kind of traits?" I asked, enthralled.

"They physically don’t age, their unique pheromones, their lustful allure when under the effects of a Dominant Alpha’s pheromones, and their unrivaled mating capabilities. They are unlike any other Omegas ever created..." He explained wistfully, a noticeable glint of desire in his eyes.

"What makes their pheromones so unique?" I asked, intrigued beyond reason.

Under normal circumstances, Xeenahm rarely showed his emotions so openly, and I couldn’t recall a single time that I had seen him act so zealously about anything else, like he was doing now. It was quite the peculiar thing to see.

"Well, for instance, the other male Omegas that fled with Tristan were documented as Recessive Omegas. However, their pheromones are just as devastating as a Dominant Omega. The two girls are even more impressive however, surely Mr. Wyhett has gone on one of his craven disquisitions in front of you before, no?" His eyes were practically begging me to say that I remembered.

"That guy became extremely unhinged when discussing those Omegas... Honestly, the glint in his eyes when he got like that, was disgusting..." I shrugged.

I didn’t particularly hate Wyhett, but he had an unhealthy obsession with those young Omegas... It always made me uncomfortable.

"Well, those girls are Dominant Omegas, and their pheromones can actually drive a lesser Alpha to the brink of psychosis, a Beta could never even hope to withstand them. Under the influence of a Dominant Alpha’s pheromones, their bodies went into an artificial heat cycle before they came of age. Their preliminary test results revealed that they had the potential to be more exemplary than Tristan. I’d give anything to see how they’ve developed since then."

He was getting worked up in his explanation, but I couldn’t deny the enticing goal he provided.

"So then, we should find a way to have Rahzden assist us. Leverage his Omega and facility, and use his information to create an infiltration plan. You’d be willing to go after those female Omegas, right?" I asked with a chuckle.

"That’s worth the price of our men... However, we will not act like those idiots before us. We will have to make a solid plan, and multiple contingencies just in case." Xeenahm suggested.

"Agreed. I’ll use the Judicials Branch, and Rahzden as well. They’ll make a sufficient distraction." I said, grinning confidently.

"As you wish..." Xeenahm bowed dutifully.

’Securing those Omegas and replicating their DNA is just the beginning... He’ll have no choice...’
