Chapter 909: Chapter 515: Did This Empty Out the Luck Pool Again?
Sean Knight had made it into the Manor without any hitch. It was safe to assume that either the people inside hadn’t noticed him, or they thought that his solitary infiltration would not make a difference.
Although Lincoln Harrington breathed a sigh of relief, he remained vigilant.
The scope of his sniper rifle constantly surveyed the surroundings, until Sean Knight’s figure disappeared into the solemn building.
He was very clear about the locations of those four points. From where he was, he could clearly observe three of them.
Lincoln Harrington didn’t even consider whether, if there were people inside the buildings, Zhou Yu would pose a threat.
His job was to control the targets on the periphery.
The rest was up to the boss.
Once inside the building, Sean Knight noticed signs of long neglect.
The ground was covered with dust. Spiderwebs hung in every corner.
Near the wall close to the Main Hall, there was even a bird’s nest.
A rat stealthily scrambled out from Inside the Door.
It wasn’t particularly afraid when it saw Sean Knight, just cautious.
After realizing that Sean Knight wasn’t a threat, it continued on its pre-planned journey to another building in search of food.
Seeing several rows of footprints distinct from the thick dust, Sean Knight knew that different people had visited this place.
Sky Eye swept over and confirmed that indeed there was no one inside.
The front gate of the Main Hall was locked, but one window had clearly been tampered with. He went over, took out a small knife from In Space, gently pried it open, climbed inside, and then closed the window behind him.
This was probably where the former Manor master lived. The First Floor was the living room, in a typical European Style Home décor. Furniture made from fine wood, the walls adorned with murals of the nobility.
Aside from the dust lying thick on everything, the furnishings alone reflected the original master’s good taste.
But now, signs of decay were evident everywhere.
Sean Knight gave the place a quick look and went up to the Second Floor. The Second Floor primarily housed bedrooms, and the doors were generally locked. Inside, everything had been tidied, and coverings lay over the beds and furnishings.
Sean Knight briefly glanced around, then continued to the Third Floor.
The Third Floor was a bit more complex, with a Gym, a Study Room, and even a small Cinema.
However, this wasn’t what Sean Knight was looking for.
He descended the stairs and left, moving through the shadows to another set of buildings.
Using Sky Eye at the door, he finally discovered that this set of single-story houses, which looked like a warehouse, was actually the Museum he was searching for.
The exterior seemed plain, with just one padlocked front gate, but Sean Knight didn’t dare to act rashly.
Through Sky Eye, he could finally see two sets of alarm systems behind this large façade.
One was an Infrared Sensing Alarm System, and the other was a circuit alarm system.
If anyone tried to open the gate without first disabling these two alarm systems, the alarm would be immediately triggered, setting off a loud alarm bell.
Sean Knight hesitated, unsure if this was the right time to risk entering the Museum.
However, standing outside the Museum, he could still see what was inside.
After scanning with Sky Eye, Sean Knight was relieved. At least for now, the items inside were still there.
From the outside, it might not look like much, but seen through Sky Eye, the Museum was quite sizable.
Assorted items—two or three hundred pieces—were placed inside.
Large artifacts like Ancient statues, Copper sculptures, and metallic armor; small items like Gemstone Rings, Golden Jewelry, and silver tableware; jeweled Copper Masks encrusted with gemstones.
The variety of items was truly comprehensive.
These cultural relics were displayed on individual stands, protected by glass cabinets, and each stand was connected to an alarm device below.
Forced entry would trigger an alarm.
Looking at the complex alarm system, Sean Knight felt that it would certainly be impossible to handle alone.
To actually disarm these alarm facilities, he would likely need Lincoln Harrington’s help.
And Sean Knight estimated that moving all these items would require at least four or five big trucks.
After all, there were no small number of large statues, sculptures, and pieces of armor.
Inside, there was even an over-life-sized Copper Cross.
It wouldn’t be possible to pack these artifacts like cargo; they needed to be well packaged and protected.
Sean Knight was starting to feel a headache coming on. His initial thought of infiltrating alone meant handling the items here directly, stowing them into his spatial realm, and then leaving.
That wouldn’t expose his special abilities to Lincoln Harrington and would complete the mission.
Now, it was becoming troublesome.
After all, once Lincoln Harrington’s help was required to tackle the alarm system, they would have to transport the items away immediately; otherwise, disabling the alarm system and leaving empty-handed would undoubtedly give others an opportunity.
This was certainly not a good situation.
Sean Knight was beginning to feel the trouble.
Logically, he should leave now. After all, the longer one waits through the night, the more dangerous it becomes.
But Sean Knight was also reluctant.
The items were within reach, and if he didn’t take them tonight, Sean Knight wouldn’t be able to sleep even if he returned home.
What should he do?
Should he force his way in?
Then he would probably have only about ten minutes, followed by an escape—and facing pursuers from all sides, even potentially five sides!
Just Sean Knight and Lincoln Harrington alone couldn’t possibly escape such a hunt—they were not Superman!
