Chapter 1395: Chapter 678: There’s Always Someone Who’s Greedy for Money_2

"Boss, the drone found two groups carrying weapons quietly approaching from the perimeter. They’re about 0.6 miles from our campground now."

"How many people?"

"Both groups are around fifteen people. The images from the drone show that the composition of these groups is quite diverse, seemingly cobbled together temporarily. There’s a high probability they’re from the Diggers acting as temporary robbers."

"Then make a plan, it’s best to set up an ambush. Also, there’s an issue with that Lev, we’ve almost dealt with all the troublesome women now, right? Take Lev and interrogate him!"

"Understood!"

After Lincoln Harrington responded, he turned and left. Sean Knight walked toward his own tent. Viola hurriedly followed.

When Lincoln Harrington was reporting just now, Viola was gestured by Sean Knight to stay a little further away.

These actions had become habitual over time, as Sean Knight often had Viola step aside when he discussed matters with Elijah Hastings and the third person.

The women who were not chosen were somewhat anxious, gathering together and whispering to each other.

Others were coyly flirting with the team members who were moving items.

Lev also stepped forward and joined the team members, speaking well of the women, occasionally pointing out their features, or pulling one aside to show the team members these women’s characteristics.

A team member approached Lev and whispered in English:

"I’ve got something good here, are you interested? Just dug it up," the team member said.

Lev’s eyes lit up upon hearing this but he hesitated.

"It’s definitely a good find! Worth more than those you bought before!" the team member insisted.

That made Lev interested.

The team member led Lev towards a large tent.

"What is it?" Lev asked as he walked, occasionally looking around, still quite alert.

"A large piece of amber dug up from the Underground Warehouse," explained the team member, gesturing, "with two gemstones embedded in it."

As he spoke, he took out a small cut gem and shook it in front of Lev:

"I pried this off with a small knife."

Lev could tell it was a real gem!

Amber with embedded gemstones!

Just those two features alone made Lev’s hands tremble!

If the team member hadn’t produced the item, Lev might have been skeptical. But the shape of that gemstone was clearly of an old-fashioned style.

Young people might not understand, but someone Lev’s age definitely had the experience and could tell at a glance!

Could it be? Could this really be the stroke of luck from the goddess of fortune, stumbling upon that legendary item?

As Lev followed the team member into the tent, his mind was in a daze, his heart still pounding with excitement!

Before Lev could react upon entering, he was immediately pinned down!

Lincoln Harrington pulled a Submachine Gun from Lev. Before Lev could scream, his mouth was covered.

There wasn’t even an interrogation, just a round of punches and kicks. By the time the team members stopped, Lev was battered and bruised.

"Talk, who’s the mastermind? Who’s involved? What’s the plan?" Lincoln Harrington flicked off the fuse on the MP5 Submachine Gun and pressed it against Lev’s face.

"Kulochikov! It was Kulochikov who forced me to do this!"

Lev’s response was immediate; although he had never seen it with his own eyes, he knew that these Chinese People were relentless with those who schemed. If he hesitated, Lev truly believed what awaited him would be a hail of bullets!

"Kulochikov has rallied a total of forty people..." Lev began.

"How many of these women are theirs?"

"Seven..." Lev hadn’t expected that even these women had been discovered.

"How many are still outside, not brought in?"

"One, the one in the red dress..."

Hearing Lev’s answer, Lincoln Harrington immediately turned to the team member beside him:

"Hurry, go out and restrain that woman in the red dress!"

When the team member came out of the tent, he found the woman in the red dress had already been subdued and pinned to the ground by two other team members.

Their boss, Sean Knight, was standing nearby.

The other women were in chaos, then were herded onto the tractor at gunpoint by the team members.

In fact, after Sean Knight pointed out the problem with Lev, he initially felt there was no issue.

But considering it again, he couldn’t be careless. He took Viola back to the tractor, then asked her to identify which of these women were not from the Little Town.

The woman in the red dress was the first to be pointed out.

Sean Knight’s Sky Eye was on the entire time. When he saw Viola point out the woman, he noticed a change in the woman’s muscle movements and immediately pulled Viola back.

While the woman intended to grab Sean Knight as a hostage, she didn’t expect him to discover her first. Two team members in charge of protecting Sean Knight then stepped forward, pinning her down to the ground.

With that, all hidden threats inside the campground were thoroughly eliminated.

The fight in the tent had long been over. Those armed women, caught off guard, were captured one after the other.

A few team members were left to guard these women with guns, while the rest of the team members, fully armed, guided by the drone, advanced to the road where the two groups were headed and set up an ambush in the jungle.

Sean Knight moved to the drone operator’s location to monitor the movements of the two approaching groups on the screen.

Just as the two groups were about to enter the ambush zone, suddenly, several gunshots near the campground scattered the groups!
