Chapter 1336: Chapter 658: Return Voyage, Pursue the Victory!_3
About an hour later, a penguin popped its head up; seeing Sean Knight, it wasn’t frightened and climbed onto the ice before turning around to look into the sea.
The second penguin climbed up... to Sean Knight’s surprise, the second one was the little penguin!
After it came up, it vigorously shook its feathers. Upon seeing Sean Knight, it wobbled over, opened its mouth, and spat out a small fish!
Sean Knight smiled.
It seemed to be offering him a fish!
Sean Knight squatted down, picked up the fish, and fed it to the penguin. The little penguin, seeing that Sean Knight did not eat it, looked a bit puzzled but ultimately swallowed the fish.
One after another, the penguins emerged and soon formed a long line, starting to head back.
The little penguin took a few steps, then turned its head to look at Sean Knight.
Sean Knight waved his hand, signaling it to go on.
Only then did the little penguin follow the group of penguins and leave.
Not until the penguins were out of sight did Sean Knight return to the icebreaker ship.
"Boss, we’ve completed everything you arranged," Elijah Hastings said. "The guns have been distributed. We’ve given out all the instructions. We can leave by helicopter tomorrow."
Sean Knight nodded and then asked,
"Have we wiped out all our traces?"
"All cleaned up. Once we get back, we’ll change our faces back, and nobody will know it was us. I’ve already contacted Mr. Young, and he’ll arrive tomorrow."
"Alright, tell him we’ll head to New York then."
Sean Knight pulled out two bundles of US Dollars, saying,
"This is 200,000, give it to those two men."
Elijah Hastings nodded and went to take care of it.
This time, the most direct gain was the contents of that warehouse.
Sean Knight had never calculated its value, but it was certainly substantial.
Although he didn’t know whether there would be more underground civilizations in the Antarctic Continent, just this discovery alone had overturned his understanding—he never imagined that, thousands of years ago, there were humans living here.
Earth sure had many unsolved mysteries.
Those who were overly reliant on science should wake up. Blind faith in science is also a superstition!
Back in his cabin, Sean Knight went over the details of this trip to ensure there were no problems and then, still dressed, went to sleep.
Early the next day, the group of six boarded the helicopter and flew away.
Shortly after the helicopter took off, Douglas Cooper suddenly pointed at the ship below and said:
"Boss, the icebreaker is moving!"
Sean Knight turned his head and saw that indeed, the icebreaker had slowly started moving.
It seemed that the people left behind also knew danger was approaching and wanted to leave to protect themselves.
More than half an hour later, Douglas Cooper shouted again,
"Boss, look, there’s a boat!"
Indeed, in the sea territory below them, a civil rescue boat of several thousand tons was heading toward the Antarctic Continent!
The people on the boat also noticed the helicopter, with someone waving flags on deck incessantly and others shouting through the radar.
Elijah Hastings, piloting the plane, didn’t care at all. The helicopter roared past, leaving only baffled faces on the boat’s deck.
"It’s a good thing there was only one empty seat on that boat," Douglas Cooper said.
"We can’t be careless. Once we get to Argentina, we’ll immediately ditch the airplane and get away from here quickly," Sean Knight said. "Safety comes first; not only safety but we better make sure nobody can find us."
Seeing the puzzled looks from Indian and the solid guys, Lincoln Harrington explained:
"The family behind this incident is extremely powerful. If they really find us, endless trouble will follow. We just want to make some money, not blow things out of proportion."
Of course, more people didn’t believe this than did.
After all, Sean Knight had nearly pushed the Sharde family to their limits.
The Sharde family’s strength far exceeded that of the Davena family.
But some things are better left unsaid.
Indian and the solid guys understood upon hearing this.
Each receiving 100,000 dollars, plus the wages they got from Nancy, was enough for them to live happily in their own countries for quite some time.
With the wage level at the solid guys’ place, that money was enough to last a lifetime.
So when he heard this, he immediately said,
"I’ll take a connecting flight home, no longer venturing out."
Indian had the same idea.
And so it was settled.
Several hours later, the airplane landed near a small town in Argentina. Sean Knight and his team swapped the helicopter for two second-hand cars and headed toward the nearest city.
After swapping cars twice more, they arrived at the airport.
After bidding farewell to Indian and the solid guys, Sean Knight and the rest took an airplane piloted by Charles Young directly to New York.
Upon arriving in New York, Charles Young needed a rest and applied for a route to Big Island, while Sean Knight and the others went to his Villa.
Sean Knight didn’t plan to meet with any acquaintances before he dealt with the Davena family’s warehouse here.
Since they had an address, the search area was small, and it took Elijah Hastings and his team less than a day of inquiring to pinpoint the Davena family’s location here.
It was a villa as well as a Shopping Center.
The shopping center had four floors in total; the first, second, and third floors were open for business, selling high-end products.
Only the fourth floor was publicly announced as a warehouse, but according to what Elijah Hastings and his team observed, this warehouse wasn’t open to the public.
All the windows were tightly sealed. The shops in the shopping center below never took stock from there.
Sean Knight was convinced it was the place.
"For this operation, each of you three will get one million dollars," Sean Knight said. "I’ll transfer it directly to your accounts. I don’t want to say more, and neither should you ask."
Douglas Cooper looked puzzled, but since Sean Knight said not to inquire, he could only contain his curiosity. He was very curious about what Sean Knight had gained from his trip to the Antarctic.
Clearly, he was not going to get an answer.
Seeing his constipated expression, Sean Knight couldn’t help but laugh inappropriately.
"Tonight, after the shopping center closes, we’ll go," Sean Knight continued. "You keep watch outside, and I’ll go in to find the target. No matter the outcome, I’ll leave within an hour at most. We aim for a quick operation."
"Okay," nodding, Elijah Hastings agreed.
"There will definitely be some security measures in the shopping center; I’m not an expert in that, so I leave it to you," Sean Knight went on. "The best outcome is for us to get in and out without a sound, unnoticed by anyone."
Lincoln Harrington nodded.
In the early hours of the morning, the four of them set off.
