Chapter 873: Chapter 503: Mistaken for a Thief!
Sean Knight’s body was slowly enveloped in a coarser milky-white energy, but he wasn’t worried. With his Sky Eye active, only he could see this type of energy.
Although Lincoln Harrington and Cheryl Suweton had already sensed that something was amiss with Sean at the moment, everyone’s attention was more captivated by the group of light above the Sacred Footprint Stone Seal, so it didn’t particularly concern them.
Sean was enjoying the process, too.
Even though the energies were different, the images that appeared in his mind were of devotees on their pilgrimage and their realizations from practice, as well as their life experiences, but the impact on Sean’s mind wasn’t too significant.
At least here, when these believers worshipped, the faith in their hearts was mainly peaceful, not overly fanatic.
What Sean found interesting was that, perhaps because the energy was abundantly overflowing, or because the four religious sects were distinct, he could only absorb the energy of one type of believer on this side.
But with a slight shift in focus, he could sense the arrival of three other completely different yet very pure faith energies.
Sean looked around, and as everyone’s attention was still fixed on the dazzling white light, with some exclaiming and some even raising their mobile phones to take photos and record videos, no one was paying attention to him.
He slowly moved his feet and then discovered that he had entered into another group of faith energy radiation, which naturally flowed into his body!
In such a manner, Sean quickly gathered the energy of all four faiths, with more and more pouring into him from the Sacred Footprint Stone Seal.
"Eh? Have you guys noticed, the brightness of the white light is diminishing!"
Someone suddenly shouted, drawing everyone’s attention.
The dazzling white light did not transform into the visage of saints from various religions as everyone had imagined; it remained just a group of white light.
After the white light had shimmered for a while, its luminance suddenly began to wane, and this caught everyone’s notice at once!
Sean ignored this, feeling the fulfillment of energy surging into his body again. With such a rare opportunity, how could he not cherish it?
"Look, there are faces in the white light...figures showing up!"
This truly stunned everyone!
Within the shimmering white light, indeed, a faint human figure appeared!
However, what immediately disappointed the Buddhists who had come to worship was that—clearly, the figure did not have a shaven head!
So, what form might "he" take?
The crowd was very expectant—at this point, even more people were recording!
"No way... it can’t be recorded! The figure isn’t showing up in the video!"
Some people stared at their phones, slightly panicked. How could this be?
At this time, the crowd’s voices grew louder and all their focus converged on the Sacred Footprint Stone Seal. Then, some people noticed Sean and his group, who were closest to it.
Someone with sharp eyes realized that the figure in the white light bore a slight resemblance to Sean—in particular, the figure’s actions!
"Look, doesn’t that person look like the one in the white light?"
The observer called out, but no one paid attention.
Nearly everyone was absorbed by the white light, some concerned about why the figure in the white light couldn’t be captured, while others wondered if the figure might be a holy relic.
At that moment, Sean suddenly felt the speed of energy flowing into his body accelerate!
And the white light above the Sacred Footprint Stone Seal dimmed abruptly, noticeably so!
Was the showing of the holy relic coming to an end?
Sean too was puzzled. This was Adam’s Peak, a famously known place, declared a holy site by all four major religions. How could there be only such a meager amount of energy?
He felt that the energy he had absorbed was, at most, only equivalent to the quantity from those three Terracotta Figurines he had taken from the Indian Sacrificial Pit earlier.
It was even less than the energy from the White Cross he had acquired from Europe!
That shouldn’t be right!
However, taking advantage of an unexpected opportunity is always good, right? Why would one complain about the size of the free date’s pit?
Forget it!
Sean felt that his energy levels had been largely replenished and was quite content, ready to stop—
You can’t fish until the pond is empty, after all!
Just as he looked down at the Sacred Footprint Stone Seal, he suddenly noticed a palm-sized object akin to a rice seed on the seal.
This object was translucent, resembling a carving made of crystal or jade, and it radiated a milky white halo.
The white light hadn’t completely dissipated yet, so its presence wasn’t very conspicuous.
But Sean knew that once the white light was gone, this object would be exposed to everyone’s view.
If not now, when?
He bent down, pretending to tie his shoelace; as his hand touched the pedestal beside the Stone Seal, a rod suddenly appeared in his hand, extending towards the Seal. He then flipped the enlarged rice seed over to his side and effortlessly swept both the rod and the object into his spatial realm!
The entire process took but a second—perfect!
Just as he pocketed the object, the white light on the Stone Seal vanished entirely, casting everyone’s sight into darkness and triggering chaos.
"Let’s go, let’s go. It’s bound to get chaotic here soon!"
Sean immediately pulled Cheryl Suweton, signaling to Lincoln Harrington and the others, "Let’s leave quickly, or we’ll run into trouble later!"
In their packages, they all had items they had dug out from the mountain, including detectors and shovels. Indeed, if there were a search, that would truly bring trouble!
