Chapter 701: Chapter 443: This is Just the Beginning!

"Boss, check this out!"

Lincoln Harrington came over with a notebook in his hand.

"I found this on that guy," Lincoln pointed at Wagner Watson, "I guess he’s the big shot."

Sean Knight flipped through the notebook and found that it was a diary of a Swastika Force military officer.

Turns out, even before these Swastika Force guys started bringing stuff here, someone already knew there was a divine temple here.

And this diary was written by an officer who had scouted the place in advance.

The officer described the appearance of the temple in detail, as well as the approximate location - objects in the desert were too small to be accurately marked, so only an approximate location could be given.

However, at that time, the river hadn’t completely dried up yet, and there was still water flowing during the rainy season, so the map in the diary anchored the location mainly based on the river.

The diary recorded the legend of the temple and the treasure it held. It also detailed the plan of the Desert Fox to hide some of the valuable goods they had found in the temple.

According to the officer’s description, the Swastika Force would send an elite squad to escort the valuable goods to the temple, eliminate any remaining divine servants, hide the goods in the temple, and then bury the place.

However, after the departure of this squad, there was no news of them returning.

This led others to speculate about their fate - some guessed that the squad had mutinied with the treasure and left.

Some guessed that they had encountered a sandstorm on the way and perished.

Others theorized that they had been annihilated by the temple guards.

Initially, the Desert Fox planned to send someone to check on the situation, but due to the sudden change in the tide of the war, he didn’t have a chance to return, leaving the rest of the treasure buried in various places, before hastily leaving.

There are more treasures!

Sean got a little excited.

Unfortunately, the locations of the other treasures were not recorded in this notebook.

Suddenly, Sean remembered the documents he had collected previously in the Swastika Force treasure found in the temple.

Could there be something valuable there?

He would have to study it when he got back!

In the diary previously found in the abandoned mine in New York, several treasure hiding spots had been recorded, yielding a fortune for Sean.

Would he be so lucky again this time?

Putting away the notebook, Sean saw Elijah Hastings and the others dragging the corpses to the entrance of the temple and throwing them down.

"Blow it up!" Sean said, "You’ve all searched the bodies, right? Didn’t find anything?"

"No, these divine servants are really poor!" Douglas Cooper complained, "The temple is decorated so nicely, but these divine servants have no ornaments on them except for their clothes!

Those ragged clothes, who knows how many years they’ve been wearing them, the kind that tears when you pull them! And there are so many patches on them!"

Sean laughed:

"Let’s hurry up then, they might have something up their sleeves, and we can’t let them find out!"

After throwing the corpses into the hollow place in the temple, Sean and the others left with their backpacks, as Elijah threw a bunch of hand grenades into the temple and then ran away.

A few seconds later, a muffled boom sounded from behind, followed by the sand rapidly rushing towards it - a huge hole had appeared there, with countless sand covering the remains of the temple roof, surrounding walls, and other things.

From a distance, the place looked like a big hole in the middle of the sand mountain, showing hardly any other traces.

The four of them, with their backpacks on, quickly left the sand mountain and headed towards the river channel.

Just as they entered the river channel, they heard the roar of an airplane.

"Damn! These guys really aren’t afraid of death. They’ve just been chased by the combat forces, and now they’re back again!" Douglas Cooper leaned against the vertical cliffside by the river and complained:

"It’s true what they say, people die for money, and birds die for food!"

"Aren’t we the same?" Lincoln Harrington looked at him, "We’re all living on the edge, don’t criticize them."

"How can that be the same?" Douglas shook his head, "The danger we encounter, when has it ever not come for us? If they had just ignored us when we came out of the temple, none of that would have happened afterward."

"So you’re saying they asked for it!" Elijah Hastings teased, "They killed themselves by bumping into us, huh!"

"Of course!" Douglas Cooper looked at the circling plane and said:

"Look at it, come even knowing the danger - unlike us, we wouldn’t come if it wasn’t for the opportunity, right boss?"

Sean Knight nodded without hesitation:

"Yeah. If we knew there were two groups of people killing each other here, there would have been no need for us to come."

The plane that courted death circled for a few rounds, not finding any signal from anyone below, then was met by combat forces from neighboring countries.

Despite being quite old Mig-21s, they were still combat aircraft!

The passenger plane immediately fled, pursued by the combat aircraft, and soon disappeared into the distance.

"Let’s go. We need to get out of here as soon as possible," said Sean. "You never know when those divine servants might have reinforcements, and we can’t afford to stick around."

It was impossible for Sean to believe that the divine servants didn’t have reinforcements.

It was impossible for that group of just over twenty people to have survived here for so long.

As for the pure male group, it was impossible for them to continue - judging by their corpses, these divine servants were all young.

Naturally, they couldn’t have eternal youth and live forever either.

That was impossible.

The four of them, with their backpacks on, immediately followed the dried riverbank and cliffside back where they came.
