Chapter 134: Chapter - 134 The Meeting Of The Kings Continues (Part 2)

Zachariah’s Point Of View

"Okay. Now that we are all finally here, let’s start with the most concerning part of this meeting." I said.

Everyone was noticeably tense and I really didn’t want to address the elephant in the room just yet. So I chose a less argumentative point to start at.

"It was decided that if the Kings want to start a new facility, then they would need to sign a pact. Said pact will be signed with a death seal." I began.

"Hold up! That’s where he’s starting?" Bellamy chimed in.

"Wait a moment... A Death Seal? Is it really that serious?" Xavier asked.

"Tristan has made the rules for your facilities to adhere to, if you don’t think you can abide by these simple rules then you should bow out now." I continued, ignoring their outbursts.

I looked up at Jaymehsyn, and he began to pass out the contracts that he had spent the night writing out. I didn’t think the rules were particularly terrible, and I even thought they were reasonable, all things considered. So I was going to be sure to lead by example.

"The rules are as follows:

Rule #1: Age limits

. No testing can be allowed on any Omega before they are 10 years of age. (2nd Gender test not withstanding.)

Rule #2: All Omegas will recieve a full and proper education. Gender and sex education should be properly taught, and information about the facilities and their purpose should be properly explained.

Rule #3: Omegas shouldn’t be used as a payment system. No facility will accept bribes or payments for the use or ownership of Omegas. They are human beings and will be treated as such.

Rule #4: Participating facilities will share their scientific results and findings amongst other participating facilities. (We all make it to the top together or we never get there at all.)

Rule #5: No abuse or mistreatment of Omegas will be tolerated, ever. No matter the reason. If you find that there are problematic Omegas in your facility, contact the proper channels of representatives to look into the situation. We will investigate the incident, personally.

Rule #6: Your facility, your responsibility. The people you allow to work there must be thoroughly vetted. If your staff mistreats the Omegas, consider that as you mistreating them. You must handle these situations swiftly and efficiently. If you allow it to fester due to neglect, and a formal complaint is lodged. You will bear the full responsibility, alongside the accused.

Rule #7: Treat the Omegas in your facility with proper human rights and human decency. No Omega should be treated as an object or a possession. Nurture their growth into people who can benefit this world in a positive and respectable light.

These rules are not impossible nor are they unreasonable, so I have no problem signing this contract." I said, and then signed my own contract.

"You would treat this as a simple contract, but breaking these rules would see your life forfeit my King. This is serious!" Sîvret said, angrily.

"What problems do you have with the rules?" I asked, curiously.

"Rule #6, obviously! Vetting takes time. To do this I would need to check on the wellbeing of the Omegas and scrutinize the employees, daily! That’s far too much work!" He yelled.

"As apposed to producing abused and underdeveloped Omegas who basically end up being no more than livestock? Most of you haven’t seen it yet, but the Omegas from Lore’rahlye will struggle greatly without constant help. They were severely malnourished, and beaten. Some even developed a habit of relying on pain and drugs. All of this happened at a facility where the King was heavily involved, but due to that bastards depravity he allowed fools to walk all over him. I take no issue with these rules either, if it means Omega children will not suffer anymore." Lyukhe said, signing his contract.

"Wait! You’re going to build a facility now, Lyukhe?!" Gaibe asked, nonplussed.

"Yeah, I am. I owe it to them..." Lyukhe sighed.

"To who?" Gaibe asked, confused.

"Enough questions. Are you going to sign? Or are you afraid?" Lyukhe taunted him.

"I don’t know. This is a big deal... I can barely handle the citizens in my Duhtchy, a facility seems a bit much. Maybe I could just start with a shelter of sorts?" Gaibe said, nervously.

"What do you mean?" Tristan asked, looking intrigued.

"Like... I don’t want to deal with scientists and creating more Omegas, but I would like to help the Omegas that we have already. Give them an education, job skills, things of that nature. Aidehynn’s facility didn’t sound so terrible." Gaibe shrugged.

"I agree. That route is also acceptable. There are many Omegas who could benefit from a safe place like that. Honestly, I would prefer it if you didn’t create more Omegas, but I’m not naive enough to assume that would be a favorable decision. However, if thats the route you choose to take, I’ll support it 100%." Tristan readily agreed.

Gaibe nodded and signed his contract as well. Lady Dyahlettah was next to agree.

"I’m told that the facility is up and running right now. We are just waiting for the occupants. We can comfortably house 40 Omegas in our facility. So I will gladly sign. I can help retrieve the Omegas or you just send them my way when you have time." Dyahlettah said, as she signed her contract as well.

"Well I don’t plan on making a facility, and at this point my house is beginning to feel like a homely shelter. So I’ll sign this just in case Tristan has another grand idea, to avoid having to come back to a meeting like this." Ferdinand said, signing his contract.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea... He’s got that look in his eyes..." Sylvester chuckled, as he too signed his contract.

"Haaah... Fiiine. If that’s how it’s going to be, I suppose I’ll sign. But I reserve the right to change my facility into a shelter if the scientists don’t make the cut!" Sîvret grumbled, while signing his.

"It goes without saying that we agree. Even if Naithynn does not." Waihlynn said, signing his.

"If it’s alright with you Tristan. I’ll keep my facility how it is, and as a reverse to Sîvret, I reserve the right to add scientists to my facility at any time to conduct humane research with the information you give us." Aidehynn said, as he signed his contract.

"Xander and Xavier?" I asked.

"Don’t feel pressured to sign it guys. I’m not signing it, since I’m not going to build a facility or shelter. I think I owe it to Maybelline to not be that stupid." Bennhayzin said, pushing the contract to the center of the table.

The twins similarly pushed their contracts to the center of the table.

"I would love to be a part of the change this world clearly needs, but this is all too risky. Please forgive us Tristan..." Xander said.

"Listen, as long as you’re not actively against the change everything is fine. Just change how Omegas are treated in your Duhtchy. How’s that sound?" Tristan asked.

"Yes. We can do that much at least." Xavier replied.

"Alright. So Dyahlettah, Lyukhe, Gaibe, Sîvret, Waihlynn, Aidehynn, and I have made the pledge. We have two months to build or reconstruct our facility. Once you are done, send an inspection request to Ferdinand. They will carry out the necessary inspections. Once they approve of your facility, you will be subjected to bi-monthly inspections by Aidehynn or Dyahlettah. Also if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you will direct them to Aidehynn or Dyahlettah as well." I explained.

"You would put a second hierarchy among us?" Xander asked, confused.

"If that is how you view it then so be it. But they will have facilities of their own to be scrutinized, except they will need to answer to Tristan and Ferdinand. Would you like to volunteer, Xander?" I asked pointedly.

"No... I’m sorry... I spoke without thinking..." Xander mumbled.

"Alright then, is the matter of the new facilities finished? Any one have any questions?" I asked.

"Well... how would we get Omegas if we are just starting from scratch?" Gaibe asked.

"Sîvret’s volunteer method is fine. We also have Omegas from Delgaide and Lore’rahlye to consider... but that can wait until the facilities have been established, no?" I said.

I looked around the room. Most of the men were in agreement. A far cry from the first meeting. I was sure that it had everything to do with how ferociously Ferdinand had plowed through enemy lines yesterday for his mate. Plus the irritated looks Ferdinand, Sylvester, and Bellamy had on, and the death glares they kept giving Rahzden and Naithynn.

I heaved a heavy sigh. Not wanting to bring up the next subject on the docket, but having no choice. I knew if I dragged it out anymore, these boys would fly off the handle. It wasn’t lost on me that Tristan was kissing Bellamy’s cheek to calm him down. I had seen him in action, there was no way I’d risk pissing him off any further.

"Alright then. Punishments for the accused. They will have 10 minutes to state their case and request their own punishment." I said.

As I said that, the room became flooded in pheromones, and Tristan clasped a hand over his nose.

’Well, Fuck... I guess they didn’t like that idea too much...’
