Chapter 774: Chapter 468: Saved a Fellow MM

"Alright, let’s look around some more and then get out of here as soon as possible." Sean Knight didn’t want to stay any longer. They had penetrated deep into enemy territory and killed someone. They had already achieved their goal, so why not leave now while they still could?

The two went to the Japanese soldier’s meditation room, and Sean directly headed towards the stack of books by the bed.

As expected, these books were similar to those found in the Side Palace, mostly ancient medical books and others about guiding techniques for health preservation.

No wonder!

Sean stuffed all the books into his backpack and then searched through a wooden box by the bed, scooping out a considerable amount of cash.

Sean also took the money with him.

Elijah Hastings found quite a few medicines in the inner room, and even discovered some precious medicinal materials in a cabinet, but he only looked at them and didn’t touch them.

Sean didn’t let him drink the porridge in the morning, saying that it smelled medicinal, so Elijah knew.

The old monk must have had murderous intentions at that time.

After searching around the single-story house, the two headed towards the front yard with their backpacks, finding nothing else.

Looking at the main hall, Elijah asked Sean:

"Should we set it on fire?"

"No need," Sean waved his hand, "if we leave it, it’ll buy us some time. Once we set fire to it, we probably will be fugitives."

After leaving the College Gate and closing it behind them, the two got into their car and drove out of the village.

People from the village saw them leave but did not react.

The car slowed down after leaving the village.

Sean suddenly thought of something and asked:

"Elijah, what about Douglas? We haven’t contacted him yet."

"Oh yeah, we forgot about him!" Elijah also remembered, "No idea where he is now."

When they left the airport, Douglas Cooper, a local, had split off from them and found his own way.

They encountered no major obstacles on their journey. The old monk was indeed vicious, but he was no match for their modern firearms.

Thus, within a day, the two had already accomplished their task.

Now that they thought about Douglas, had he gone to the wrong place?

"Let’s give him a call." Sean took out his mobile phone and called Douglas.

"...Boss, did you guys succeed?"

Upon hearing Douglas’ voice, Sean sighed in relief, and said, "Yeah, mission accomplished. We encountered some minor hiccups, but it didn’t have a significant impact. How about you?"

"I... I didn’t go to your location. I had some trouble on the way. I’m still in Kumamoto - although I’m in the suburbs nearby. I’ve made a new discovery. If you guys return to the city, wait for me there, I’ll be back soon."

"Be careful then."

"Don’t worry." Douglas laughed as he hung up the phone.

"He’s fine, just ran into some issues." Sean spoke to Elijah: "Let’s head back and wait in the city for him."

"Alright." Elijah responded and continued to drive.

The car soon arrived at the small town.

"Boss, do you want to have some noodles here?" Elijah knew that he and Sean hadn’t really had a proper breakfast earlier, and it was now time for a meal."

"No, let’s just go straight back. We have food in the package, and we can eat it on the road." Sean waved his hand, "It’s better to avoid added trouble. Let’s get back to Kumamoto as soon as possible."

As the car entered the small town’s street, it passed the entrance of the noodle restaurant they had eaten at yesterday and continued on.

At that moment, Sean saw the entrance of the noodle restaurant where they had eaten the day before. The teenagers from yesterday were now laughing and grabbing at the female waitress’s skirt.

The waitress tried desperately to dodge them, but couldn’t evade the teenagers’ pursuit.

Several teenagers cornered the waitress like teasing a cat or a dog, moving in sync, showing no signs of letting her go.

An elderly man from the town came to advise the boys, but was kicked to the ground by one of them. The waitress wanted to help the old man up, but was grabbed by the hair, her headscarf falling off.

Her long hair fell loose, causing the teenagers to become even more wild. As they pulled her hair, the girl could only try to protect herself, unable to fight back.

The noodle restaurant owner came out and, seeing the boys causing trouble, only tried to persuade them from the side, not daring to step forward to stop them.

"Boss?"

Elijah noticed what was happening and looked at Sean.

"Pull over," Sean said, "if the Japanese soldiers won’t teach their children, let’s give them a hand."

"Alright!" Elijah parked the car to the side, and Sean got out.

Actually, the teenagers had noticed the car coming, and the waitress did too. However, when they saw the car turn away first, the girl’s initially rising hopes plummeted.

At this moment, the car suddenly stopped, and the teenagers exchanged glances. One was still holding the waitress’s hair, while the others picked up baseball bats that had been leaning against the wall.

Seeing their movement of tightly gripping the baseball bats, Sean could tell that these guys were no strangers to using them as weapons - their actions were very practiced!

As Sean and Elijah approached them step by step, seemingly unafraid, the teenagers became angry. One of them raised his bat and roared before charging forward!

"Bang!"

Sean dodged the bat, then kicked the teenager out of the way!

His strength was several times that of an ordinary person, and the teenager simply couldn’t bear the brunt of his kick.

As the teenager fell back, he collided with another one who was rushing over, nearly knocking them both down.

The other two propped up their companion and looked at Sean with fear.
