Chapter 501: Chapter 347: The Cruel Man - Sean Knight_2

Sean Knight then headed towards the tent where the supplies were stored.

The door of the tent was tied shut, so Sean used a knife to cut it open. Upon looking inside, he found that, besides living supplies, there were more than a dozen items, large and small, salvaged from the lake piled up in the corner of the tent.

Most of these items were stone and corroded bronze artifacts, and there was also a safe.

Sean’s Sky Eye swept over it and discovered two gold masks, already packaged, inside the safe!

They had actually salvaged golden treasures from the lake bottom!

Sean waved his hand and collected all the salvaged items.

He had put a lot of items from his spatial realm into the container to deceive the FBI, so there was still plenty of empty space inside.

Sean simply collected most of the supplies here as his own reserve.

Upon leaving the tent, Sean saw that Elijah Hastings was tinkering with something nearby.

At the lakeside, the two boats seemed to have changed: their waterlines were rising, and they were sinking.

"It’s done, let’s go," Sean approached Elijah, "I’ve pretty much sabotaged the supplies inside."

"I also did some minor damage to the machinery outside." Elijah waved his hand lightly, picked up the guard’s gun, and said as they walked away, "They prepared quite thoroughly; we can actually use all these diving equipment..."

"Then take them!" Sean turned back halfway, "After they’re gone, we still have to treasure hunt."

Elijah chuckled; His boss was truly frugal.

Each of them carried a set of diving equipment and quietly left.

About an hour later, the sentry was the first to wake up and began yelling.

From a distance, Sean, who had "hidden" the diving equipment up in a tree and climbed up to observe the camp with a dim light night vision device, saw many people coming out of the camp because of the shouts, followed by even more shouting.

The boats had sunk.

Then, an even bigger startled scream sounded— The door of the tent storing supplies was open, and almost all of the items inside were gone!

People in the camp suddenly panicked, but by this time, Sean and his team had already quietly returned to the edge of the hollow.

"Captain Hastings, do you think they’ll leave after experiencing this?" Douglas Cooper asked, laughing, while eating some of the supplies that Sean had brought out.

"They probably won’t," Elijah shook his head, "Since they’ve already salvaged some items, it’s just a loss of supplies now; as long as no one gets hurt, it’s not enough to make them give up on continuing their treasure hunt."

"In my opinion, we should teach them a lesson, hurt a few of them, so they’ll know better and retreat." Douglas’ smile held a hint of fierceness.

"No rush, take it slow." Sean laughed, "We should be like a dull knife cutting flesh. If it’s too fast, the pain will be short-lived and not so noticeable."

"Boss, you’re ruthless!" Douglas conceded.

"This isn’t ruthless; this is the wisdom passed down from our ancestors." Sean corrected Douglas’s choice of words earnestly.

After eating, they rested in the trees. The forest was unsafe, and the camp was like a frightened bird; no one could guarantee that someone wouldn’t come running over, so they simply found a more spacious spot in the trees and rested with ropes tied around them.

After daybreak, Sean and his team quickly finished their meal and snuck back to the vicinity of the lake, quietly observing the movement in the camp.

The camp was surprisingly lively.

But this liveliness was due to arguments.

From a distance, Sean listened to the bickering between the two sides.

A Native American middle-aged man and a white youth were arguing, with their respective supporters standing on their sides, some trying to persuade and others supporting.

"... Our actions have angered the Sun God, so we can no longer continue salvaging. We must leave!"

"... Don’t you know that someone is causing trouble?" The white youth shouted hoarsely, "What god? Where is any god! It’s just a cowardly pest who doesn’t dare to show its face!"

"A pest? Can a pest take away so many things without a trace? Can a pest silently sink two boats? Can a pest damage all our machinery?"

The series of questions asked by the Native American middle-aged man left the white youth speechless.

Yes, some things could be explained but how could so many supplies, including the salvaged items, have disappeared without a trace? How could that be explained?

However, he couldn’t let them leave. If they left, he would lose his relatively legal right to salvage here.

"...Chief Kickapoo, you can’t leave! If you leave and the Sun God brings disaster, you’ll be in big trouble!"

Looking at the young white man’s words, half-threatening and half-pleading, and recalling the two golden masks salvaged, the Indian Chief Kickapoo also hesitated.

"Chief, don’t worry, I’ll make a phone call in a while, and there will be a helicopter coming to deliver supplies and maintenance workers this morning.

Tomorrow we can continue the salvage operation. Think about what’s in the lake, we have basically determined the location of these things... If we salvage all those things, your tribe will surely stand out among many tribes..."

The persuasive words of the young white man made Chief Kickapoo firm in his idea that it was better to continue salvaging.

These things were originally thrown down by the Indian ancestors to worship the Sun God. Now, as an Indian, it is only legitimate to salvage them and continue to worship the Sun God!

So, the argument didn’t continue.

Sean Knight was somewhat disappointed. If both sides could keep arguing and the Indians, who outnumbered them, leave, then this treasure hunting camp would fall apart.

Of course, with Sean’s current identity, he could completely drive them away in a fair and above-board manner.

However, Sean knew that even if he really drove them away, his four men would be exposed, and it would be bad without the Indians’ presence.

So, it would be better to secretly sabotage and make them doubt each other so that they would leave on their own before taking any action, wouldn’t it?

Besides, Sean was curious when he heard that the white man said they had already determined the location of the treasure.

If he could learn the location of the treasure from them, wouldn’t it save him a lot of trouble?

So, taking it slow was also quite good.

During daytime, they rested, and at noon they heard the roar of a helicopter.

A cargo helicopter circled in the air, turned two rounds, and landed at the makeshift parking apron.

When they heard the roar, Sean and his men rushed to the vicinity and climbed up the tree to observe.

After the helicopter stabilized, three men wearing safety helmets disembarked from the plane, followed by the chief directing the people to move supplies from the plane.

Various supplies were piled up, even more than what Sean had taken away.

In addition to food and drinks, they were also mechanical parts.

After all the things were moved, the helicopter left, and the three maintenance workers started working.

"Boss, should we make trouble for them?" Seeing a maintenance worker had gone into the water to check the situation of the salvage ship, Douglas Cooper whispered, "We can’t let them finish the work!"

"No problem, let’s wait for them to finish, then go away and continue," said Sean, "Now there are people to repair, even if we sabotage, they will continue to fix, it’s not good."

"High, boss, your idea is really high!" Douglas Cooper flattered.

"However, it’s okay to add some problems for them. I’ll go tonight," said Sean, "I still have some drugs that cause diarrhea, which can be used."

That night, two groups of security personnel took turns guarding the tent camp, but to be honest, they couldn’t stop Sean, who had an extraordinary physical constitution.

In the latter half of the night, he quietly bypassed the security personnel and came to the tent where the supplies were stored and put a whole bag of medicine into the large barrel storing drinking water.

Then, Sean left the camp.

In fact, he didn’t plan to take things too far. Otherwise, these people would have been dead by now.

Sean was not a Holy Mother type, but he had his own bottom line. Since they were idle, it was a pleasure to fix these guys.

Take it slow, let them reveal the specific location of the treasure, and then decide whether to strike thunderously or try their luck with their own hands.

The next day, after having breakfast, the people in the camp started their work in divisions.

However, within half an hour, accidents happened!

One by one, they started going to the restroom. Some even went seven or eight times in an hour, leading directly to dehydration!

The campsite nearby was smelly, but there was no care, and people couldn’t catch a breath.

"Boss, this move of yours is really vicious!" Douglas Cooper looked at the people with weak legs who couldn’t even walk and couldn’t help shivering. If it were him, how painful it would be!
