With his explanation, everyone else burst into laughter, indeed, not everyone can succeed so easily.
The airplane landed, and several people carrying packages left the Airport. I’ll hold off any complaints about the climate and everything else here, lest some say it’s racial discrimination.
Cheryl Suweton and her employer were resting in a Star Hotel in New Delhi. When Sean Knight and the others arrived, Cheryl had already been in the main hall to greet them.
"Dear, long time no see! I missed you!" Cheryl embraced Sean Knight with a big hug and gave him a French kiss as soon as they met.
That alone made many people envious.
Douglas Cooper said to Elijah Hastings with a tang of jealousy:
"I don’t even ask for the boss’s luck in making money anymore, just to have half of his ability to charm girls, I would be content."
"I think, you might as well envy the boss’s luck in earning money," joked Elijah Hastings. "That’s even harder, isn’t it?"
"Dear, let me introduce you," Cheryl, releasing her hold, warmly took Sean Knight’s arm and introduced the girl beside her:
"This is my employer that I’ve told you about, Haruda Tomoko, a graduate student from Waseda University in Japan."
"Miss Chika, hello," James Ross nodded and greeted.
"Mr. Knight, hello!"
What surprised Sean Knight was that Miss Haruda Tomoko spoke Mandarin very well and even reached out to shake hands with him.
"I feel it’s unfair!" Cheryl complained in her somewhat broken Mandarin before switching back to English, "You all speak Chinese, and I can only say a few dry sentences. No, I must make an effort to learn Chinese well."
Sean Knight laughed, patting Cheryl’s hair, "Actually, there’s no need; it’s quite good as it is now."
"Yes," Haruda Tomoko added in English, "Cheryl, you’re envious of my Mandarin; I’m envious of you for having such a wonderful boyfriend."
Sean Knight glanced at Haruda Tomoko, feeling there was a deep meaning behind her words.
Haruda Tomoko also felt the implication in James Ross’s gaze but merely blinked and said nothing.
Cheryl, acting like the Silly White Sweet, proudly wrapped her arms around Sean Knight’s arm and said:
"The one I chose is naturally the best!"
Cheryl had already booked rooms for Sean Knight and the others. After entering the room, Sean Knight was about to change his clothes when Cheryl followed slipped in.
"What’s the deal with Haruda Tomoko?" James Ross asked while changing clothes.
"Her open identity is just as I told you," Cheryl now spoke calmly:
"As for her actual identity, I’m still inquiring. There’s no specific information yet, but I have learned that Miss Haruda Tomoko’s great grandfather indeed once served in the army that invaded India and was said to be a colonel.
According to her own explanation, her great grandfather was a staunch anti-war advocate and came to India reluctantly.
Later, her grandfather disappeared in the jungles in the South of India during a secret operation, along with nearly a hundred other Japanese soldiers."
According to Haruda Tomoko’s speculation, this might have something to do with a treasure looted from India by a troop from Japan."
Seeing Sean Knight had changed, Cheryl approached, gently embracing him, and said:
"You’re really heartless! If I don’t contact you, you simply never get in touch with me. Have you really planned to forget me?"
"How could that be?" Sean Knight looked down and kissed Cheryl’s face tenderly, "I just hoped you could seriously consider what your feelings for me really stand for.
I don’t want you to be with me just because you’re grateful.
Of course, I have been too busy recently. I’ve encountered two attacks in a row there!
To ensure safety, I’ve been involved in purchasing equipment and recruiting personnel and so on."
Cheryl knew about Sean Knight’s purchase of Big Island on the Sea.
So when she heard he was attacked, Cheryl quickly asked with concern, "You weren’t hurt, were you? Who dared to attack you? Damn it!"
That the mercenaries and hackers who died were worth cursing by Cheryl made Sean think their demise had some value.
"Some time ago, a plane crashed near my island, it’s said the owner of the airplane lost a large sum of digital currency, and those people probably thought I had taken it," Sean simply explained and then shifted the topic back to the employer:
"How did Haruda Tomoko find you? Your employer is not simple at all."
"She got in touch with me through my former employer," Cheryl explained:
"It’s because I’m one of the few women in the treasure hunting world who are somewhat successful and have a good reputation, so she found me.
Dear, don’t worry, I’m not really a Silly White Sweet; I’m cautious about her."
Cheryl evidently knew Haruda Tomoko was not simple and continued:
"I knew she was no ordinary person when she came to me. However, I still haven’t found out anything useful. I believe as our work unfolds, she might reveal some things."
She wrapped her arms around Sean’s neck and said:
"It’s a waste to discuss such boring issues during such a beautiful time. Don’t you think we should catch up more deeply and see if there’s anything different about each other..."
Sean thought to himself, I knew you were craving my body.
Naturally, he had similar thoughts.
So what followed could only be understood and not described.
When Sean Knight and Cheryl came down to the lobby together two hours later, they both looked exceptionally spirited, to say they were glowing would not be an exaggeration.
Elijah Hastings and the others were used to this, but Haruda Tomoko had a knowing expression on her face.
As an adult woman, she could guess what Sean Knight and Cheryl had been up to in the room.
The image of Haruda Tomoko did not fit the typical perception of a Japanese woman; instead, she had the look of a mixed-race beauty.
In School, Haruda Tomoko had no shortage of suitors, so she was not unfamiliar with such matters.
It’s just, wasn’t the time they spent a bit long?
