Roman and Julienne's heart desire -
Chapter 27: My sister in-law
Chapter 27: My sister in-law
Lisa called all the skilled maids with two male servants and lectured them, asking them to take care of her grandson well and to not leave him hungry.
And after that, they all got into the car, and Azazel got into his Audi and drove in the front, with the others following from behind.
"Why is his house so far away, ahhh," Azazel said, irritated at sitting in the car for so long.
In the mansion, and inside Roman’s room, Julie was peacefully sleeping under the quilt. Slowly, her eyelashes fluttered, and she opened her eyes.
"Hmm, there is nothing as good as resting," Julie murmured before slowly moving the blanket away from her body and keeping her legs on the ground to touch the cold yet warm marble floor.
Stretching, Julie slowly got up and headed to the toilet to ease herself, which was what woke her up. After doing her business, she walked out of the restroom after washing her face clean.
Looking for something to change into, since she wasn’t comfortable wearing what she had on, she walked to the other door she saw Roman enter earlier after bathing. She tiptoed carefully, trying not to make any noise.
"Hmm, let’s see what we can find here," Julie said as she slowly turned the door knob, as if she was a thief who wouldn’t want to wake up the house owner.
She carefully and gently closed the door, as if it would make a sound.
She walked to the closet and opened it, but all she saw were Roman’s clothes. She started contemplating, "Should I wear his clothes since all mine were left in the other house?"
Julie said to herself, moving her index finger up and down on her jawline as she looked at the Suit and white sleeves.
Inside the closet, there were tailored suits, crisp white shirts, and slim ties in various black, ash and blue black colors,Roman’s closet was filled with designer dress shirts, perfectly pressed and organized by color.
His suits were hung neatly, with labels from high-end fashion brands. The shoes were polished and arranged in a row, with loafers, oxfords, and dress boots.
"Let me take a look, then hope he won’t come here," Julie said and moved closer to look at the clothes, maybe she would find one to her liking. But just as she moved closer, her legs twisted, and she fell down. "Ahh, ouch," Julie sighed from the pain.
Julie was quick to close her mouth, scared that Roman would hear her voice and ask what she was doing in his closet.
Slowly, Julie got up by the help of the closet door, and just as she stood up, she was mesmerized by what was in front of her.
Earlier, when Julie fell down accidentally, she pushed the closet door further open, and now she was standing in front of it, and saw what was inside.
She was blinking. "WOW," Julie exclaimed loudly, looking at the beautiful colors and different kinds of gowns in front of her.
She opened the closet further, and she was greeted by different expensive outfits that made her eyes wide with wonder.
"Are those all mine?" Julie asked, no one in particular, and one by one, she started checking the clothes out, forgetting that Roman may come in.
The gowns were breathtakingly beautiful, with intricate details and exquisite fabrics.
Julie’s eyes widened as she scanned the closet, taking in the array of colors and styles.
There were floor-length evening gowns in rich jewel tones, adorned with delicate beading and embroidery.
Some gowns were strapless, while others had delicate spaghetti straps or intricate lace trim.
The fabrics were luxurious, with silk, satin, and velvet gowns that shimmered in the light.
Julie’s fingers trailed over the fabrics, feeling the softness and texture. She saw gowns with subtle floral patterns, and others with bold, geometric designs.
Some gowns were fitted, hugging the mannequin’s curves, while others flowed elegantly, with layers of tulle or organza.
Julie saw gowns with daring necklines, and others with modest, high collars. The colors ranged from soft pastels to bold, bright hues. fre ewebno(v)e\l.(c)om
As Julie browsed through the gowns, she felt like a kid in a candy store. She couldn’t decide which one to try on first.
Each gown was more beautiful than the last, and she couldn’t wait to see how they would look on her.
After trying several knee-length gowns, Julie got tired yet wasn’t able to finish checking all the gowns. She chose one randomly, a stunning red evening gown, and wore it.
Julie checked herself in the mirror, turning from one side to the other, admiring how beautiful she looked in the gown.
The red gown hugged her curves perfectly, and the color brought out the glow in her skin. Julie felt like a princess, and she loved the way she looked. She twirled around, feeling the fabric flow around her.
With a satisfied smile, Julie took one last look in the mirror before turning to leave the closet. She felt rejuvenated and refreshed, ready to take on the day in her newfound confidence.
"Nice," Julie said, smiling at herself before walking out of the room. However, her smile faltered as she was greeted by Roman’s piercing gaze.
Roman was sitting on the sofa, quietly waiting for her to emerge, and when she did, he looked at her without batting an eye.
Seeing her pale, Roman understood that she was scared by his mere presence, and that didn’t sit well with him.
He sized her up and down before standing up, his movements fluid and confident.
"Follow me," he said, his voice low and commanding, before exiting the room. Julie followed from behind, her heart racing with anticipation.
As they reached the dining room, Julie’s mouth salivated at the sight of the delicious Chinese dishes on the table.
There were steaming plates of Kung Pao chicken, beef in oyster sauce, vegetable lo mein, sweet and sour pork, Szechuan beef, and chow mein lastly a white rice to add with.
The aroma of stir-fried onion and ginger wafted through the air, making her stomach growl with hunger and Roman heard it but didn’t comment not wanting to embarrass the girl.
"Are we celebrating our marriage?" Julie asked, unaware that she had spoken out loud.
And Roman, who had heard her, didn’t respond immediately, instead waiting for her to sit down.
"Yes," Roman replied shortly, his expression unreadable. Julie, who was sitting across from him, didn’t understand what he was talking about, and she was about to ask before it sank in that she had said it out loud earlier.
She closed her eyes in embarrassment, mortified that she had spoken her thoughts aloud.
"Eat up," Roman said, noticing that she hadn’t picked up her chopsticks yet. "Oh yeah," Julie replied, quickly starting to eat.
The food was exquisite, with each bite more flavorful than the last. Julie couldn’t help but savor the delicious flavors, and she glanced up at Roman, who was eating with an unreadable expression.
Some minutes passed in silence, with only the sound of chopsticks clinking against plates breaking the stillness.
Suddenly, the atmosphere was disrupted by the sound of footsteps and a loud voice.
While outside the mansion, Azazel arrived with the maids, and the gates automatically swung open. He sped up to the entrance, exited his car, and tossed the keys to one of the guards.
"Brother!" Azazel exclaimed, running towards the stairs, too excited to see his brother. He didn’t notice Roman sitting in the dining room, engrossed in his meal.
Julie watched Azazel with questioning eyes as he ascended the stairs, still calling out for his brother.
Logically, she assumed the person he was looking for was Roman, who was sitting right in front of her.
’Won’t he say anything since his brother is busy calling him?’ Julie thought, looking at Roman, who was busy cutting a slice of Szechuan beef on his plate.
"I think you’re full, aren’t you?" Roman suddenly said, his voice low and teasing. Julie was quick to dig in, not wanting to appear like she was full.
Roman you are mean, leaving your brother to look for you while you’re listening to him. Julie couldn’t help but think that Roman was being deliberately obtuse.
Meanwhile, Azazel was searching for his brother, his brow furrowed in concern. "Where did he go?" he muttered, checking Roman’s room and finding him nowhere in sight.
As Azazel raised a brow, he caught a whiff of something delicious. "Hmm, what is that smell? It smells so nice," he said, his eyes scanning the area.
His gaze landed on the dining room, and there he saw his brother, sitting with a woman. Azazel’s eyes widened in surprise.
"Oh my, who is she?" Azazel exclaimed, his voice rising in excitement. "My brother sitting with a woman in his house, even dining together... Could it be... OH SHIT!!! MY SISTER-IN-LAW!" Azazel screamed, jumping to conclusions.
Azazel’s sudden outburst made Julie jump, and she turned to Roman, who was watching his brother with an amused expression.
As Azazel descended the stairs in full speed, his eyes locked onto Julie, and his face lit up with excitement. He stopped in his tracks, taking in the scene before him.
Roman, who had been watching his brother’s antics with amusement, finally spoke up. "Azazel, behave yourself," he said, his voice low and warning.
But Azazel was too excited to listen, his mind racing with possibilities.
He took a step forward, his eyes fixed on Julie, who was watching him with a mixture of confusion and embarrassment.
