Chapter 1198: Chapter 612 The Overwhelming "Locusts" Have Arrived! _2
"Let’s go," Sean Knight glanced over and chose not to pay further attention, instead urging the others, "By tonight, you’ll see, there won’t be fewer than ten campsites here!"
No more than 10 minutes after they started the car, the sound of helicopter blades whirred in the sky overhead.
"Really domineering!" Elijah Hastings exclaimed, "They came directly by airplane!"
"If you want to watch the excitement, let’s go somewhere more secluded," Sean Knight suggested with a smile, "Who knows, we might witness a ’dog-eat-dog’ scenario."
"Then let’s have a look," Cheryl Suweton didn’t want to leave either, "Where should we stop?"
"Ahead in the trees, there’s a flat area," said Sean Knight with a smile, "Those who don’t want to watch can look for resources inside. Those who want to, can enjoy the show."
This place was some distance away from the lakeside; those who arrived later would definitely not choose to set up camp here. It was inconvenient.
But for Sean Knight and his companions, it was very convenient.
Soon they arrived at the vacant land. Since they didn’t plan to stay long, they didn’t set up a tent, simply taking out some essential living supplies.
"Let’s head to the lakeside and have a look," Sean Knight was keen to check out the commotion, "Without the campsites visible, just the car, we won’t be such a big target."
Two of them walked towards the lakeside, followed not far by Elijah Hastings and two team members.
Lincoln Harrington took some people to gather resources. Such an environment was rare domestically, so they planned to search more; once they left, it wouldn’t be easy to find anything like this again.
Sean Knight and Cheryl Suweton were the most relaxed of all. The mission was complete, and they had received even more than they expected. So now, it was time for a leisurely break.
Life is like this. You work for a better life. Once your conditions improve, let your mood get better too; that’s what makes life meaningful.
If you’re constantly busy, then life becomes incredibly dull...
That’s what Cheryl Suweton was telling Sean Knight as they walked.
Sean Knight just listened, without replying.
He didn’t want to tell Cheryl Suweton that in this world, some people exhaust all their energy just trying to live; where would they find the time, money, and energy to worry about whether they’re feeling good or not?
People’s joys and sorrows are not always relatable. Expecting a millionaire to empathize with a beggar’s life is as absurd as expecting experts who live in mansions worth tens of millions and work in bright luxurious offices with central air conditioning to analyze how an old farmer should farm the fields!
So Cheryl Suweton’s words were right for her and right for him, but not necessarily for everyone.
Laughing and talking, the two arrived at the lakeside. Cheryl Suweton noticed there were indeed two more groups of people hastily setting up campgrounds.
Some couldn’t wait and had already dived into the water. Others were observing from the lakeside. And there were those like experts crouched down by the lake, picking up fragments to study.
Thinking that the most important things were now in his spatial realm, Sean Knight felt a sense of superiority as he looked down on these people.
"Dear, look at that splash!" Cheryl Suweton suddenly nudged him, "Is that the giant shark coming?"
Sean Knight was stunned for a moment; could it be so soon?
He looked in the direction Cheryl Suweton was pointing, and indeed, there was a large wave on the lake surface.
It was quite far, so even with Sky Eye Sean Knight couldn’t see exactly what was beneath, but it was definitely no small thing.
The people at the lakeside, belatedly, also noticed the wave, shouting and calling over more people.
Someone even raised a gun and fired several shots in that direction.
Instant complaints erupted from some towards the gunman.
Sean Knight listened and assumed there were members of animal protection organizations among the crowd.
Damn it, it’s chaos!
The shooter argued back with the objectors, but eventually holstered the weapon.
The wave disappeared for a while, leading many to believe that the underwater creature had been scared off or injured and had dived away.
Just then, those on the Highterrace quickly noticed that closer to the lake surface, another wave had appeared, this one much bigger than the last.
Then Sean Knight also saw that the shadow beneath the wave wasn’t a giant shark but looked like something from ancient times, a snake-necked dragon, with a slender neck and a bulky body, stretching nearly ten meters long!
It swam rapidly underwater, but as it neared the Lakeside, it suddenly twisted around, creating a large splash that soaked many and the big creature turned towards the deep lake!
"Dear, did you see that? It doesn’t look anything like a shark!" Cheryl Suweton, with sharp eyes, saw beneath the waves a body longer than the sharks they knew, a creature she had never seen before!
"Indeed, it’s not a shark, maybe a water monster?" Sean Knight said, uncertain, turning his head to look the other way, where someone on the platform was capturing photos with a camera.
"My God! A water monster! A dragon! A snake-necked dragon!"
The cinematographer shouted loudly, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
Sean Knight was also pulled over by Cheryl Suweton.
They were strong and quickly pushed their way to the photographer, looking at the images on the digital camera.
The photo was blurry, but it showed a shadow that was indeed elongated, tapered at the front and larger at the back, certainly not a shark.
