Chapter 775: Chapter 468: Saved a Fellow MM_2
Is he even human?
Or has he transformed into some sort of superhero?
This strength is too much, isn’t it?
One of them, not willing to back down, charged forward with a stick.
Elijah Hastings intercepted the teenager’s hand, snatched the stick away, and struck the teenager’s leg with it.
"Crack!"
The leg broke on the spot!
Staring at his twisted leg, the teenager looked shocked before screaming in pain.
This finally deterred the other teenagers!
Although they were shouting loudly, they were also retreating – this was clearly a display of fear.
Elijah had no mercy. He didn’t believe any nonsense about "renouncing evil to become a Buddha."
Bad people were just bad. Forcing them to drop their weapons was situational; if they took them up again, they’d be even fiercer!
Think about the atrocities committed by the returning gangs!
The teenagers were intimidated by Elijah’s show of force – the lighter hit ones were left sobbing, while those with broken bones were left rolling on the ground.
After dealing with the teenagers, Elijah’s mood improved significantly.
Carrying the stick, he turned to Sean Knight.
Sean waved his hand:
"Let’s go."
He wasn’t trying to be a saint; he simply disliked those teenagers.
The shop owner watched as Sean and Elijah left, the shock written all over his face. He rushed back into the shop and locked the door.
Clearly, he was afraid of getting caught up in the teenagers’ mess.
One of the less injured teenagers saw Sean and Elijah turning their backs and heading towards the car. He clenched his teeth and muttered "Chinese pigs." Then, he drew a dagger from his waist and lunged at Elijah!
"Don’t—!"
The female waitress happened to see and shouted a warning.
One of the other teenagers who had previously pulled her hair by now let go. When he saw her warning the foreigners, he became furious and went to slap the girl!
"Bang!"
"Slap!"
Elijah had already sensed the movement behind him. Hearing the teenager’s curses, he whirled around with a flying kick!
This kick sent the dagger flying and the teenager’s arm snapped back, hitting his own chest.
The teenager rolled on the ground in pain.
Elijah also heard the female waitress’s warning and saw the teenager’s attempt to attack.
The stick in his hand flew into action.
Before the teenager could slap the girl, the stick fiercely struck him!
He screamed in pain, hugging his stomach and curling into a shrimp-like shape!
"Garbage!" Elijah cursed. He thanked the female waitress, then turned to leave.
The waitress looked at the closed heavy door and glanced at Sean before suddenly standing up and running after Elijah.
"Please, help me!"
The girl spoke in awkward Chinese.
Sean and Elijah were both taken aback.
"My parents are dead... He forces me to work, doesn’t care if others bully me..." she stammered, looking at the restaurant.
Sean guessed that she was referring to the shop owner.
But taking a Japanese girl away would undoubtedly impact their mission.
He hoped to leave quickly, as the old monk’s situation couldn’t remain hidden for long.
Elijah was also hesitant. He had just tried to help someone, but this girl also warned him – even though he didn’t need the warning, he couldn’t have been tricked.
Escaping with her would make things even more difficult!
"My father was Chinese..." the girl said at last.
"Come on, get in the car!" Hearing this, Sean immediately changed his attitude. "We’ll talk in the car!"
The girl hurriedly climbed into the car, carefully settling in behind the driver’s seat.
Elijah started the car and sped away.
The injured teenagers were left wailing in front of the restaurant.
The townspeople watched indifferently. No one came to help, no one paid attention to the departing car.
It was as if they had no connection to these events.
One of the able teenagers slowly crawled towards the shop, threatening the shop owner to make a phone call.
By the time someone picked up the teenagers and got them into a car, it had been an hour already.
When the shop owner saw the teenagers leaving, he carefully opened the door and looked around. When he saw no one, he breathed a sigh of relief.
At that moment, he noticed the waitress was missing!
The shop owner hadn’t expected her to run away. He thought she was frightened by the teenagers and hiding somewhere.
She would naturally come back when night fell.
After all, her identification and documents were in this hands, and her father was Chinese, which made her unpopular in the town.
Leaving the restaurant seemed almost impossible.
And yet, as night fell, there was still no sign of her. The shop owner began to panic.
Had she really run away?
Since her belongings were in his possession, the shop owner hadn9t hidden his misdeeds from her.
If she had indeed run away, and then, as revenge, exposed him, he would be in big trouble!
But so much time had passed - where could she be?
In the car, the girl’s slightly hoarse voice was heard:
"I’m Monica Reed. My father was a Chinese tourist who fell in love with my mother here and stayed. I grew up in the town because my mother is a local. My father is a writer. He rarely appears and isn’t well-liked by the townspeople..."
Her voice stopped, and she took a deep breath, as if making a decision. Then she continued:
