Chapter 822: Chapter 485: I came all this way just to see this?

Big Island began major construction works, which immediately caught the attention of interested parties.

And the enthusiasm of tourists visiting the island was soaring; when they took boats out to sea and saw several ports and piers under construction on the island, they became excited.

Lana had already received complaints and suggestions from tourists, saying that the beaches were now too crowded, comparable to domestic ones. There were too few ports and piers, and the boats coming nearby to do business were too cramped and unsafe, among other things.

When Sean heard about this from Lana, he was speechless. After all, when he first developed the island, he thought about convenience for his own family, having his own domain, and never considered tourism.

The idea of embarking on tourism was also due to Craig Davis’s construction workers’ families coming over for visits, along with Lana’s ideas.

Who could have known that the place would suddenly become so popular and turn into an internet celebrity hotspot for travellers?

This rise to fame was a step-by-step process.

Fortunately, now that construction company workers were present, they just went for it – the place was large and could handle the activity.

Sean had only made some requests to the builders and left the rest for them to handle.

Creating several tourist beaches and building two more living ports was not a difficult task.

He didn’t pay too much attention to it, focusing instead on the safety facilities being built near the residential area and the airport.

Once those were completed, and some security personnel dispatched there, they would essentially be able to relax without worries.

Elijah had moved several boxes of items salvaged from the salvage ship to Sean’s villa. Pointing to the boxes, Sean said to Lana,

"You handle these things."

"What things?" Lana, having been indulged for several nights, was now lazy, but Sean rarely spoke so directly about things, and she was curious.

"You’ll know when you look," Sean said. "Seized from the salvage ship."

Lana went forward to open the box and then saw it full of red coral and some yellow minerals.

"Red coral? So much of it? And such high quality!"

Lana had been in charge of tourism on Big Island for a while and was familiar with the red coral materials sold by the fishermen at their stalls here.

Usually, she saw them piece by piece, but suddenly seeing a whole box was undoubtedly shocking.

After all, these things weren’t cheap!

"You figure out what to do with them," Sean said. "There’s quite a bit of this under the sea in our territory."

"Quite a bit? How much?" Lana’s eyes lit up; beautiful things easily entice beautiful women.

She already had some preliminary ideas.

"Well," Sean considered the two areas where red coral was found and said, "Enough to fill dozens of these boxes, I guess?"

"That much?" Lana’s eyes widened even more, "Then we could..."

"You take care of it. Selling these things domestically requires a permit. Of course, making them into jewelry would fetch a higher price, but not many people would buy them. Oh, and fishermen also come to sell at the port; I’ve bought some from them too. If you can get the permit, these could earn quite a bit of money."

To Sean at this point, these were just minor dealings, not worth putting too much effort into.

Ensuring the supply of essentials on Big Island was what Sean felt was the real task at hand. As long as tourists had food to eat, places to stay, and their safety could be guaranteed, he didn’t need to worry about the rest.

Otherwise, what was Lana managing?

He was hands-off and had the spirit of a lone ranger, not suited to doing business.

However, Lana actually liked handling these matters, with her eyes constantly rolling, thinking up some plan or another.

Sean stayed on the island for a few more days before he received a phone call from Kathy.

"Mr. Knight, there’s a Mr. Heilemann here who says he has something to discuss with you, and he has already visited twice,"

Sean Knight had never heard of any Heilemann, so he hadn’t planned on going to ask, but what Kathy Lewis said next made him change his mind:

"This Heilemann says he has something that you’re interested in, and it’s a high-quality item with a reasonable price. He hopes you can have a good talk with him."

"Something I’m interested in?" Sean immediately thought of those energetic treasures.

"Did he say what kind of items they are?"

"No, he said these items need to be kept confidential."

Convinced that it had to be the items he was thinking of, especially since he had sold some before and shown his cards, he said to Kathy:

"When this Heilemann comes again, tell him I’ll be back in two days to meet him."

"Sure, Mr. Knight, please be careful."

After the phone call, Sean told Lana Brown about the matter.

Lately Sean had always been around the island, even if he left for a while, he still returned to Big Island. Lana had received enough care and knew that Sean had important matters to take care of and couldn’t always be there. Although she felt reluctant, she couldn’t stop him.

This time going to New York, Sean brought Elijah Hastings and the other two with him.

On Big Island’s sea surface, there were professional teams on patrol speedboats sent by Kyle Mitchell, and the security forces on the island had been strengthened as well, with hundreds of people maintaining public order, so Sean wasn’t worried.

During this period, he had gradually cleared out most of his digital currency using the island’s phone, earning enough money to pay Kyle Mitchell and still have more than enough left over.

So if this Heilemann really had some good items, he was planning to make a good purchase.

After taking an airplane from Big Island to New York, the first person Sean Knight met wasn’t Heilemann, nor was it Kathy, but Joanna Davis.

At the airport, Joanna clung to Sean like a koala, wrapping her not-so-long legs around his waist and her lips eagerly kissing his, unwilling to let go for a long time.

If not for the occasional well-meaning smiles and whistles from the people nearby, Joanna would have clung to Sean all the way until he entered the car.

Sean felt a pang of guilt in his heart for his beloved girl.

However, he hadn’t expected the first thing Joanna would say after letting go was:

"How did you get taller again?"

Taller?

Sean himself hadn’t noticed, but Joanna felt it was quite obvious.

"I remember that my head used to reach here on you, but now..."

Joanna was still hanging on him, one arm around his neck and the other hand gesturing between her head and Sean’s nose.

"Oh, maybe it’s because I’ve been exercising a lot, and eating with good nutrition..."

Sean could only reply vaguely.

Energy was something Joanna had experienced before, but no one, including Elijah Hastings and the others, had shown changes as obvious as his own.

But Sean thought he should be about done growing; at 1.85 meters, that was enough. Any taller would be slightly ridiculous.

After going to the villa with Joanna and messing around for a while, when he finally met Kathy and saw the information Heilemann left behind, Sean unexpectedly said:

"I came all this way, just for you to show me this?"
