Chapter 1341: Chapter 660: To Save or Not to Save?_2

Sean Knight spoke Mandarin, and Elijah Hastings and the others, upon hearing that Sean’s voice was normal, set their minds at ease and left the first floor.

Sean got up, opened the window, and that woman immediately climbed in.

"You... actually look like this?"

At this moment, Sean was in his own appearance, he hadn’t "changed faces," so the woman was vastly surprised when she saw him.

Sean picked up the scepter from the bedside and said:

"Have you thought about it? What will you exchange for it?"

"Anything from our tribe!" the woman urgently said:

"However, could you please rescue the people from our tribe... Just save them, and you can take this scepter, as well as anything else from our tribe!"

So generous?

Sean was taken aback.

What kind of disaster had befallen this tribe to make this woman make such a request, willing to pay such a price?

"Rescue whom? Where? What needs to be done?" Sean asked, getting to the heart of the matter.

"One hundred and thirty-two people from our tribe, all have been captured and are probably being taken by boat now, reportedly to be taken to the Middle East..."

The woman’s voice was already laced with sobs.

"The Middle East?" Sean thought of a possibility and urgently asked, "Who are your enemies, from which family?"

"The Sharde family..." the woman hesitated before revealing the name. After saying it, she looked at Sean, extremely worried that he would back down because of the enormity of that family.

"I see." Sean mused for a moment and said, "Where have the people been transported to now? Can you pinpoint their location? Also, are they... alive?"

"I can sense them." the woman urgently said, "They’re all alive, and they’ve already entered the Pacific Ocean. It takes a long time to travel by sea to the Middle East, so if you could rescue them, there should be enough time on the road..."

"Good," Sean nodded. These people had to be saved. There was a high probability that they were taken because he had eliminated Groove and taken the stock certificate, driving the Sharde Group mad.

No matter the reason they gave for taking people, the real underlying cause, was probably because of this woman’s ability to change her appearance at will.

At the moment, the woman’s face was still that ordinary one, and she probably wasn’t aware that Sean had once seen her true form.

"We need to plan this carefully, I think the best approach is to gain control of the boat while they are docking to resupply midway, and rescue the people," Sean was figuring out a plan:

"So the urgent task is to locate the port where they will dock."

"But with just a few of us..."

"I’ll take care of the manpower, that’s not an issue at all. The key is the port’s location. We probably only have one chance to rescue them!

If we identify the wrong port, and our rescue attempt is exposed, they might very likely either move the captives or..."

Sean glanced at the woman and asked:

"What reason did the people from the Sharde family give for taking you?"

"They said we support Palestine..." the woman sobbed, "Because my mother is from there, so..."

Okay, a laughably poor excuse, yet blatantly used as justification.

"Now we’re going to fly to the South China Sea." Sean said, "We’ll wait there. Once we find out possible ports they could dock at, we’ll begin our action."

"Okay!" The woman nodded. She had no other options. Due to her profession, she didn’t really have any friends, and just before this incident, she witnessed Sean’s power, which was why she sought him out instinctively.

She hadn’t expected him to agree.

Even now, the woman felt as if she was dreaming—

"What’s your name?" Sean asked.

"Seliman," the woman said softly.

"Just call me Sean," Sean nodded.

If said in Chinese, the pronunciation could be somewhat misleading.

However, Sean didn’t explain. He walked to the entrance and said:

"Well, if you plan to stay here, I suggest you change your clothes; what you’re wearing isn’t suitable for going out. If you plan to leave, that’s fine too.

I’ll tell you about my itinerary. Tomorrow morning, I will take an airplane to Manila and then make arrangements for someone to wait at the port where that boat you mentioned might dock..."

"What if it turns out that many ports nearby may be potential docking spots?" the woman asked, somewhat worried.

"Then at every port, I will place a team. At least fifty people," Sean stated, "Rest assured, when it comes to killing, we excel. Rescuing people, we’re equally adept!"

"Then... I’ll come over early tomorrow morning. I’ll change my clothes," the woman said, though she did not understand why Sean was so confident, she could discern that he wasn’t lying.

The woman left through the window as Sean opened the door.

Elijah Hastings and his two companions were sitting in the downstairs living room, and when they saw Sean come out, they breathed a sigh of relief.

"Plans have changed," Sean said, "Tomorrow morning, we take an airplane to Manila. We may have a tough fight ahead..."

"Great!" Douglas Cooper actually cheered.

Sean looked at him curiously.

"Boss, you don’t know, our recent jobs have been somewhat suffocating, and I’ve been feeling terrible. With our strength and resources, why can’t we just go toe-to-toe with those guys?"

Alright then.

"This time it’s about rescuing people." Sean ignored the joker and continued:
