Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Compensating for Losses in the Pit by Gains Outside the Pit

"What if I don’t agree?" Sean Knight said coldly, "We have an agreement. You guys only have 40% of the share!"

Mr. White was stunned for a moment, then took out the signed paper and laughed as he tore it into pieces:

"You mean this? You see, it’s gone now!"

With that, Mr. White threw the pieces away.

Sean sneered.

For money, these people could do anything!

Shiny gold truly reflected human nature.

It had nothing to do with race.

He weighed the golden bars in his hand and threw two of them at Mr. White’s feet:

"Then let’s compromise. These two are yours, and the rest are mine."

After saying that, Sean put the gold in his pocket, picked up his tools, and prepared to leave.

Mr. White picked up the gold, his eyes revealing a greedy expression. He walked two steps to stop Sean, but Sean spoke first:

"If you don’t want to get hurt, it’s best to back off now! Otherwise, I will let you experience what real Kung Fu is like!"

With that, he kicked a nearby tree as thick as an arm, breaking it!

Mr. White was startled, then watched Sean and Jason Caldwell leave, his mouth moving but not daring to speak again.

When they reached the entrance, Jason was still fuming:

"Boss, why didn’t you insist on getting that gold back? This isn’t fair to you!"

Sean glanced at Mr. White, who was on the phone, and sneered:

"Don’t worry; we won’t be the ones to lose."

He had originally planned to use the first treasure point to test the Joseph Family, but he didn’t expect the gold to reveal their true nature so quickly!

Perfect, they wouldn’t need to bring them along for the rest now!

Outside the gate, two cars stopped, and several young people got out, enthusiastically carrying tools, ready for a serious treasure hunt.

Sean rolled his eyes and deliberately shouted:

"Fuck! The Joseph family is so disgusting! They’ve clearly signed an agreement, taking 40% of the share, but fuck, we found the treasure, and now they’re reneging! It’s bullshit!

It’s just as well, we’ve found the treasure, and there’s no need to come here ever again!"

He purposely showed the gold, tossing it in his hand, then putting it in his backpack and getting into the car.

Jason cooperated very well, flipping the middle finger at Mr. White and yelling:

"Fuck! Shit! The Joseph family is full of bastards!" Then he got in the car too.

After getting in the car, he opened the window and flipped off Mr. White again, who had reached the entrance!

The young people next to them heard Sean’s words, looked at each other, and then a light-skinned black guy approached the window and asked Jason:

"Hey, man! What were you just saying?"

"What?" Jason immediately got excited: "We had an agreement, they took 40% of the share. But when we dug up two and a half kilograms of gold, they wanted 60%! Fucking bastards!"

"What? You’ve already dug up gold?" The leader of the youth, a white person, asked in surprise.

"Yeah!" Jason was a great actor, cooperating very well. He took a piece of gold from Sean’s backpack and waved it in front of them, then grumbled:

"Too bad the Joseph family took more than half! Those motherfuckers!"

"Let’s go! Let’s go!" Sean impatiently started the car and drove away.

Jason leaned out from the passenger seat and shouted at the group:

"Guys, don’t be fooled! The agreement they signed is fake, and can be torn up at any time!"

As the voice echoed, Mr. White wanted to refute, but the pickup truck had already gone far.

In the car, Jason laughed and said to Sean:

"Bosuns, how was my acting? Did I pull it off?"

"Absolutely! Very convincing! You could go to Hollywood!"

Jason laughed happily, but quickly sighed again:

"But I’m still not satisfied!"

Sean hesitated for a moment but ultimately decided not to say anything.

What he had to do next was very secretive, so it was better not to tell Jason about it.

"We’ve already got the gold beforehand, so we don’t care about this anymore." Sean tried to console him.

Jason thought about it and cheered up again.

Sean marveled at how Jason’s mood could change so easily!

His emotions were too extreme!

After sending Jason back to his rental place and having dinner, Sean gave Jason 500 dollars before leaving.

He called Mrs. Susan and told her he wouldn’t be back tonight.

Then he bought a set of black clothes, a pair of slightly larger shoes, a high-powered flashlight, and some pepper powder before driving out of the city.

Sean drove off the main road a few kilometers away from Joseph’s Manor and into the woods, where he rested in the car.

The sky gradually darkened and turned pitch black.

A crescent moon rose, but its light was not strong.

When it was the latter half of the night, Sean was awakened by the ringing of his mobile phone.

He rubbed his face to wake himself up, started the car, and slowly drove onto the main road, stopping less than a kilometer from Joseph’s home.

After hiding the car by the side of the road, Sean carried his backpack with tools and a flashlight, sneaking towards Joseph’s Manor.

Once he found the main road and figured out the general direction, Sean quietly arrived at the gold hiding spot, collected the gold, filled in the hole, and went to the second hiding spot.

The second hiding spot was deeper, and by then, Sean was already tired.

He took out a prepared chocolate and ate it, then resumed digging.

After digging out the box containing gemstones, he checked inside the hole, confirmed its contents, and placed it in his backpack before filling the hole and quickly leaving.

Sean drove into the city, feeling extremely exhausted. He parked in a parking lot, locked the car doors, and fell fast asleep inside.

Sean was woken up by a phone call.

It was George calling. Once connected, he spoke to Sean with dissatisfaction:

"Sean, we have a contract. You have already found the treasure, so why didn’t you inform me? Are you planning to keep all the gold for yourself?"

Obviously, he had learned about Sean’s discovery of the gold from Joseph.

Sean hadn’t slept well, and now feeling angrier after listening to George, he snapped:

"Mr. George, I don’t know where you got your information, but I don’t understand why you think I would keep the gold for myself?

Considering this, I don’t think it’s necessary for us to cooperate in the future!"

After saying this, Sean hung up the phone!

George, on the other end, was stunned by the sudden disconnection!

Why did this Chinese man suddenly become so assertive?

He had plenty of treasure news in his hands, and all he was doing was asking why Sean hadn’t informed him about the found treasure—why did that make him angry?

Why did he get angry?

George knew about Joseph’s family demanding 60% of the gold.

That was normal! After all, the treasure belonged to the Joseph family!

Besides, aren’t Chinese people always like this? As long as one shows a strong stance, they will bow their heads and lower their conditions.

Why was Sean different?
