Chapter 739: Chapter 456: Is This Considered as Good Luck or Bad Luck?_2
Power is a dangerous thing. It’s manageable for now, but in the future, if they taste its sweetness, they should be careful not to become reckless. Before they reached the living area, they suddenly felt a large shadow overhead, followed by a roaring sound.
Lincoln, who was driving, hit the brakes, stopping the car on the side of the road. All four of them got out.
They then saw a Gulfstream aircraft slanting across the sky above them, trailing black smoke as it plunged into the sea.
A massive sound carried over.
Did it break apart?
Sean and the others looked at each other. This was bizarre!
Less than a year had passed since the last plane crash in this area!
Those who could afford a Gulfstream were not ordinary people!
This incident would surely cause a stir!
Sean imagined that soon there would be a gathering of yachts and salvage ships in the area.
"Let’s go, turn around, back to the pier, and check it out!"
Following Sean’s order, everyone got back in the car and headed back.
When they arrived at the pier, they found that several boats were already heading towards the site of the plane crash.
Boarding their yacht, they raced ahead of the other boats and quickly arrived at the scene.
The entire plane had sunk into the sea, with only ripples and spreading oil stains visible on the surface.
Some lightweight parts from the plane floated in the seawater.
"Go down and take a look." Sean, who had changed into his diving gear, dove into the water.
A few fishing boats nearby also approached, but they had no diving equipment. Some fishermen simply jumped into the water.
Sean left Lincoln to watch the yacht while Elijah and Douglas joined him in diving.
They did not split up but followed Sean through the water.
They had been here before – the water was no more than forty meters deep, and the underwater ecosystem was thriving. But who knew what the crashed plane would do to it?
Upon reaching the wreckage, Sean discovered it was a Gulfstream 550, older than his own but still a top-class business jet.
The fuselage had broken into four or five sections, scattered across a kilometer of the seafloor.
Using the Sky Eye, Sean quickly located a mutilated corpse within the wreckage, clutching a tightly sealed box.
Scanning with the Sky Eye, Sean was surprised to find that the box contained a USB drive wrapped in multiple layers for protection.
Dragging the corpse to the surface, they boarded the deck.
Lincoln and Douglas bagged the body and stored it with ice.
Leaving them, Sean and Elijah went back into the water to search.
They found another body – the Asian-looking pilot with some Indian ancestry.
Undeterred, they brought up this body as well.
After a thorough search, they found nothing unusual aboard the plane and returned to the deck.
With both bodies secured, Sean examined the box more closely.
Searching the unrecognizable man’s body, he retrieved a key from his suit’s inner pocket. The key was tied to the pocket button with a string.
Sean pulled the key free and inserted it into the lock of the small, 30-centimeter, seemingly airtight box made of aviation-grade material.
Opening the box, he removed layer after layer of packaging until he held the USB drive in his hand.
At this point, Lincoln passed him a notebook computer from the driver’s cockpit: "Boss, this computer isn’t connected to the internet."
Sean nodded approvingly at Lincoln, who proved to be much more reliable than Douglas.
He wondered if the drive’s contents would automatically be sent elsewhere once connected to the internet – which would spell trouble.
After plugging the USB drive into the computer, Sean found three English-named folders.
He recognized them: BTC and DOG. But the third one, not so much.
Opening the BTC folder, he found a text file containing a combination of numbers and letters.
What was this? A secret message? Code? Or a password?
Sean had a hunch and couldn’t contain his excitement. If he was right, then this time...
He transferred the data to the computer, then turned it off.
Looking at Elijah and the others, he said, "Don’t mention the box. Just say we found the bodies."
"Don’t worry, boss!" Elijah and the others immediately understood that the contents of the USB drive must be important.
However, no one asked – they knew to keep the secret.
Even those who dived from the fishing boats without equipment managed to salvage some fragments of the plane.
Sean and the others didn’t join in and returned to the Big Island by yacht.
At the pier, there were refrigerators for storing fruits and fishing goods, so they left the two bodies there.
They then drove back to the living area.
Once home at the villa, Sean could hardly contain his excitement as he turned on his computer – one with internet access.
He searched, opened websites, and tried using the combination he remembered from the text file.
When the screen appeared, Sean couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
